no matter what people say, dont change your review style. you review legitimately better than the instruction manual. i just ordered this one from amazon, as ive been wearing the solar only jet black gulfman gshock for the last 5 years and felt like i deserved the upgrade. in my honest opinion, the gulfman is the best gshock that has ever been made.

Been collecting these 9000 - 9400 models. Can't find the 9100 (or 9110) or 9200 very easily, but this video is great and I really appreciate the review. I'm sad that the new 9500 is such a huge departure from the 9000 - 9400 models. Love the Rangeman 9400, but the 9000 and 9300 have their charms too.
I just got mine today. It's a used GW-9110 in good condition (but also comes with obviously non-original resin case and bands). It's around 15$ cheaper than getting a brand new G-9100 so I believe it's a good deal since GW-9110 is usually unavailable and quite rare here. The watch is wonderful and the style is great. But the non-original bands are so hard and start irritating my skin after wearing it just only a few hours. With 8" wrist, I usually feel uncomfortble wearing smaller G-Shock like DW-5600 or GA-2100, but I never feel irritated. Maybe getting the genuine bands could helps.
Just subbed I just recently picked this Master of G, GW-9110-JF up after having known about it for a long time and I gotta say it's currently my favorite G-Shock. Perfect size lightweight titanium back rust proof with solar multiband 6 Japanese version of the iconic Gulfman. The Original G-9100 Titanium Gulfman has always been one of my favorites along with the G-9300 Mudman and the Range man. This is just the Gulfman G- 9100 on steroids... I haven't searched yet, but I wonder if Greg has tried the Japanese version of the Mudman GW-9300-JF with the compass/Thermo and the addition of multiband 6 and Tough Solar? That's one you should own, if you don't already Greg!
Although there does seem to be a bit of rambling at times, there are always golden nuggets of information throughout. For instance some of the stopwatch, alarm, timer functions seem a bit overwhelming and is all I can do to set and keep up with the many base timekeeping functions. Thankfully Casio has managed to keep them fairly easy and consistent. I've been meaning to watch some of the other channel videos, but from what I've seen, appears we have some of the same interests in your collection. Thanks for taking the time to make an informative and educational video.
Something I learned in creative writing classes was that I, personally, can't seem to tell a "short story." I wonder if it would be better to make a lot of shorter videos but, so far, I seem to prefer to make one very comprehensive video about a given watch and leave it at that. The viewers are kind enough to sit through these "In-Depth" reviews. I suppose the thing that guides me is this: What if I didn't have this watch? What's everything I'd want to know about it before I bought it? And I suppose my attempt to talk about "everything" is a bit of a challenge (to me and to the viewer). But thanks for watching and commenting. I enjoy the interaction. People who comment on these wristwatch videos are much more kind than people who comment on solar panel videos!

I probably rambled myself as I was meaning to say that I enjoy learning from your videos & experience having quite a few of same watches and topic interest (solar/gps/atomic) in my collection. In fact I respect and admire you for taking the time to make the videos. I have been curious about solar (& wind) power, will have to see those videos. Also... What is Clep? And sounded like you lived So. America?
Greg, thoroughly enjoy your videos. Your detailed reviews are always very informative and helpful. This particular video was the deciding factor in me purchasing this GW-9110 here in 2023. Suggestion, since you do amazing macro shots, consider taking a can of compressed air then a lens wipe to remove dust and crystal smear off prior to recording
It seems like all of my G-Shocks will set the WT zone to UTC when I press those buttons together. I'm not sure if every other G-Shock does that too but, yes, you're right. It's a nice feature.

Another informative video. Do you know if pushing the two right buttons returns to UTC on ALL Casio WT G-shocks? Thats a handy thing.
It seems like all of my G-Shocks will set the WT zone to UTC when I press those buttons together. I'm not sure if every other G-Shock does that too but, yes, you're right. It's a nice feature.

It is a battery (more accurately a cell). Anyone who says it is a capacitor is incorrect. The Gulfman uses a CR2025.
Are you sure this batterij type is correct? I thought all Tough Solars used CTL1616...

For the 9100 yes but this is 9110 solor gulfman which takes a 1616 capacitor

Size it's small, like even fie ladies, I don't know the size but for a G-shock bits rather small

I tried that once but the smeared ear wax on the crystal looked really gross.
