I love these videos you do on your travels Oscar. The presentation, style, format and way it’s all put together is so professional. The intro alone was fantastic and like the start of a short film! Patel would be pissed to know their gem stone nautilus had been sold onto the grey market. They know exactly who sold those limited pieces as well.
Interesting thought Howard! I’ve actually seen more of these watches available in the secondary market than ever before. I think deep down Patek actually don’t care at that level let me tell you why I think this. To even get entertained to be on the list for even a totally boring plain Nautilus or plain Aqua you need to have bought 3-5 pieces that you don’t want. Now let’s think about something actually special like a 5740G/5990 probably 8-10 pieces including some whacky diamond type stuff. Now let’s think of what it takes to get a sapphire from them 18-25 pieces easily 7 figures spent maybe more!!! By that point you are VVIP they are flying you to events just to have a look at new releases with some champagne. The sad truth is they don’t ‘press’ these clients whatsoever. money talks it always has and it always will. Also people’s circumstances change! Some change their mind about watches. Some decide they can’t wear them enough. Some hit hard times! Not every rich person stays that way. It’s actually easier to make it than it is to keep it 👀 I’m fascinated to chat with you Sir let me know what you think?

I do love the 5990 in Rose gold it’s a killer watch and I reviewed it in the video called ‘the master collection’ if you’d like a look 👀 as for the new ones I wondered if they might be called 5981/5991 but they look a little sloppy on paper by patek standards so maybe 5980/2r something, hmmm time will tell!! 🤣🤣 have you ever worn one? Seen inside one? The materials alone far exceed the ‘general norm’ used by the old guard brands. Of course they are controversial watches and wildly priced in some limited pieces but a scam? That’s like saying they aren’t well made? I wore the RM027 Nadal for a long weekend I swear it’s the most madly designed watch I’ve ever worn. Weight is the same as 4 sheets of A4 paper 🤣 nadal calls it his second skin because it’s that light. How can it be a scam if he smashes serves in it all day long and the movement still works perfectly? I’m interested in your thoughts and this is always a good place for discussion amongst us 🎉🫡🤝🥳
