hey brother, maybe you can help, I have a bmw E30 but I have swapped the engine to a Nissan SR20 DET my speedo, fuel and temp gauges work but not my tachometer I need to feed a signal to the tachometer do you know from where I can get my signal connection? Is it from the coil signal wire or the injector pulse wire? Ecu wire? I have no idea how to get a signal.. if you have a suggestion Please advise 🙏
Not entirely sure but I would imagine you need to connect the tach wire to the necessary wire on your engine/ecu harness. Here's the link for the m20b27 to m20b25 swap which may help point you in the right direction strictlyeta.net/technical/328i/#installandwiring
Hey! thank you so much for the help! Got it fixed! Found the Ecu from the new engine had a tachometer cable but the signal was different so converted it to mach the E30 dash and now we have rpm gauge working 💪 thanks again for the reply brother 🙏
Fix the bumper for the first job in the new garage
Good idea, I want to get a moving blanket or something first so I can set them down without adding any more scratches or marks.
In typical R3V fashion, repairs are done in a parking lot lol
Hah one more parking lot video to go and then anything after that will be out of the new garage!
Proper thing, I heard it's a prereq for CotM
@@Northern_ I need that meme with the guy in the corner at a party, "they don't even know I was r3v May 2021 car of the month"
Have you considered swapping the 2.7L’s head onto the 2.5L? A neighbor has this configured with strong results!
I’ve only heard of it the other way. A 2.5L head on a 2.7L block. And even that, would be less HP than a stock 2.5L.
