Great information as usual bro but I would recommend on console to use the unison preamp lol and change your sample rate to 48khz and Autotune should come after compression.
Any daw other than pro tools defaults to 44 lol don’t take it too seriously tho cuz you know my chain completely different on pro tools gang

Yeah like I always do reverb and delay in the daw and sometimes when I don’t want to print autotune I put it in the daw vs the console so I’ll only print the pre and compression

On the mic channel in the console, I see that you muted the channel and pulled the fader down also. Would the mute button not silence the track by itself? Or does it still give feedback in the headset? Or is it preference? I’m asking because I’ve seen it done with a few engineers.
You don’t want to hear the signal doubled that’s why I mute and pull the fader down to avoid any issues. The mute is good enough but it’s something I do for peace of mind

Bro I've a question it's maybe gonna sound a little stupid but anw, What is the différence between the "Console.exe" and the "UAD Console.exe ", Is it only the interface ? 'Cause im on Windows and I Typically use the Console.exe and not this one who looks a bit "futuristic" to me in terms of aesthetics but for the rest?
One is the newer one and other is old they updated it

It’s the key feature of the Apollo twin to record this way because they uad plugins run off the dsp chip in the interface.
autotune feels different monitoring through console than through daw
Bro I been trying to get mines up and running since I moved I can’t get a mic signal in pro tools but I get a led movement in the unit but pro tools not working

Make sure your record track set to input 1 or whichever input on interface u using. If that's good then check playback engine.
How would this translate to bouncing out the dry vocals?
There’s no dry vocals this way.
This is intended to recreate the studio workflow which means tracking through the plugins = a more consistent, polished vocal
When you record through gear the vocal isn’t dry anymore because it’ll have whatever EQ or compression on it so when it comes to mixing you have a way better quality of vocal to work with so mixing is easier and faster because the vocal is 80% done already

Nah, as long you don’t hit the compression too hard or over EQ etc you’d be fine. The engineer would most likely appreciate it cuz I like when ppl send me vocals that already sound good and consistent to work with. Cuz most ppl that send me vocals either are printed or come from studio gear

It’s just the principle of it all, it’s to show how ppl don’t really like or accept that ppl actually prefer to record this way vs keeping something completely dry. It’s like ppl want the similar sound etc that the pros have but don’t understand that the pros aren’t working with “dry” vocals because the vocals are recorded through gear or the uad console. Cuz a lot of ppl believe that the mixing is the end all be all when it’s not that

@@SKYJORDXN he was asking how to print in FL. Printing is simple. If you printing Dry or Wet as long as your recording or tracking out a wave form or frequency your printing. Wasn’t towards your video. Just towards homie question. I actually agree with the video. I’m not a big fan of the UAD series. Nor waves I rather just have the hardware. I understand some can’t afford the hardware and it’s cheaper to subscribe or purchase the digital emulators. I know you been doing this for while but I have also I got 20 years in so both me and you know it’s cool not necessarily needed but cool to have. I use all the DAWs such as yourself. And it’s a lot of stock I would rather and do use over my UAD and Waves plug-ins. So basically I’m wasting money 😂
