    Guitar parts, assembly tips, guitar uses, song assembly tips. Aaron, time to get really brave and talk about how to assemble a band. You have nicely covered most other aspects 😀

    I enjoyed this video, I must’ve watched virtually every baritone guitar demo on YT since I started planning for a Bari in 2019 😅 My Warmoth hybrid Strat Baritone finished in May this year is the cat’s whiskers! I ordered a flame maple on flame maple Tele neck with ‘59RB profile, extra lightweight swamp ash with a gold flake metallic finish. Gotoh hardware and Van Zandt True Vintage Tele bridge and Strat neck pickups. It’s fantastic and seriously twangtastic.

    Aaron, great job overall, and very impressive with the belting and smooth vibrato on the vocal performance

    "Hmmmm, what am I going to play today ? Let's build it !" It sounds great, Aaron. I always love the tone and mood a baritone adds to the band. Very haunting and bad ass. They come out with a huge statement and hit you right between the eyes. There's no mistaking it for a banjo.

    • @warmoth
      @warmoth  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      LOL....definitely distinguishable from a banjo!

    Nice job! Bold move to choose 7 but it was perfect for the lick.
    Nice job on drums too. Can’t tell if they’re real or programmed but that’s one if the great things about audio recording in 2024 isn’t it.
    Keep on Pickin’

      Thanks man. I used SD3 for the drums.

    The joke video about the Seymour Duncan 78's (or whichever year) aside, this is one of the best guitar channels on TH-cam. I'm pretty tired of the obvious synchronized marketing videos about the latest drive or delay pedal. To whatever extent, Warmoth is about bringing the creative process to the guitar itself as a piece of artwork, and it's nice to see the channel also explore the reciprocal side, the artistic process with the finished instrument.

    For anyone wondering why one would use a baritone neck instead of tuning low with thicker strings on a shorter scale length, the reason is that string harmocity reduces as scale length shortens, string diameter increases, and string tension reduces. This means that the maximum harmonic clarity for a given tuning would be achieved by using the longest scale length one can play and a careful balance of high string tension with minimal string diameter (Where are my RPG min maxers?), such as using stainless-steel strings.

    • @duffman18
      @duffman18 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some people have actually found that what sounds really really great, is if you get a baritone guitar but tune it up to standard guitar tuning. You'd need some very thin strings so that the strings don't snap on you if course.
      But yeah it just ends up sounding very different from a regular guitar in the same standard tuning.
      I guess it's like how Fender scale length guitars sound different from Gibson scale length guitars. Fenders just sound snappier.
      And a baritone tuned up to standard guitar tuning is just taking that concept even further.
      But yeah. My ideal band is to have a guitarist, a baritone guitarist, and a bass guitarist. Because few, if any, bands do that. So it'd sound very unique. Being able to play a chord on a regular guitar while another guy plays the same chord on a baritone, so it's a different chord shape, on a different part of the neck, it's a different inversion of the same chord, and so it gives a completely different kind of sound, it's wonderful. But it's hard to find people with baritone guitars. I guess I'll have to be that guy

      @Robstafarian 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@duffman18 You are correct that scale length is most of the difference.

    I've had a number of baritone guitars for one purpose. I tune them down a full octave from E to E and use them as a short scale bass.

      Those wood grades are used throughout carpentry; you probably can find the information you need by broadening your search to woodworking generally rather than guitars specifically.

    I freakin love these warmoth videos. I'm about to purchase my 3rd Warmoth neck. The favorite beck that I own has a 81 to 94 neck profile in a C shape. Warmoth offers the Wolfgang neck profile which is similar but it's asymmetrical. Is that something that is easy to get used to after a while?

    Toggle on the P-bass? You don't see that often!

    • @warmoth
      @warmoth  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good eye! That's a rare Fender "Hot Rod" P Bass. They only made them for about 3 years around Y2k. It originally came with a blender pot in that spot, but I hated it and switched it to a toggle.

    • @schmoemi3386
      @schmoemi3386 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say you don't see toggles on basses often, do you? A J-bass doesn't have one either. Usually. 🤨
