No joke, that made me a little bit sad. They weren't in it to win, they were there to show Dante he needed to be prepared. Technically in the end they sacrificed themselves to aid Dante to defeat Virgil, I was sad when they died.

If you repeat a joke too much it stops being funny, that's the difference

I think its better when demons are angry so they can be easier to kill when their blinded by rage.
Despite the demons knowing that they are the prey they still hunt and chase after him anyways because his existence is the betrayal of sparda the demons and devils can't stand Dante

暁Ichimatsu暁 let me know if he’s ever wished to kill his brother as he did with ALL enemies he’s encountered. He’s mocked him as a sibling NOT as an enemy. Dante has NEVER considered Vergil an enemy and do not bring up the DmC remake.

It's still one of the coolest little details to me that they synched the whole thing up so that the lyrics in the song started exactly when you regain control of Dante. The little details were what made these games

DMC 4 Dante was my favorite coz it's the only game Dante never really felt threatened. He seats on Belial's flaming tail as if he's on a beach and makes a Shakespear opera with Agnus, plus literally shit talking the Saviour who's the game's big bad. Man I just love this guy
DMC3 is still the funniest one imo, it's probably because Dante is just younger...
Also, still questioning why pistols are op in the cutscenes but hit like spudguns in the game.
Because they're just combo enablers gameplay-wise, while in cutscenes they're part of the finisher.
They also represent Dante's humanity, which is DMC's whole shtick about humanity being the catalyst to power
I mean canonically those guns (ebony and Ivory mainly) pack one hell of a punch (they basically are the only guns who can withstand Dante's daily use and abuse of them no problem)

I like how Griffon warns Dante, as well as you, the player, that if you had a small bit of trouble against V's Familiars, then Vergil will be even more of a nightmare.

@@galaxy_kitten95 Arguably, the outfit itself in DmC isn't bad, it's more the attitude of reboot Dante, the mismanagement of the publishers and PR, and the misinterpretation of what should've been a love letter to the old instead becoming what looked like a straight insult to the original (DmC's infamous white hair moment). That frames the color scheme and outfit so much worse than just "Punk but it's interpreted as emo now"
