Commissioner Gordon: And so today you've learned the secret identity of Batman is Killer Croc.
"Arrest him!"
"But he saved the town, he's Batman"
"....Alright"
The REAL mastery of sneakery here is Commissioner Gordon, who apparently wasn't even wearing a hat, let alone a disguise.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀
I suppose to be fair in a sea of trench coats he's a tree in a forest
I always thought that Batman and the cops were the first to arrive at the bar. Then Joker and the rest of the villains arrived without notice the cops because all of them were undercover
"Gordon no densetsu: master of disguise".
Well he took out his glasses
Mark Hamill is the ultimate Joker laugh.
Mark Hamill is the ultimate Joker.

Ur right about that. No one will be as good as mark hamill
+IronDawg Heath Ledger came close.
What I like best is how, when you rewatch the episode knowing that “Killer Croc” is Batman in disguise, you notice that Croc was the one driving the “almost got him” conversation all along (he’s the first person to say “You’d think one of us would have gotten him by now”); here, he outright asks what happened to Catwoman. In other words, Batman set the whole plan up, knowing that his foes-and especially Joker-couldn’t resist bragging about their escapades. And it all worked perfectly! :D
💯 yup. Bats was low-key steering the conversation the whole time, getting them to talk. However, I strongly feel that Batman was not Croc the entire time. I think a switch was made at some point. Actually, I think the switch was right when Croc says "one of us would have gotten him by now".
When Ivy shows up and kicks croc under the table, and Croc steals some guys chair and sits down like he wasnt just beat up by a girl, they kind of start the shot at Crocs hands and slowly pan up to only his mouth.
my favorite part was when "Croc" was embarrassed about his story and just went "Well it was a pretty big rock."
@@BowenEros-gt8gnI'm surprised that the other villains didn't pick up that, but Batman didn't overplay his hand too much. Not only a detective, but an actor as well! 😅
Their faces! It really speaks to the depths of Joker's sociopathy when he does something even other supervillians are horrified at.
I think unlike Joker the three of them have some semblance of sanity, if not morality.
+John Canary My point. But even so not one of them are above taking lives in, shall we say, creative ways.
This is also true, but at least they'd give their victims a fighting chance.
Or the fact that the Joker actually enjoys said sociopathy. For him, it's not just about killing enemies, it's about enjoying pain and being as evil as freaking possible!
Joker actually also doesnt fear death. Because he wants to die an deep insane mental fear to people for life even after hes gone. Thats why his life is nothing more than creating madness every way possible. Getting the last laugh....
That constant weapon clicking that lasted for like 30 seconds was hilarious!!! HAhah!!
Yeah it was pretty badass
I noticed these Gotham cops are slower on the draw than the Chicago cops who bust the two idiots sticking up the bar in Code Of Silence
It was 10 minutes actually.
HighSkyz agreed.
I thought it was annoying.
Batman dropped the mic and walked off stage.
LIKE A BOSS
The funny thing I get from this episode is that Batman is Croc, and in Croc-Bat's view, the closest anyone of them ever got to killing Batman is when Croc threw a big rock at him. So...could it be that, from Batman's own view, the closest anyone of them at that table got to killing him is when Croc threw a big rock at him one time? Because that would be hilarious, with all these other villains thinking that their over-the-top attempts were the closest, when the closest anyone ever really got was when Croc threw a big rock at him once.
Well straightforward, and unlike the others it wasn't a big deathtrap that he could easily escape. It was a BIG rock flying straight at him. Batman, good as he is, is still human and THAT could indeed kill him.
+Ryan Dartez Or how about this?
*Penguin:* Prepare to meet your end in my Aviary of Doom!
*Ivy:* Aviary of WHAT?
*Joker:* Sheesh, Penguin, how corny can you get?
Better still, during "The Trial" we get this gem.
*Scarface:* Court is now in session! The Good People of Arkham Asylum vs. the self-righteous vigilante called Batman! Our prosecutor is ready, likewise our fair and impartial jury!
*Mad Hatter:* Hang him!
*Harley: * Shoot him!
*Croc:* Hit him with a rock!
***** LOL the more I watch this the more I think Batman was straight up trolling the bad guys. Who says he doesn't have a sense of humor?
Croc throwing a rock at Batman came later on from this episode. That was an episode later in the BTAS series, called "Sideshow". But I've heard the reason the producers did that was because of this episode where the fake-Croc talked about almost killing Batman that way.
I chose to believe this theory
Dramatic reveal using lighting and shadow, shows back in the days are so artistic.
cartoonjerk I saw this when I was a child: it was an iconic scene so impressive that I still remember now
cartoonjerk Apparently the animators questioned the logic of it, but kept it in anyway because it looked iconic. I think they were right.
Exactly. The chapter has some drawn differences but the LAST scene is amazing.
For real, it doesn't make ANY sense, but who cares it was still awsome.
Did anyone make a GIF on that epic reveal?
This episode is a great example of how Batman puts the phrase "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" to good use.
Wait, so does this mean it was Batman who told a funny joke?
+TheRealGK Except he was unconscious when Croc nearly crushed him with that boulder so him referencing it kind of doesn't make a whole lot of sense
+KaijuD He made up the story.
***** Well no it actually did happen in a previous episode. Adding to the humor was that "the big rock" was actually a large boulder he was getting ready to crush Batman with but Batman was unconscious at the time so him referencing it kind of doesn't make sense.
+KaijuD Could easily just be a coincidence. He does say "threw a rock at him," even though he was actually slamming it down in the actual episode.
Yes unfortunately it was all just a ploy to keep his disguise more solid.
- How did you do that? Croc's makeup, voice and...
- Bitch, i'm Batman
- Ok point taken
My bad I accidentally reported your post cause I'm falling asleep but yes, he's Batman
i dunno, voice modulator?

0:29 you know the Joker is literally evil incarnate when the other villains are genuinely creeped out and disturbed by him
0:31 Ivy is having a Nam's flashback.
That's a case of "Even Evil Has Standards". The other villains might want to get Batman, but they are sickened at the idea of killing Catwoman just to spite him.
@@supersonicheroesAnd in such a disgusting, gruesome way. The Penguin, Ivy, and Two-Face may be violent criminals with Machiavellian tendencies, but they're also professionals on some level. Something like that would be considered needlessly barbaric, cruel, and just downright inhuman.

But not Killer Croc, as we found out why.
Joker is an EVIL Psychopathic Monster
They're like, " Wtf is wrong with you?!" Looking at the Joker with scared expressions except for Croc.
It’s understandable though, jokers mind is so fucked up it is considered a super power
There's something super special about this ep - the way they play with the shadows, the lighting being slightly off, having a renowned group of super-villians chillin' at poker, Batman being their the whole time... Kinda sad how they can't catch a break without being caught, but hey.
I love how Batman isn't the center of the episode

As a kid you don't really appreciate how much of a masterpiece this show really is.
I love how Poison Ivy looked so spooked since CatWoman was one of her friends.
...And look at Batman while disguising as Killer Croc. He's hideously not smile when Joker telling that 'joke'.
Ivy hasn't even teamed up with Catwoman in this show. Not even once. So I doubt they're friends in this universe.
Plus, Catwoman is really slippery and, somehow, has never once set foot in Arkham.
@@jasobres Selena is perfectly sane, she went to prison but got out early on good behavior.
@@sabishiihito I think Selena and Penguin are the only villains on this show who don’t go to Arkham (and Clayface since he’s never captured in the series)
Holy shit.
Batman dress up as Killer Croc, rounded up all his biggest baddies, and convinced EVERY cop in Gotham to pretend to be club-patrons?
That's badass, even for Batman.
Batman: But I'm not bad with traps myself
And you know why?
BECAUSE HE IS BATMAN!
amen to that lol
+Razthor Fordring Because HE'S BATMAN!!! XD
He's got a butler.
And who says Batman can't be funny
The shadow effect was so cool. That's why I love the old animated series.
Batman's voice actually fits really well with the Croc appearance.
That sound of the guns cocking, it's AWESOME!!!
The fact that they were all horrified by what Joker was going to do to Catwoman tells you how horrific his sociopathic nature is
Except Killer Croc, because it was the Dark Knight in disguise the whole time.
He turned Robin into a joker junior and used him as a time share
This is one reason I really love the joker not only are the other villains basically afraid of him and the depths of his depravity but also that he essentially does it out of sheer enjoyment and finally there is that iconic laugh XD
The first time I saw this episode on DVD, I was completely shocked when Killer Croc sounded like Batman right before he lifted the Joker and threw him across the table. It was only after I saw the silhouette of Batman when I finally understood. Goes to show that Batman is a master of disguise.
Goes to show you Batman is a straight up G, snaps his
fingers the whole room points guns at the four villains in the room
Really Penguin, you're checking the cards? Of course, The Joker is cheating! You all are cheating!
Ivy and Penguin probably weren't. Joker was undoubtedly cheating.
Penguin considers himself a gentleman of high class, so I doubt he'd stoop to cheating.
+Link2Hyrule25 Depends of the version. In Arkham City, Zsasz tells the story of the time he got caught cheating at Poker against Penguin in his own Lounge... But if you pay enough attention to the cards he says Penguin had, it becomes obvious Penguin was shamelessly cheating too.
+TheOnlyTherazan I am referring to this one, and to most of them as well. Considering everything the villains go through in the Arkham games I'd say that version of him is unique.
Oh, really? Try listening to Victor Szasz's story, during the Cold Call Killer case, in Batman: Arkham City.
Solid 12 seconds of gun-cocking.

I think these versions of the characters are some of the best versions in any form of media (especially Batman, Two-Face, Penguin and Joker)

Batman being Croc all along? The first time I saw this episode, I did not see that coming. Great plot twist.
Catching the major villians and a game of poker, seems like the police are being treated well this time.
Back when real guns were allowed in cartoons...
+Joseph Gregory I remember there was a lot of "laser" bs too in the 90s.
Like for real , you should up what happened to scar face in this show
LegacyKnight3000 Ikr. Why are we going backwards with censorship?
Real guns....in cartoons. Sure.
The only way they were allowed to get away with having realistic guns in the show was by setting it in a 1930s retro world. Network execs said they had only two options- modern Gotham with ray guns like Superman TAS did, or retro Gotham and realistic guns.
this was a kool set up one of the best episodes of the series

0:46 The Joker's reaction.
It's also because he was the first to recognize Batman - by his voice.
True.

I love how it turns out it was Batman in disguise. First he gives the Joker a righteous thrashing for being such a psychotic monster, then when the other villains think they've got him in their sights; Batman: Oh, yeah? (snaps his finger). (Suddenly it turns out practically everyone else in the casino is actually a cop and this whole thing was a sting operation to catch the bad guys?!) YAHOOOOOO!

The Joker, Poison Ivy, The Penguin and Two Face, four of Gotham's deadliest criminals and Batman outsmarted them all under one roof.
The trap was set and they fell into it. What they didn't know was that Batman was there, under their noses all this time, disguised as Killer Croc.
The faces of disbelief when rhey discovered Barman was sitting amongst them disguised as Croc the whole time.
(All the cops pull their guns out. One cop pulls a RPG from behind the bar. On the side of the round it says "Got 'em")
Gordon: No, Francis!

Deadpool: Yes, Larry.
So you could say he almost got'im
The way the lamp casts a silhouette over Bruce’s disguise just makes this whole scene feels visually striking.
"Killer Croc" (with Batman's voice): _I don't think so._
Joker: O_O ........ OH CRAP
Batman snapping and auddenly the GCPD appears out of nowhere aka, were disguised with Joker and his crew not even noticing
Man. That there was powerful
Look at the guns used during that sequence at the end, mostly the pistols. Standard models for cops, yes, but then you see two revolvers. Only two. And they belong to Gordon and Bullock, the commissioner and veteran detective of the GCPD. I'm getting an old-school, badass cowboy from the wild west vibe with those two branding those weapons over everybody else. Am I the only one?
And I'm guessing that the female cop in the dress was obviously montoya
They're like Roger Murtagh from Lethal Weapon: They've been on the force long before Glocks were introduced so they stick with their Four-inch Smiths.

Thats a lot of guns cocking alright....talk about the perfect set up
I absolutely love this old school style of art takes me back to my days of Elementary School
Once Batman reveals himself all of Croc's actions up to that point make sense - He was the one who started the contest to get Joker to confess, then he made sure Croc's story was the shortest to hurry it along, and when he tells Poison Ivy to scram he makes sure she'll join in so they can catch her too.
F@#$ ING AWESOME! How'd he manage to make himself look AND sound like Croc?

This episode is a freaking masterpiece.
I love how it wasn’t Batman’s voice that have him away, but rather his silhouette when the lamp swung over him.
I feel like one aspect unique the the original series that I can't recall any sequel series using was his absurd disguise ability. There's this, there's a rich dude he impersonated in Cape and Cowl, and even Robin does it once masquerading perfectly as Batman to keep Bruce clean.
