- This is such a useful bag, for your devices, for school, knitting and crochet, anything that needs a really practical and easy to make bag... you could make this within the hour!
My pattern for this can be found at www.lizzycurtis.com £3.50, actually its on sale at £2.50 as a PDF download.
To cut this bag you need:
Outer piece 13.5" x 25" cut 1
Wadding or batting as above
Lining as above
Straps, cut 2 ... 4” x 27" strips and stabiliser. I use Vlieseline H250
(its a medium weight iron on stabiliser)
2 buttons is optional.
The fabric I used:
Stonehenge .Maplewood. by Linda Ludovico for Northcott
Lining is Tilda
Hi Lizzy , this is fabulous xx
Awesome project. So useful ❤
Thank you so very much for your awesome tutorial!! OMG!!! A tablet/laptop bag with NO ZIPPER! And really secure?!?!?! Love it! Just love it! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoy watching you make your sewing projects . These are things I can make . Thank you
This is so great!! I want to sew something for my grandson but most things are a bit “girly” aren’t they? I’m imagining this in faux leather/vinyl with his favorite team fabric as liner. Thank you so much! I’ve been holding back in sewing for his sister while looking for ideas for him. I’ll make a “girly” one and a “cool” guy one. Since their gadgets are smaller hand-me-downs, I might be able to sew up a pocket in one side. You’re wonderful!! Thank you
Just love watching your tutorials can't wait for the next one
Hi Lizzy! Truly enjoy your teaching technique! Your easy to follow and make me laugh with your honesty!

I am defiantly going to make all the things I have seen, and this lap top holder it’s super for gifts 🎁.....and will be well appreciated. 🌹❤️🌹❤️
A very handy thing to do when securing your handles so they stay straight and out of the way during turning is to pin them down securely with safety pins.
lovely. Thank you so much,
👍
Hi Lizzy I would like to make this laptop bag I love it. My query is the fabric I have chosen is directional is there anything I can do to make sure the fabric doesn’t turn out upside down Many thanks x
Did you get a response to this?
Vliseline youve got it 😂😂
Just wondering if you waited to put your straps on until after you've put the lining on and turned it right side out...would it make a difference?
Becca Bohannon it would just mean you’re stitching right through to the lining, but as it’s inside the bag it won’t be seen by anyone except you.
Are there measurements for a directional print please? I don’t want the back to have an upside down pattern.
The whole pattern would need to be redrafted as it would need cutting in 3. I’m unable to do this for you x
@@LizzyCurtis no worries, thank you.
Hi Lizzy would it be possible to do a pattern for a brother scan n cut bag (Or cover), I've just found your channel (and subscribed) free patterns are a bonus
Hi, Naomi Lamb, Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada
Why didn’t you leave your turning hole at the inside edge of the bag. That way there would be absolutely no reason to hide in a side seam.
Sandra Newton great idea x
In your video you cut straps at 4" × 27 - but in description box you wrote " 2" × 27" we all make mistakes every now and then!!! 😀😀😀
Sharon Ruest thanks!! I’ll change it x
@@LizzyCurtis 👍👍👍👍👍
This old bird picked up on it being an experienced sewer but a newbie would be totally confused!! ✂📏✂📏✂
❤️💕❤️💕❤️💐
What is the name of the black and white bag in the back of you on your left?
That's a new pattern just completed for my Gold members for December but available on my website on 1st January, as yet unnamed... but it will begin with "O" :)
P.s. I think I will make me a hand bag..
