Nobuo! We love you! Thank you for making my childhood a little more happy thanks to your amazing music in Final Fantasy games! You truly helped me to become more human.
I have seen so many versions of this song but it is just this one that gave me goosebumps for 2 minutes and 27 seconds straight! Nobuo Uematsu is a living legend.
Beautiful. One of things I love about this song is that it sounds like it is struggling to progress. Because during in this part game, it was of course a sad shock to the system. And as most gamers probably didn’t want what was happening to be true and didn’t want the story to progress this way. And I think the melody expresses that amazingly. It truly carries that emotion and the lack of willingness to move on, but as the melody does progress, we understand the sadness is true and that was we must go on.
FF7 is by far the best in the entire franchise next to X imo. Don’t care what anyone says. The game is so monumentally big that it shook the whole world when it’s remake was finally being made into reality…
I never played OG FF7. My first introduction was watching Briana White (Aerith's VA) playing the game for the first time and I heard the music playing during Aerith's introduction. it instantly brought me to tears.
Unfortunatelly the source of this video is not available anymore. Maybe I'll not able to keep this video up longer. You can watch this more recently version th-cam.com/video/1TsrjJr1yTA/w-d-xo.html
lol people be thinking that they can play a bunch of notes at once means it sounds good when its just showing off. Made Aerith theme sound worse. Uematsu version is better
For me you have to look at arrangements like this as something very different. More like a piano transcription of an imaginary symphonic arrangement. I think, when you listen like that, you can imagine all those little flourishes on the flutes or harps and it's easy to see them working well. I think at a slightly slower and more flexible tempo this arrangement could work on piano too.
@@JoshWiniberg ur point is valid in terms of music craftsmenship, but OG comment is right - it just doesnt sound good, the extra notes take away from overall song mood and experience.

The song no doubt a bit sad(aerith still dead in the new series). However you must admit that you are drawn to it. This theme really piece of art.😊
