Normally you can find the 6mm at a lower price point, compared to the 5mm and especially most if not all the 4mm. I haven’t used anything but 5mm in years. They’re just a can do in almost any situation.

I agree, 5mm is a perfect all-around - it's what I am using this year too!

A larger arrow helps displace more animal matter as well. I've had wounds not close up as fast with std vs micro. Definitely all in the build and preference. Good vid.

I like the 5 mm better but mostly for less wind drift on longer shots.I still have plenty of easton 6.5 mm that I still use.The only con imo with the smaller diameter is the price is more than the 6.5 mm arrows.

If you could run an all steel component system, it would be a fantastic option. With the totally aluminum outsert sleeve and post, those will bend on hard impact

No difference if you build a properly spined arrow with enough front weight. Ive shot 500 to 670 std diameter arrows and they all went through.

There’s a difference in penetration for sure, less surface area will have less friction. It’s no more complicated than that, but you’re correct that properly spining your setup is by far the most important thing
