@xavierreid9995 yeah but it benefits anyone who doesn’t have an Apollo interface or wants to put any other plugins on and print through because uad console only does their plugins but this way allows any plugin to be used

when setting up the print/mic thru track should you make it a stereo aux or a mono aux track??
Mono unless you’re needing it to be stereo

I have a cheap volt interface. Is that considered a console..like do I still benefit from printing with this interface?
Nah it’s not a console but I also have a volt but it’s the 276 and had a compressor built in which is recording through the 76 comp. Which gives your vocals a fuller sound which benefits your vocals before you mix so you have a better quality vocal to work with

@pdtscottyb that would probably be the max but you’d want to try and hit the good green between -18 to -10 ish area but if you want to push -6 that’s fine but don’t go over and be sure that nothing is distorted

Do you know how rappers get they're vocals so clean I've seen some templates with a bunch of tracks and they're all going to one
They record through analog gear the way I did in the video and they are using expensive microphones and are in treated rooms and don’t over use plugins. I used to work in a professional studio in Atlanta and saw a lot first hand

No. Autotune goes first even with me working with thug . Gunna and others the tune always goes first

You can put the mic mod before if you prefer it. because Auto-Tune doesn’t effect anything besides your singing ability. Me personally i I’d put the mic mod 2nd then the neve and tube tech but that’s me. Are you printing tho ?

Not really , you’re not stuck with what you printed you’ll still have the same raw file with no FX
