That was the best weekend on the Solent I've had in ages! Vixen (Astus 22.5) was anchored in the next bay toward Cowes and close to the beach. The water was lovely and the children, wife and I had a fabulous time. We will definately do this again when it warms up.
Hi Jeff! The screecher is a light wind reaching sail. There are different names for it but all for the same thing which can get confusing sometimes. Thanks for watching!
@@AlexGoesSailing My name is Jeff is from the movie 22 Jump Street and when he said my name is Joe, it totally reminded me of the movie. You calling me Jeff made me laugh! Keep up the excellent work.
That's like a trip down memory lane for me. I used to be berthed in Mercury and the first pub I took my then girlfriend to was the Folly. Unfortunately I didn't leave her there though 😊

My name is jeff... Never heard of a screeched sail. Looks like a 120% or something like that, like a genoa. Lmfao with that jump. Love it!

Nice! Bring the screecher‘s furling line to a block in the cockpit!
That’s the plan very soon! I have the right length on the line that’s for sure!
We berth our cat at Mercury. Great Marina with excellent staff. Looks like Mingulay goes very well. Looking forward to seeing her in a blow!
Awesome! She is quite speedy! I will be in a blow in a few episodes time.
We missed the view pleasure of Alex diving head first into the water hahaha
😂 unfortunately so!
These videos are getting me excited for this summers sailing ⛵️
Same here 😂😁
Love the new boat. Osbourne Bay is crazy busy in the summer months but great for a swimming.
Yeah it does get hectic! Thanks for watching!

Oh wow. It’s a nice marina and the folly is wonderful!
@@AlexGoesSailing both are friendly places and close to home for me, but I prefer sandy beaches, so tend to go further west these days
@@fat_tommo_goes_boating sandy beaches are the best!
Boat looks good.
Cheers!
Thanks Alex great to things under sail with speed. Did you scare Dan away from Saling ??
Thanks Jeff! Dan will be back for the race!
Great he added a bit of humor to your great stories and maybe a bit more rocking for you 👍👍@@AlexGoesSailing
