happy 1 million, red vox. i first discovered this song in high school, during some of my most turbulent years. now that i'm about to graduate uni and am happier than ever, i listen to this song to remember the past and continue forth towards the future. thanks for sticking around and making some wonderful, touching tunes. the powers and influences of music cannot be underestimated.
This song is..kind of really sad actually. It really gives you that sense of overwhelming guilt when you put something off thats been eating at you and gnawing from the inside-something you really fucked up. And the more you push it away, the more you lie about it, the guilt only grows stronger and thicker like weeds in a garden. Thats what I like about Red Vox's songs; besides the Blood Bagel album, most songs have this very deep sense of the rather sketchy parts of grey morality, but it's never written in this pretensious, metaphorical prose-the way it's written is actually rather straightforward and gives it a sense of being genuine, gritty and down to earth. God, its great.
Yes! There are other members in the band that have contributed much to so many of our songs. Many people tend to focus on lead vocalist at first. To be fair, this song was very "Vinny" focused... written by, arranged by and played mostly by. There are other songs on the album that involve the other band members so much more.
That'll most likely be remedied when they do that one video interviewing (Is that the right word?) the band members It's kinda difficult to talk about people we know nothing about after all, but like I said, we'll know them soon enough

They also don't have much of an online presence and may not necessarily want the exposure. For anything else you may want to know, check the wiki. -Vinny redvox.wikia.com/wiki/Red_Vox
The more I listen to Red Vox as a whole, the more I realize how much it all fits into my own little world. Since Vinny writes most of the lyrics, it also illuminates a terrifying prospect: Vinny and I aren't so different after all

I’ve been watching him live a lot more often ever since Vinny took a step back from streaming, and it’s been a great time. I hope your personal journey with this issue is going well. Been a long time Vinny and Red Vox fan and today I found myself listening to this amazing song after a long time and taking a minute to look for the meaning in it. I ended up seeing myself in the song as you probably did 6 years ago. Something I’ve learned is that it helps to find solace in the idea that other people are actively struggling with these kinds of things or have struggled in the past. That things will get better. The idea that no matter where you go, no matter what problems you may face in life, there will always be people that support you and empathize with you. Best wishes stranger
Interesting to see this near 1M views after Vinny recently hit 1M subs. They deserve it: these are great songs. This is Vinesauce's AND Red Vox's legacy. 1M. It's no longer a fantasy.
Unironically I can imagine this as an intro for a Transformers show. Be about a group of unaligned Transformers wanting no part in the war, and are instead just trying to make a life on some planet while dealing with both the political dangers of the autobots and deceptions, and trying to stay undercover from the race of people on the planet.
This song is a great tale of anxiety and depression. It simply follows a person suffering from anxiety and anti-sociality, so decides to "Make his own friends", since he can't find the courage to make friends in the real world. Eventually, his anxieties and stresses catch up to him, and his problems collapse onto him, causing him to spiral down into an even greater state of depression. I see your message here, Vin. 10/10 lyrics, they're very well done.
Lyrics: Made myself a little garden To grow myself my only friends Got myself a brand new start, and Oh no, I screwed it up again Guess I'm stayin' up all night, In my mind, but out of sight I'm to blame for this, I hide away, until, the day is due I will pay for this, But find a way to push the blame on you I won't run from this Hide away until the day is through Can't believe my eyes this mornin' I found a plot of weeds instead Yesterday was so adoring My god's so easy to offend I would rather fly than fight, Close my eyes and hang on tight Not to blame for this, I hide away, until, the day is due I'll run from this, Find a way to push the blame on you, Be all right tomorrow, Hide away until the day is through It's so simple, It's as easy as it can be Make a monster, Lock it up, throw away the key In the backyard, Buried deep underneath the tree There's a monster Taking root in the property In the garden, Where the weeds are now growin' free In the garden, Where my friends plot to bury me There's a jungle, It's as far as the eye can see Overgrown now, It's no longer a fantasy, But it's too late, By the time that I've realized, I can't see now 'cause the dirt is up to my eyes.
I do like how the lyrics are still symbolic but aren't actual bullshit. You can easily tell what this song is about without the message getting lost at all

I'll have to see when the album comes out this spring, but considering I even liked Blood Bagel (ironically or not I'm really not sure, regardless of production it still sounds good) and with how you preformed in this song I think I'll love it regardless.
People are all talking about vinny, but I can't imagine this song without the drums, bass, and synths. They all come together to make a fantastic whole, one of my favorites on Another Light
A year ago I was only shortly here for Vinny. Now I’m permanently here for everyone involved in this band. I guess I’ve grown up a bit to acquire the needed appreciation
I can't tell if this is just ingenius lyrics that can feel relatable in a number of situations or you're just following me around to write a perfect reflection of how I feel lately. So I'll say its probably both.
I love how clear the lyrics are. Most songs I can’t tell what words they’re singing, but in this song (and almost all Red Vox songs) I can follow along perfectly.
I love songs like this, because they always leave so much to interpretation and the imagination. They have no clear meaning, and if they do they don't just blatantly tell you what it is, they let you come up with your own meaning. Honestly, I heard Red Vox for at least some very good months before discovering it was Vinny who was the lead singer. And honestly that's alright. I like how different this is from Vinesauce, shows more of him than just memes, don't get me wrong, I love all of vinesauce memes, but seeing this side of Vinny is also so relaxing. I guess that's why he's my favorite streamer, you can just relate to him as a person as much as you do as a entretainer.
I really connect with this song. I tend to be lazy with school; I flunked the seventh grade. Since then, I've become increasingly anxious and developed a crippling fear of failure. From that year onward, my school days could be summarized with the lyric "I hide away until the day is through". If I could survive the day without having a huge panic attack, I considered the day a success, never mind my school work. My fear of failure wasn't productive, I simply shut down and tried to ignore the feeling. Now that I'm regulating my anxiety with medicine, Ive been able to channel the self criticisms positively to do better in school. Anyways, this comment is a mess and I wrote more about myself here than most people would ever know about me but yeah, thank you for putting out this song, Red Vox. It's one of those songs that i can truly relate to.
I literally never knew the exact meaning to this song unlike others I just thought it was a good ol' song but now its amazingly relatable to a lot of people like me and you and some other people in the comments
ever since I heard this song, I got kinda obsessed with it. I know that "favorite song in the world" is a strong title, but that's kind of how I feel about this. Thank you Vinny, Mike and others for making this!
I can't help but feel a little disappointed by how nearly everyone keeps soiling the musical fun times by dragging Vinesauce memes into the mix. They're different things, so I think they should stay separate. But that's just my silly opinion.
Maintenance Droid H32 I know this comment is a little older, but I completely agree. Their music is just so wonderful and everyone is trying too hard to be funny.
How did I never listen to this earlier? It’s some of the best music I’ve heard period. That intro alone gives me unrivaled chills, and the lyrics cut DEEP. Bravo to everybody involved. And dang Vinny has good range.
Holy shit, I didn't think any songs could be as good as "From the Stars." This is so fucking good, I can barely wait for late spring. The vocals, instrumentation, and the cover art for this song - it's fuckin' good, mate.
The sheer emotion in this song didn't really click for me until now. I mean, I liked it, but now I'm about to cry because of this. I recently had a falling out with my friends due to some messed up shit that I did, and this is making me feel a flurry of emotions that's just all too real. Good on you, Red Vox. You know how to make beautiful songs that hit hard at just the right moments.
This is my favorite Red Vox song. Mostly because of how relatable the lyrics are but also because Vinny is such a goddamn good singer and the song itself is just... amazing.
Listened to this album a ton when my friend died a few years ago, didn’t really dwell on the meaning of the songs. I recently revived my old Spotify account recently and have been crying listening to some of these songs. I only ever really enjoyed them before because of who made them, but they have a lot to say.
Years later, and this song is still one of my favorites by this band, and maybe straight up *The* favorite. I keep thinking about it and listening to it quite often. I love it so much.
This dropped the very day some issues came up in my life, and the lyrics feel so relatable in that regard. 'tis like a gift from the heavens. Bless you guys, love you.
1 Million Views!!! Congratulations Vinny and the rest of the band, you guys make kick ass music. Never would have expected my favorite streamer to also form my favorite band. What an incredible legacy!
Genuinely bothered by the fact I've listened for near a decade on Spotify, and yet I've only just subscribed to the TH-cam channel. This is one of my favorite songs ever composed.
I found out about RedVox through Vinny's streams and i can say In The Garden is easily my absolute favorite song they've made. I hope they do more like this.
This song fills me with such a weird sense of apprehension. I had it on repeat for like four hours when it came out after someone posted a sample of it on Instagram, and while it was on repeat I drew and I couldn't really stop. There's so many different sounds in it and it's like some creepy, chartreuse hued buffet. It honestly gives me the same feeling I had when I was playing Ocarina of Time and I was in the Forest Temple. It's just a really surreal sounding song. I love it. Thank you for this, Vine man and Friends/Bandmates.
It's amazing how Vinny sounds like a lot of other artists/groups. Kurt Kobain for one in one of the What Could Go Wrong tracks. Here it sounds a little bit like the Killers. In another I've seen remarks about Pink Floyd. God it sounds so damned good though.
I'm a new fan, but this song specifically has been a wonder in my discovery of the band. Very Soundgarden meets Muse. I'm loving it. I'm excited to continue my journey in your music!
Waiting for, 'What Could go Wrong' was the longest time ever, and so was 'Blood Bagel'. This is gonna take longer I feel... I hate time so much, but I'm excited.
No joke, I'm really impressed with the progress this band has made in almost a full year. I really enjoyed What Could Go Wrong, but some of the songs felt a bit too similar or lacking in depth. The amount of development and different musical styles between Blood Bagel, a silly self-proclaimed joke EP, and the two songs from Another Light are joys to listen to. Nothing's gonna top Vinny's hit single "Scoot the Burbs," but the evolution of Red Vox is a treat nonetheless.
I'd lie to think that Vinny knows that he is surrounded by band mates who support him. Band mates that understand where he is coming from occasionally with his lyrics. But I'd also like to think that Vinny hears what we hear, and that it the kick ass sound coming from the entire rest of the band mates that make kick ass song like this. Congratulations to everyone evolved, this is a real piece of art, and I hope to hear more!

This song is a great tale of anxiety and depression. It simply follows a person suffering from anxiety and anti-sociality, so decides to "Make his own friends", since he can't find the courage to make friends in the real world. @@liamwithers4959 Nope. It's joel.
McSchwartz I did the exact same thing yesterday
I think it's appropriate that the most popular red vox is related to weeds and vines
Lyrics:
Made myself a little garden
To grow myself my only friends
Got myself a brand new start, and
Oh no, I screwed it up again
Guess I'm stayin' up all night,
In my mind, but out of sight
I'm to blame for this,
I hide away, until, the day is due
I will pay for this,
But find a way to push the blame on you
I won't run from this
Hide away until the day is through
Can't believe my eyes this mornin'
I found a plot of weeds instead
Yesterday was so adoring
My god's so easy to offend
I would rather fly than fight,
Close my eyes and hang on tight
Not to blame for this,
I hide away, until, the day is due
I'll run from this,
Find a way to push the blame on you,
Be all right tomorrow,
Hide away until the day is through
It's so simple,
It's as easy as it can be
Make a monster,
Lock it up, throw away the key
In the backyard,
Buried deep underneath the tree
There's a monster
Taking root in the property
In the garden,
Where the weeds are now growin' free
In the garden,
Where my friends plot to bury me
There's a jungle,
It's as far as the eye can see
Overgrown now,
It's no longer a fantasy,
But it's too late,
By the time that I've realized,
I can't see now
'cause the dirt is up to my eyes.
Error Message I think the last (?) Is "It's no longer Fantasy"
Wootfacepalm the line after "make a monster" sounds more like "lock it up, throw away the key" but maybe thats just me

500 views to go... Early congrats to you guys. Thanks for playing a part in my life with your music. ♡
ever since I heard this song, I got kinda obsessed with it. I know that "favorite song in the world" is a strong title, but that's kind of how I feel about this.
Thank you Vinny, Mike and others for making this!
ya did it, vox, one million views. congratulations dudes!
ONE MILLION VIEWS!!!! SO PROUD OF THESE GUYS!!!!!
I hope this song hits a million views.
To the band of red vox, thank you for existing.
5 years later. Still one of the biggest bangers
i used to listen to this song years ago and i had no idea its vinny even though i still regularly watched him. holy shit, i cant be the only one
This is beautiful and fresh asf
Your last two songs have seriously impressed me on a professional level.
Keep tearing it up
Thank you Gryff!
This song straight up makes me levitate my guy
i was so shocked when u streamed this at 3 am last night... I love the high notes so much
can you tell me what time he played it on the vod for his twitch
Training Wheels he played it on the redvox twitch channel, and unfortunately there's no vod archiving on there
Patty Cake I missed it :(
Congrats on 1 million views Vin!
Jenna Beasley
It'd be nice if people realized that Vinny is just more than a meme (or rather didn't correlate memes with him).
To be honest, I didn't even know Vinny did this...it just appeared in my reccommended one day. It's great though.
Wait, Vinesauce and Red Vox are connected? I always thought they had similar sounding voices... So, what are they, like, brothers or something?
Vinny is the lead singer of Red Vox
If this album has another physical release with a shirt and poster, I'm going to soil myself. Love your music.
MammothsOfMurder
*soil*, hahahaha... get it
How did I never listen to this earlier? It’s some of the best music I’ve heard period. That intro alone gives me unrivaled chills, and the lyrics cut DEEP.
Bravo to everybody involved. And dang Vinny has good range.
Holy shit, I didn't think any songs could be as good as "From the Stars." This is so fucking good, I can barely wait for late spring. The vocals, instrumentation, and the cover art for this song - it's fuckin' good, mate.
i'm so glad this amazing song finally reached a million views
just realised this song came out on my bday. awesome
yo holy fuck mike is underrated as hell
He is amazing on this track. Wait until you hear the whole album.
im excited to hear it! tbh this may be my most anticipated album of the year so far :)
Yeah, especially since Humanz turned out to be garbage.
I knew it wasn't gonna be the best when Hallelujah Money came out
There's some ok songs on it tho (Charger, Ascension, Let Me Out)
Congratulations for reaching one million views !
Wow almost 1 million views, congrats! :D
HAPPY 1 MILLION YIPPEEEEEEE
We can do this lads, just a couple more listens and Red Vox will have thier first million view song
This is my favorite Red Vox song. Mostly because of how relatable the lyrics are but also because Vinny is such a goddamn good singer and the song itself is just... amazing.
This is a great song. I have a hard time getting into new bands for some reason but I have a feeling Red Vox is gonna grow on me, no pun intended.
I love it so much.
first red vox song I found, (still p new to red vox) and now it’s probably my favourite if not one of my favourite songs EVER
Can't wait for all the comments to be purely about this music and nothing else.
Goddamnit
This is a masterpiece. Best Red Vox song of all time.
I found out about RedVox through Vinny's streams and i can say In The Garden is easily my absolute favorite song they've made. I hope they do more like this.
here from the webfishing game vod (though I've always been here since release). thanks melpert, I love another light so much
This song fills me with such a weird sense of apprehension.
One million vine gardens
Even without the context of the lyrics, this song still feels melancholy in a way, like it has a feel that makes me yearn for a simpler time
I can only imagine Vinny had a dream about Scoot chasing him with an axe and made this song because of it
I still enjoy listening to this one.
I'm a new fan, but this song specifically has been a wonder in my discovery of the band. Very Soundgarden meets Muse. I'm loving it. I'm excited to continue my journey in your music!
ate 2 raspberry jelly filled donuts while listening to this, thanks vinny
damn, it coming in late spring. well time to get hyped again right after all of the switch hype.
Waiting for, 'What Could go Wrong' was the longest time ever, and so was 'Blood Bagel'. This is gonna take longer I feel...
I hate time so much, but I'm excited.
This is so beautiful. I'm blessed to have been born at the same time Red Vox exists.
