The older I get the more convinced I am that the telecaster is the greatest body shape going. It looks great no matter what configuration you go with. Hope everyone at warmoth has a great Christmas. 🤘
When I wanted to put my Tele together I thought for a long time about all these different variations but in the end I just wanted it lightweight and with body contours like a Strat as the traditional hard edges I find super annoying. In the end I kept an eye on the inventory until a super lightweight Swamp Ash OG Tele body appeared and I didn't have to wait too long to get the contours cut. I spent the next couple of months staining and finishing and assembling but it was a really satisfying project and the finished instrument is now my main number ONE. Proving yet again that Leo got it right the very first time.
I purchased a Warmoth traditional '72 Thinline body, used two original '72 issue WR HB's for a Tele partscaster build. All routs were diminsionally perfect and correctly located. The ash body was fine sanded and flawless, needing very minor grain fill & sanding for the natural, clear nitro finish. Very happy with the body and excellent quality.
My hollow carved top tele in black kori a is my favorite guitar. Such a practical and beautiful body shape and it comes in solid, chambered and hollow. Also like that you can get one, two or zero f holes on the hollow body.
Excellent work!👌 Best place for a music equipment nerd to geek-out on what's available, and what the different options are at Warmoth. You're good at what you do and keep these videos coming!
On a side note, for me, the Tele body with all three carves including the heel cut are probably the most comfortable body style to play if you’re sitting. It just fits in your lap real nice and doesn’t want to fly outta there when you let go of the neck. I love them all though.
Got two Tele replacement bodies, one in alder, the other in black limba, and a alder Tele Hybrid body. Gotta say they're all amazing but the Hybrid T. is fantastic. The way it fits your body is just another story.
Very awesome video! As someone who started on Teles and loves the variations of Telecaster style guitars... if you are a purist, just stick to the Tele you have. Otherwise don't yuck our yum!😎👍✨
My favorite guitar it's a japanese 7/8 T-Style guitar... a great Telecaster body with the playability of a Les Paul. I've always wanted to make another one with tremolo and warmoth parts.
I am currently building a Warmoth Les Paul flattop with P90 routes. You need to order the rectangular body and form the LP body shape yourself using a band saw.
Good rundown. I might make small suggestion. On the website make the first photograph of each body without the pickguard. This way shopper can quickly see the route and if it will work for their build idea? Shoppers are fickle and have a short attention span and want to quickly visualize if the body will work? Somewhat like a house with all of the owners furniture in sort of impedes the buyers ability to visualize. Often times an empty house is easier for the WIFE to imagine her furnishing or what she wants to do with the new digs!
I think people should break away from the classics/ standard/ one more of a million clones we've all seen before and create something different or something that is uniquely their own. And it's great that you offer people that ability.
Funny lulz. NEVER got a tele body from you guys. But I have gotten 3 stratocaster bodies from you guys haha. One of em is a strat tele hybrid body, does that count? haha. Also Fun fact. I own 16 strats now and the 3 strats that have warmoth bodies, are my favorites. Light weight chambering is THE BEST!
I noticed Olive Drab has now become a regular choice on the site. I have been waiting years to build my first warmoth. I think the color I want so my customer guitar feels unique has finally arrived. Would love to see a video where we get to see some bodies with different pickguards. 3ply black, white, black or off-white/cream seem best to me.
Not sure if you're aware, but you can order free pickguard swatches from Warmoth, so you can see which color looks best with your body before ordering a pickguard. Get 'em here: warmoth.com/pickguard-swatches
I think that for the 7/8 bodies strat or tele should come with the new all access ergo bolt on joint since it only works with a 7/8 Warmoth neck anyways
Great summary. Regarding the 7/8 body, maybe things have changed, but I built myself a 7/8 strat decades ago and used a custom Moses Graphite neck. The neck was a normal sized neck for a tele or strat BUT I had them do a 24.75" scale, which gave me a 24 frets on a neck that would normally only have 22 frets with a 25.5" scale. I never had any problems with intonation or fit. So, at lest in my experience, there was an option for necks besides your Warhead neck. Do you think my approach would work on your new 7/8 bodies today (i.e. standard sized Fender neck with 24 frets placed for a 24.75" scale)?
That's essentially what the 7/8 neck is: a 25.5" scale, 22 fret neck blank reworked for 24 frets and a 24.75" scale. If you haven't already seen this vid you should check it out. It explains everything: th-cam.com/video/WLLBquv-OD4/w-d-xo.html
What about the S/T and T/T double necks? 😅 I understand that it might not fit under the label of "vintage" but personally I'd love to have a chambered tele body with the vintage perimeter. Is that something you'd consider offering as an option in the future?
I thought about including the double necks, but decided the shadow realm was probably more than most people could bear already. LOL. No plans for any chambered vintage-style T's.
In a nutshell, the WRH was Fender's take on the humbucker pickup design, from a time when they were trying to create a product that could compete with the Les Paul. It's basically a humbucker that is a tiny bit bigger than standard, with a different mounting system.
You can get our regular Tele replacement body with two P90's, and if you call in we can even add an LP switch as an off-menu option. Madness unlocked! ;)
I need to schedule several therapy sessions after seeing those last three bodies. It was quite disturbing! I'll probably have terrible nightmares and will need strong psychotropic drugs to cope with reality! I SHOULD HAVE TURNED THE VIDEO OFF! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!! By the way, does the '72 thin line come in a bubblegum pink?
I WARNED YOU! ;) And yes, all are available in Shell Pink.....even those from the shadow realm. Think of them like pink Ringwraiths. It makes them less scary.
You should do a video on what they have in common! You know....like they're all cut on a CNC machine, they're all overpriced and they're all overrated!
@warmoth yes I am, thanks for asking! Just being honest, your bodies do nothing more then other companies build for a fourth of the price! They don't feel better, they don't look better, and they don't sound better! Save your money and put it toward more important stuff like pickups and Hardware! Have a nice day
Pink guitar? Dude. Get in touch with your masculine side. You're obviously not a Zoomer. No excuse. P.S. didn't watch this video, but left a 👎 anyway. Remember Billy Squire, and his pink tank top. It "Tanked" him.
Your enticing tongue and cheek delve into the 'darkness' made my day. Thanks! 😂
I recently ordered a tele body and neck from you…excited for their arrival. I’ve been a customer for about 2 years. Warmoth makes the best parts!
The older I get the more convinced I am that the telecaster is the greatest body shape going. It looks great no matter what configuration you go with.
Hope everyone at warmoth has a great Christmas. 🤘
Aaron is a huge part and reason of my love to Warmoth!
Great options.
Trembling with fear in the darkness of tele adjacentcy....
That's a lot of Telecasting! Thanks for the informative Broadcast.
I approve of this comment! :D
I see what you did there 😎
This is exactly the video I was wanting to see. Thanks, Aaron!

Excellent move to not go with binding
miss one of in my video " most beautiful tele " : Carved Top Tele® Bodies
Thanks, Aaron. I'm a bass player myself and I still look forward to your videos.
Thanks! I have a bunch of bass parts being built right now for some bass vids in the next few months!
@@warmoth Great! I get it, I understand why it's mostly gitter stuff. Looking forward to it.

Job well done, Aaron! Love the carved top Tele.
Hey Aaron, great breakdown on all these options man! There’s always something new to learn with those hidden curveballs 🤙

I own four complete body/neck guitars now, each off em are majestic! Just ❤em.
I put together matching 6 and 12 string hybrid teles and couldn't be happier with them.
Got two Tele replacement bodies, one in alder, the other in black limba, and a alder Tele Hybrid body. Gotta say they're all amazing but the Hybrid T. is fantastic. The way it fits your body is just another story.

Great info. Love Warmoth parts…I’ll be ordering a Mustang body and neck after Xmas…Thanks!
Ok, fine... I'll order another tele build. Don't twist my arm so hard! ;)
Thanks for the info, Aaron. Always great stuff!
There are still some great Tele necks left in our Black Friday sale! ;)
Great job, Aaron! These informational videos are appreciated. 👍
I've built tons of guitars with warmoth necks and bodies, they are the best online store.
I ordered Tele Hybrid Body in Daphne Blue with a Strat Neck, What a Versatile Beast😎🤘🎸
My favorite guitar it's a japanese 7/8 T-Style guitar... a great Telecaster body with the playability of a Les Paul. I've always wanted to make another one with tremolo and warmoth parts.
Aaron, I'm not a tele guy so I dared to watch till the end - only blasphemy here is no tele but the strat with tele setup!!! hehe ;-p
Well done. Informative and fun.
I’ve built five Warmoth guitars…always great workmanship.

Very cool video! Great stuff !!
A 2024 version of the Twilight zone. I am not sure if I will be sleeping tonight!
12!?? 😳Oh, Warmoth must really REALLY love the Telecaster... ☺
That's the current market for the last couple years at least. Any more than 4 types seems like a lot 😂
Goonies are good enough...
...and so is Aaron's best.

Man , that was a fun video !
Thanks for the explanation 👍 can a viper body have a Tele route? Cheers
Sorry Diamondbacks
It sure can! Play around in the custom builder and you can see all the options: warmoth.com/gb-db
Do you have a video on medium (32”) scale bass build ?
Not yet, but I have one planned for early 2025.

The hybrid bodies still look weird to me but I wouldn’t fault anyone for using one if it’s what they want. Pretty cool to have them as an option!
It's funny because I HATE the look of a Tele w/ Strat parts, but LOVE the look of a Strat w/ Tele parts. LOL.
@@warmothhaha yeah, gotta say, that orange one in the background kinda grew on me. Or at least I got used to it!
will the pickup route on the 72 deluxe fit 2 P90 pickups?

@ Thanks, Aaron. Doesn't sound like theirs any advantage to it over a normal humbucker.
Nope, not really. Just another option in the ocean of options. LOL.
very close to perfect....BUT, you forgot the traditional tele controll option on the thinline ( just like a regular OG telie but hollow )
The Shadow Realm!
😂
P90s? I would love a La Cabronita with p90s vol/tone and a les paul switch. madness, I know!
You can get our regular Tele replacement body with two P90's, and if you call in we can even add an LP switch as an off-menu option. Madness unlocked! ;)
Make a Paulonia tele body!?
No matter what the question is, the answer is Telecaster. That or the number 42.
