Kallinich works for ALS [this was his submission to be an ALS Master Watchmaker] and 2. the 18K red gold "Richard Lange" ref. 232.032 is virtually identical and is available. I just tried one on at my local boutique.
Rolex is trash
@@BabyJesus66 "Rolex is trash" This just proves how ignorant you are regarding watches. Rolex didn't get to where they are by making trash. 50 years ago, Rolex made great watches, I was there, and I remember as I owned one. The simple fact is their watches today are much better made.
PP or Relox look like cereal box prizes when laying next to even basic Lange. Relox got where it got through 100 years long consistent, effective marketing campaign.
and this is why collecting watches is so addictive. The creativity, the beauty, the history, the engineering, the mechanics, the complications, the sounds, etc.!
Yes! PURE! No crass commercialism, Tudor, Rolex, CW! Nothing but actual class!!
The best voiceover for any video, for any topic, only Carl Sagan talking about space and galactic systems comes close.
Every time I see that Credor I get all crazy inside.
If you look up the word "sublime" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of the Ichi II next to it. Simply stunning!

Hello and, as usual, thanks for your vid. This one has been especially interesting. Not just because you chose 3 A. Lang & Shone, but also because I discovered a watch maker I hadn't heard of before, Johannes Kallinich. Thank you for this great discovery.
YES!!! I knew the Johannes Kallinich Meisterwerk watch gonna be the last one. It was a amazing watch from such a young watch maker too. Simply brilliant.
I knew the Credor would be here. All the watches here are hugely impressive, but like you, the Credor is the one I'd have.

The first A.Lange was my favourite in that beautiful gold tone is stunning
Great video! I love the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Tourbillon and the Credor. The Lange for that dial, OMG, WANT it looks so cool. And the Credor for it's simplicity and perfect execution.
My favorite as a watch enthusiast and an Industrial Designer it of course the "one off" Johannes Kallinich timepiece. A true grail as with only one, it's impossible to acquire. However, don't lose hope as my personal favorite A. Lange & Sohne watch is the 18K rose gold, 40.5mm "Richard Lange" ref. 232.032. Compare the two watches, they are almost identical. At $40.4K retail, the Richard Lange is pricey BUT not when you look at the secondary market where they routinely trade for $25-$30K.
Sounds like a great subject for your next video as you are employed by a pre-owned luxury watch dealer. 🤔

The Dornbluth & Sohne caliber q2010 with the hand engraved dial. It featured in another WF video. Amazing. A 9 people company making these watches in the sleepy town of Kalbe in former East Germany.
As a dress watch kind of guy the Moser Swiss Alp has always been a favourite. Sports wise it's the Lange Odyesseus.

OMG that Credor looks amazing. All of these are soooo above what I could ever touch that I would go with the CWard Bel Canto and C1 Moonphase
I love CW. Good picks!! I want the C1 Moonphase and I just got the C65 Aquitaine in Green last week. Amazing watch at any price, let alone such a bargain.
The pricing of CWard is pretty great. I really like the C65 as well, congrats on that. Such a fun watch brand.

At the moment my favourite is the Christopher Ward Bel Canto. The H. Moser Apple Watch is one I’d love to own partly because of the conversations it would start but it’s way out of my budget.

The Triple Split is a thing of beauty and a grail watch of mine. The 500+ pieces in its complication gives me a mechanical buzz whenever I look at its case back.

Personal opinion I guess the grand seiko fits exactly what you’re saying .
Someone who has far more expensive watch than the gs ,still I always end up wearing the gs.

Credor Eichi II always be my Final watch to buy if I ever want to stop collecting watches :)

This was a great video. My kid used to say ‘because’, ‘just because’, when he was younger and got in trouble. I made him watch this.
My triple black single stone 1983 Swatch watch holds a very special place with me as it was the first proper watch that I bought with my pocket money at the ripe old age of 11 . It was my watch bought and paid for with my own money. And I wore it untill i started work . I still have it and it still works . The one watch I will never get rid off. To me it's irreplaceable and priceless. And even today with my ever growing collection of watches,no matter the watch ,right there in pride of place in it's watch box is my triple black Swatch .even my Cartier,Rolex,Patek, Breitling,and many others can't lay claim to the top spot. Some will laugh it's a plastic Swatch but to me it was the first of many and I had bought it with my money.

The Breguet was incredible.
The Seiko Credor Eichi 2 has definitely grail watch potential..
Romain Jerome Chronograph Titanic DNA and the Daniels Anniversary are the two most beautiful _things_ ever made by man.
I hadn't heard of Credor, but that is WILD. Maybe I'm not the only one, because I see some good used ones for way less than Grand Seiko! They're going on my list.
Credor is a japan only jewelry brand, hence not many models trickle out and they are heavily discounted when they do. Seiko has not done the greatest job with it. There is some overlap with Grand Seiko (notably the Eichii).
@@rashakorCredor focuses on Japanese aesthetics and philosophy. I wouldn't say there's overlap with GS just because of the price range.
Safe to say you love Lange! Glad thats the case.

For me, the 'nicest' watch I have is a Rolex Sea Dweller ref 126603. A watch to 'own the room'. The other one, on a completely different standard, is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compresor Geographic, which I also own.
May I suggest the JLC Reverso Grande Complication à Triptyque, the most complicated watch from the watchmakers' watchmaker.
What a fabulous selection. A lot of A.Lange could tempt me as well. However, that would mean selling the car or even the house. Minor detail... 🤣At some stage I will hopefully have the means to at least buy a Ressence. When I saw those I was immediately sold on this unique way of telling time.
I still can’t get over my speedmaster !! Watches way more expensive than this one somehow still awe me

The Piaget is at the top of my wish list, followed closely by the Freak.
Craftsmanship + scarceness + cost = a hobby we all enjoy marveling at.
I chuckled when I saw the H. Moser Swiss Alp, and then looked down at my Apple Watch.
I like watches with a story behind them an example would be the Breguet, A Rattrapante Minute Repeater that belonged to Winston Churchill. Or the Rolex 3525 (the P.o.W). Or even my own pocket watch which belonged to my great uncle who was a Hansard reporter in the 1930's and 40's. I could go on, but you get the idea.

If a Christopher Ward isn't on the list I'll stop vicariously collecting watches through this and other watch channels, since I would have clearly failed at my basic knowledge of Mr Talking Hands favorites
Tbf, given the number of class watches Andrew gets to see, a watch that sounds like it’s been made by Chris next door really shouldn’t be on the list 😂

Loved every single timepiece featured, and love the humour too!

yes, Fine watches are ( looking at you Glashutte Original) but the average , common man's watch ( Fossil, Shinola) and a whole host of others, simply are not!

In my list, I will replace H Moser Swiss Alps watch with H Moser Perpetual calendar. Then include FP Journe Resonance , FP Journe centigraphe souverain and Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Quadriptyque.

Hard to look past Breguet Double Tourbillon in this selection for the simple fact of it's mechanical design and output.
1 marie antoinette (belongs in a museum should not be allowed to be purchased),
2 grandmaster chime (belongs in a museum but can be bought),
3 astronomia,
4 rainbow daytona
5 any cheap g shock knockoff that you can get anywhere cos its cheap and gets the job done
