6:30 NO! The outside of the chain doesn't need lubrication! It's the inside! The outside doesn't make contact with the sprocket! It will just fling it off when riding! Spray it on the inside! Best to do when you get home from riding when the chain is warm. With the goo, just wipe the sides of the chain off with a cloth so dust and other crap doesn't collect on the sides. Also, use a piece of cardboard behind the chain so you don't get grease on the tyre.

Re-check your chain tension after tightening the axle bolt. Some bikes will increase the distance between sprockets as the swing arm narrows.
