Yeah it’s honestly the only thing I don’t like about him sometimes. You are a pro and you have to talk during someone’s putt so they don’t beat you?? 😂
@@ulrichroddecke6042Somehow every other disc golf vlog and practice round is able to pause for a second while someone else throws. Was it really necessary to add "gotta pull out the tricks" in the middle of his putt? Such riveting commentary!
Simon, listen, that was a great round of golf. We never know what wonders our next round holds! You and Zack had great chemistry and really made watching you guys very enjoyable, amazing shots, Zach's putting was ridiculous. You were talking about getting overheated when it's not that hot out. LOL, I wonder why? I hope you guys make another video ! Loved it 🤘
I remember leaving a comment on the vlog when Simon played NEDGC in Southwick a year or two ago, to consider playing at Westy Acres, my favorite local course. And it looks like you took my advice! There is nothing like watching one of the best players in the world play that course that you’ve played so many times, you can close your eyes and play it in your head. Not only to feel your jaw drop when Simon just crushes a perfect drive, knowing how meager your own efforts are by comparison but also to watch him hit the same tree you have. 😂 Thank you Simon, you made a long-held dream come true.
When I saw your video come through with the title "... golf through power-lines", I thought to myself: "Wow. Sounds similar to Westy Acres." And it IS Westy! Love this course - I'm a local and we come here alot. Westy Acres is highly recommended!
My god, mvp hit absolute gold signing Simon. What an incredible commercial, you can't get better. I'd bet mvp made half their Simon contract back with this alone.
Beauty of disc golf is you can use some space on what may otherwise be considered not ideal for outdoor activities-like giant powerlines-and use it in a pretty cool way.
Ok. Hot take: Simon is the GOAT. Not only are his skills top notch but.. his personality, his humbleness, and his ability to give us the BEST disc golf content is something we can cherish forever. Oxford comma included
@@southtoe3607 sorry but I can't get on board with that statement. One reason being it's unfair to tie in his earnings. He was Simon before cashing with MVP. He really hasn't changed. Lost in the sauce.. this dude is the most real human we'd likely ever meet. Watch anything. Watch beyond disc golf. If that doesn't show his true self then I'm not sure what's more needed. Weed. Or therapy.
I’m all for the inclusion of natural features too 😊 at the Redwood Curtain here in California, hole 2’s teepad is actually up on top of a GIANT redwood stump, it’s so cool
The Trail looks like such an amazing disc. I'm sad I missed the opportunity to grab a prototype one on MVP when they dropped them. Conrad looks to have a winner with that one.
Amazing course, If you are ever in the Northern Illinois Area, there is disc golf 'complex' has 3 courses. It is popular among the area, Anna Page South is the hardest and most wooded of them all. Would suggest if you are able to, as well as the blues for both Anna Page West and Anna Page East.
I feel your pain on aces, haha i have been playing for about 10 months. I haven't got an ace yet, a few throw ins from 180 ft. One was about 200. Today, i had 3 shots on different holes that hit cage but still no ace lol
Simon, you should get mvp to do their own mystery box of sorts. I know once in a while they have something, but they should offer different boxes . I would rather buy something like that from mvp then discmania.
Man, I would love to set you up with my buddy to play a round at his local course. On Chappaquiddick, off of Martha's vineyard. First hole in the U.S. with salt and fresh water on either side? Not sure but it's a sick course (very worthy of being on the vlog in my opinion). And you would love it. We also have a couple local breweries if that van help the decision 😅.
A friend of mine is building a full 18 hole on his property (near KC) with the dream of it being a high level course. It’s been in for about a year so it’s fully playable, just continuing to tweak and perfect. It has a triple mando like this course does with power lines. If you ever find yourself in the KC area he would love to have to check it out and you would be free to make a video of course.
Damn… I don’t feel entitled enough to act like I deserve a direct line to him or anything but it’s on private property so it’s maintained and decently wooded for a lot of the course so it wouldn’t be too bad on those notes. There is another course out here that’s a little out of the way called foxtail farms I believe that’s similar with a private owner and a very nice course so on… maybe some day. It would be cool to see the people that worked their tails off on those courses have a proper review and feedback on their work, ya know?
Simon, I have a real challenge for you. Play a Louisiana course during the summer. Parc Des Families near New Orleans would be perfect. The challenge is to finish a round without dying from the heat! Lol.

Westy is an amazing course with even better owners! The course is truly a labor of love for Disc Golf.
Simon doesn't get at least 1 ace in a round.

Absolutely love this course. Fortunate enough to have got to play it last month and can’t wait to get back there.

I'll have to agree. Came from Paul's videos and Simon is just so much more relatable.
