Great job Tanner, and so happy to finally see this beast driving
Its definitely cool to drive something different, when I was in the market for my turbo subaru I didn't a boring wrx/STi or forester XT like everyone and their mothers drive, I went with a Baja Turbo 5MT. Rare to see a Baja in general but even more cool when you see a turbo manual one at that. My second choice would have been a manual outback XT because fast wagons are cool too.

@@Smeedia well we first thought accelerator pedal(sensor) that's gone out three times now. That didn't cure it like usual. So we obd'd it and throttle body popped up. So I changed that out. And this car is all electronic. I picked it up from the mech, in Oregon, drove it home running great for an hour. And on the freeway at 70 two little sputters, and then bam, limp mode. Not that it looks horrible on you or anything. Probably clean-shaven until it grows in and rinse and repeat. That's what we're all used to lol. It's not a big deal for me either way so you just keep doing you!
I really want to check this car out in person at the Big Northwest meet!! I hope you're able to get it dyno'd by then. Regardless, amazing fucking job. Extremely impressive dedication, creativity and innovation.
Some of that money can be saved by not doing the same mistakes a second time around. The first couple versions of the exhaust and intake manifold could all be money saved!
Great build! As the owner of three SVXi, all in different levels of racecar "build", I applaud your use of the EG33!! The folks at ARFab/Darton East are almost done with my built EG33 (very similar to your build, with the exception that mine will be running a full dry sump along with Darton sleeves that bump the displacement out to 3.5 L). I do have a question for you! Where did you get your solid lifters? Did you have to run non-stock valve stem lengths in order to use them? I have a funny feeling that the Delta Cams you're running are from work I did with Delta over 10 years ago to come up with more intake and exhaust cams with more lift and duration without having to change the stock valve springs. 😎
That car is absolutely unique and a work of art. So much work and effort resulting in a masterpiece. Hopefully tuning and some number soon. Still waiting on the oil-cooler plans/install btw 🤨 That said, the beardless look might not be the best idea 😵💫. Just my honest opinion 😉
You always think I could have bought this or that. Be it a diff car or house or whatever but once you get behind the wheel all that goes away. Excited to see if you can get a stand alone dccd working. The stash works
That is amazing! A super good deal considering current pricing on cars haha. For a future project, would you consider setting up a WRX into the real world rally eXperimental car it is based on? I would love to see one built to blast through the dirt and see what it Takes to build one to survive those conditions.
@@Smeedia Yeah and I feel bad for even recommending it now after the most recent video lol I have just always been curious as to what it would take to survive some basic outdoors fun and still be daily drivable.
And I thought $13k into a Volvo was a lot lol. That was all for 400hp. Granted accounted for things I did more then once. Sets of tires etc. But turbo $1k, low mileage motor $700, coilovers $1k, flywheel and clutch $1lk, injectors and water methanol kit $1k, poly mounts and bushings a chassis braces $500.. not a detailed list like your but yeah adds up fast. That car I did everything myself. I just got an built LS swapped rwd Volvo that I paid 10k with 200 mile delivery. But to do it myself and pay for the fab and tuning and all the parts in it would've cost more then double. You did a great job though and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it for years to come...

Shaved....lookin good.. LOL... Wow... such a nice tally... When is the next Dyno... Congrats man :)
Waiting to hear from Josh for when we go back 💪
I really want to check this car out in person at the Big Northwest meet!! I hope you're able to get it dyno'd by then. Regardless, amazing fucking job. Extremely impressive dedication, creativity and innovation.
It should be by then 🥳 if not I'll still be there with it on the break in tune 💪
Love this car Tanner, the idea of using a Subaru Power Plant, albeit from the 90s was pure evil genius.
Had to keep the purity somehow 🤌
Awesome!!! Mustache makes you look like a cop… worth the $$$ cause it’s the coolest build out there!!!
Pulling people over 😅😅😅
@@Smeedia 😝🤙🌀
I think adam lz wants his mustache back
Gave it back, lol shaved it off right after this video 🤣
Love the stash man!! You look like a undercover narc loll
It's my side gig lol
Some of that money can be saved by not doing the same mistakes a second time around. The first couple versions of the exhaust and intake manifold could all be money saved!
Big facts! First time around is always the experimental one 😅
First rule of owning a Subaru, never add up how much you’ve spent 🤣
Do not do it 😅😅😅
Yooooo!!! The dad stache is primo!!
Lmao it is too large 🤣🤣🤣
@@Smeedia 😂😂 there is no such thing my guy. Dad stache ftw
I can shoot you over the full build sheet for thr heads if you'd like! we're using supertech valves/springs 😁
@@Smeedia That would be awesome! I'll send you my gmail address via DM
congrats its been awesome...as a multi sti owner I m loving what you've done..if you're broke I ll buy some razors and send them to you
Tried the stache, not for me 😅
That car is absolutely unique and a work of art. So much work and effort resulting in a masterpiece. Hopefully tuning and some number soon. Still waiting on the oil-cooler plans/install btw 🤨 That said, the beardless look might not be the best idea 😵💫. Just my honest opinion 😉
Figured out how I'm going to do it just need to get it done 😅🔥
You always think I could have bought this or that. Be it a diff car or house or whatever but once you get behind the wheel all that goes away. Excited to see if you can get a stand alone dccd working. The stash works
We will get it working 🥳
Once I start driving it I don't even think about the cost of it 💪
That is amazing! A super good deal considering current pricing on cars haha. For a future project, would you consider setting up a WRX into the real world rally eXperimental car it is based on? I would love to see one built to blast through the dirt and see what it Takes to build one to survive those conditions.
I wouldent mind building one, rally cars are some $$$$ to build though 😅
@@Smeedia Yeah and I feel bad for even recommending it now after the most recent video lol I have just always been curious as to what it would take to survive some basic outdoors fun and still be daily drivable.
Sounds expensive on paper but most definitely worth every penny. Also a big ol bow chicka wow wow on the 70s stache lol.
😉😉😉😉
Definitely keep the mustache looks clean af🙏
👨👨👨
I'm having same engine done.
3.38L svx twin turbo 1200hp in a lowerer 2001 Subaru legacy wagon
Im diggin the phub stache;)
😉😉😉
Its summer yo! Rock the 'stache!
😄🤘
🤭🤭🤭🤭
Love that you did this with an EG33. I can’t wait to see you terrorize some supercars!
Soon to come 🥳🥳🥳
And I thought $13k into a Volvo was a lot lol.
An LS Volvo would be so much fun 😅🔥
Enjoying it everyday and will co tongue to do so 🔥🥳
