Tried a baritone in a store a few weeks back after 18 years of acoustic guitar playing and it was so much fun to explore this new sound. STILL thinking of buying that guitar!
Very cool sound, nice rendition of Elenore Rigby, beautiful playing, innovative, creative improvisation only Lemmo can bring. Thank you Jen for bringing it all to us.
I remember as a child, when I first started playing guitar 🎸 I would tune the guitar to the B major chord progression. Then after; my parents sent me Music school at a Grinnell Brothers Music Academy in the downtown area of Detroit MI; where there, I was taught how to tune the guitar correctly in E, A, D, G, B, and E. I was excited to learn how to do both.
This is the first time I can remember being tempted by a baritone guitar or anything built by Taylor. If anything, I have spent most of my adulthood resisting that brand
Now this I can figure it out and I really like it. I can see uses for this instrument that can't be duplicated by any other. Thank you. And that is a great arrangement of Eleanor Rigby.
Amazing talent. RF Cool Guitar RF Talented Lemmo Not that long ago, Michael was out sick and another talented guitarist was doing the Guitar of the Day - it was good. However, some regular listener / viewer opined (certainly his / her right to do so) - Something like this. "Thank God we have someone else performing - I'm so tired of Lemmo and his loop" - not verbatim, but close enough. This viewer is clearly a Dolt. Lemmo is an amazing talent - Not OPINION, simply a fact. With or without a looper (used by many world class talents) - this just being a ~ 6 min example of The Fact. I don't hear or see Said viewer on TH-cam playing such amazing music. End of Rant. Lemmo = National Treasure SDP
Michael is the reason many of us tune into guitar of the day. Pure Gold!
I just can't get over how well you do the baseline and melody of Eleanor Rigby at the same time. It's like magic.
The phone ringing at the very end of the song and video hopefully was Paul McCartney saying pack your things we are going on tour. 👍🙏🏼😎✌️

Eleanor Rigby sounds darker and more mean on that baritone. Excellent rendition and playing.

Eleonore Rigby was amazing 👏
It's arranging and playing like this that puts Michael squarely in the top rank of guitar players, I believe.

Pat Metheny has an excellent album of baritone acoustic covers - What’s It All About.
