I live in the US..I have to say every single one of your videos is amazing! Are you a pastry chef in real life cause if you’re not you should be..lol..
The thing I like about your recipes - it's that I usually have most of the ingredients already. Unlike some other channels, when I have to go out and buy obscure ingredients that I'll probably never need to use again. These look delicious. I've got a pack of sausages in the fridge and all of the other ingredients too - my family love sausage rolls. I love the way you make these. I've always rolled them up - but I prefer your way! Thank you x
54 pence! boggles my mind I've paid around $8 USD (£6.3) for a single sausage roll near me in Phoenix, Arizona. I will HAVE to try this recipe. Keep em coming, Love your layout and explanations.
Unfortunately, you do pay for convenience and so do we in new Zealand, sausage rolls are a traditional favorite around here but you pay through the nose for them. a lot of people are stunned how blasted easy sausage rolls and pies are too make once they get taught by someone who makes the recipes simple and that is the great gift of this channel. Baking really is simple but it takes a master of the craft to teach that lesson well. Happy baking and best wishes from southern New Zealand 👋🥰👍
My husband and I have just made some of these-we loved them! He had the idea of making the sausage filling go further by adding porridge oats, I suppose like a stuffing. We had one each for our dinner, with potatoes and vegetables, which made a really nice change for us. Thank you!
I'm 30 years old and cook often but never really baked because my kitchen is very small + I always assumed you need all sorts of electric mixing equipment, space and ingredients I never really have. I assumed making pastry was hard, and was reluctant to spend money on the premade stuff. Your videos have made me realise how easy it actually is and got me into baking regularly. I made these mostly so I would stop spending money at greggs for my breakfast haha. Not only have I saved a bit of money, but these sausage rolls are so delicious + keep me going all morning. Thank you.
Thanks a lot...baking is a lot more simple than many people think....glad to hear you are making the sausage rolls....hope you try some of the other recipes too.
Just fancying a baking session but wasn’t too sure what to make…… sausage rolls will be made along side a coconut loaf , macaroons and egg custard tarts, oh and maybe your delicious cheese and onion pie that’s become a staple in our house. Look forward to your recipes every week, keep em coming 😊 thanks
Mmmm they look lovely, I'm going to try this. I love your videos and can I just say you are the nicest, most polite TH-camr I've come across. Definitely a fan 😊
I do these vegetarian with lightly fried onions and sage. I love your neat pastry cutting, but I just do one sheet of pastry, two lines of mix, turn sides to middle, then chop 'em up. Cost is probably about the same. Giving you a like, you have real style, thanks.

Thanks for shared. I do remember my teacher taught us to bake sausage rolls during home economics class in Hong Kong when I was 13 years old. Now I am turning 49 soon! Love your videos! Thumb up! Thank you Sir!
Thank for the awesome recipes and in depth explanations. All your recipes and budget friendly. In New Zealand for one of your sausage rolls it would cost $5 or more
Made these tonight for tea, hot and fresh straight out of the oven. Easy peasy, and something different for a change. I used the Cumberland sausage too as all the seasonings are already there, served with homemade oven potato wedges and green beans out of the garden! Thank you
Love your recipes, Mate. I learned from my Ma a different way - you made a very long sausage and long rectangular short crust or puff pastry case; spread mustard on the pastry; put the long rolled sausage meat on top of the pastry; rolled it up with the seam on the top; joined it with egg wash; crimped it; chop into lengths you like; used scissors to allow venting; egg wash; and bake. Six of one and half a dozen of the other - either way you get a cracking sossa. Maybe a regional thing? We are from the East Midlands.
I really miss the great UK sausages since I moved away from there. So many great varieties. Here in Germany there just isn't the same choice, so will have to make my own from minced meat. Looks delicious. Keep them coming.
@@BakingOnABudget So, I looked for a recipe and found this: The sausage was originally introduced with the influx of German slate miners to the area in the 16th Century. However soon the original recipe was changed to use more locally available herbs and spices, especially: White pepper • Black pepper • Thyme • Sage • Nutmeg • Mace • Cayenne Recipes have been passed down through the generations and reflect the influx of exotic spices to the port of Whitehaven in the 18th Century when the town prospered as the third largest port in the UK from trade between the Americas and Africa. I should see a lower cost in my groceries. I take those casings off. not good for the tummy.
