Great vid guys, love the Drone shots, vikki wont let me have a Drone, apparently guns, ham radios (I have slimed them down a lot) a motorcycle is enough hobbies for me, I disagree but im not arguing lol. I like Tshirt Catherine was wearing at the end by the way.🤘
Good Morning. Just came across your channel. We have exactly the same boat, 2 cabin version, same year with in mast furling. We love all the TH-cam clips where things go wrong 😁, but mainly how we can learn from skillfull people finding a solution. Thanks for that. Could you make a clip about your black watertank? How does it drain when you sail, is there a direct drain with a throughhull from your toilet, or all waste goes straight in the blackwatertank and from there outside of your boat? Cheers
Many thanks for your comments. They are great boats and we do love ours even then stuff goes wrong! I can make a clip of this. They do seem to be setup slightly different but if your holding tank is in the aft locker on the toilet wall I would image it’s setup like ours. Everything goes to the tank and then under that tank, lift the locker board is a seacock to let everything out. We also have a deck pump out fitting on that same side. Take a look at episode 15 as we replaced that seacock due to corrosion. th-cam.com/video/bo17GYmdFGE/w-d-xo.html let me know if you need any further info
I would like to know how much of the time you motored ? You say " a couple of hours" out of the Solent, and then later, you end up motoring into Alderney. Did you pinch the wind for too long, or did you take a guess on the tides ?
Hi, I’ve just looked in the log at this. I’m not sure in this video I covered leaving the silent and I can check as I’ve got a really slow connection. If it’s just the trip across then the engine was on for 3hrs 50 mins although I have a note to say motor sailed for about 2 of these that’s likely to be across the shipping lanes when we tried to improve the angle. It was the best day to go looking back but we had to go that day otherwise we wouldn’t so that mean making some choices and running the engine. If it includes the Solent trip then add another 2h30m as the trip out to the needles that day was on the nose the whole way. Hope that helps
Hello, they were just from Amazon amzn.eu/d/5AELlCg Have to say, we didn’t think they would last but they are super comfy and you can sit anywhere on the boat.
This is a great Family cruising blog looking forward to a great 2023.
Many thanks for your comments- glad to have you with us.

Thank you. I need to use the drone a bit more. Catherine has great taste in music 🎵 ⛵️

@@BoatingwiththeBaileys thanks, setup is similar as yours but no deck pump fitting. seacock bull valve is corroded also. Will replace, cheers.
Yeah, sounds like a plan
