There's no single correct way to play disc golf. Yes, prizes are given to those who get the lowest score per round but it is equally solid way to play the game by attempting weird and astounding ways to score each hole, even if the total result suffers. Like with any other thing in life are no rules besides law, you do what you like. Simon clearly prefers to have fun and take risks with individual holes more than average player and I appreciate that. I do (or: did) that too although my old hand is much much weaker and now a bit crippled too.

I'm still trying to figure out how he got his disc on the green. Getting that distance on about a 90 degree turn is insane.
Just listening to other pros marvel at what Simon does really shows how special he is

In a space where there are a heck of a lot of compilation videos, I had never seen most of these. Great video.
If you took Peak Climo (assume the course matched what he had for his time), Peak Paul, Peak Ricky and Peak Simon and gave every player 4 rounds then totaled the sum of best into 1 round, Simon would win. He has eagles nobody else has heard or thought about.
Seems like a great format for encouraging creativity. And fun.

@@romanpfarrhofer Well, if that’s the case then it’s not that uncommon for that to happen vs mid tourney round which seemed like the point considering they change layouts mid tournament (obs, Mandos) not infrequently.
@@dylanburch2719 IIRC it's actually the one where he was on Jomez and and Jerm said they needed to add a mando there.
Oddly enough Gannon took a creative line last week at the KC Wide Open and they got approval from the PDGA to add a mando after the first round.

I appreciate this video, but showing Heimburg hyzer-flipping his ultra stable halo destroyer (which probably goes 580ft) and having the caption "normal shot" is just not accurate. Ofc Simons line was more crazy it's just-- Heimburg is not "normal". At least not when dis golf is concerned lol.
Dynamic Discs (trilogy owner) also has the Judge, sheriff, Deputy, felon, culprit discs... they are all about this sort of political vibe.... that nationalist/political style.

Every time I watch disc golf, I think to myself what a ridiculous pastime it is. Then I think about how ridiculous every sport is when it comes right down to it.

What's the big deal about Simon selling a bunch of TDs a total line of BS about adding mandos for some inane reason? I might be getting something wrong here so, are you saying, those long lines of autograph seekers (Simon Lines) are interfering with play, and mandos are somehow the answer?

I wholeheartedly feel like if he doesn't already, he would love everything about Skikamaru from Naruto! Their personalities line up so well, especially with as he's now toning it back to preserve his good years before he retires and becomes a full time TH-camr who has a Steve Irwin level weird about him just because he loves what he do! But some check that Skikamaru thing....ASAP!!!

Okay honestly I don’t watch disc golf at all but would totally if they didn’t have an effin rule that is mandatory. Nothing in a sport should limit one’s creativity or unique ability that also makes it entertaining AR to watch … just another reason why this sport is going nowhere. That’s horrible management and a ruling body. Nothing worse than mandatory anything in this world. Reminds me of catholic school 🤢🤢🤢
