You asked for comments so here ya go. As Easter comes around the corner I'm reminded that our Hope alone is in Jesus Christ. I love this season of Spring, new beginnings and the promise of life after this life. God is good. Scripture says we see who He is in His creation. Your travels, your sunrises cause me to see the glorious nature of God.
Patsy Jean Flaharty Thank you very much! 😊🙏 It's one of the things I love about traveling, is seeing God's hands in everything around us. It makes me cry most times when I see this incredible creation and makes me forget about the troubles of the world. As an empath, immersing myself in nature really helps me to stay grounded and keep being positive. It's so easy to get into a negative state and complain about things, but that's why I always look for the positive in everything and that silver lining. I know there's a lesson to be learned here. I wish more people thought this way too.
No matter the subject, I find that even if I am not open to having my mind changed, listening to another person's opinion helps me to understand where they are coming from. We do not always have to try and change a person's mind or be open to having our minds changed, to affirm another's beliefs or ideas. I think empathy is the thing we have lost, and we can gain that by hearing not just what others think but by asking questions and trying to know them and why they feel the way they do.
Best way to travel, if you ask me. Traveling somewhere and staying put for a while to enjoy and explore. It's great for your mental health as well. You get to relax and unwind, and not put so much pressure on yourself with figuring out planning, logistics, people, etc. I don't get people who are always on the go, zooming past places. There's no rush. It's a lifestyle, not a camping tour.
Have you heard about the nomad rule of three? Drive no more than 3 hours to get to the next spot. Get there before 3 pm. And stay at least 3 days. It has helped me lots with slowing down, using less gas and camping in better spots. I was an otr trucker and it has been challenging just slowing down. Love your videos and hope to meet up someday:)
One thing that I started doing lately when I see someone who is really angry or negative or being mean to someone else, is to send and imagine colored light around each of the people involved. The different colors relate to the chakra energy that each of the people need at that moment to feel more complete. Also, it's choosing to give something that will help, rather than judge and turn away in disdain or fear. Which I also feel, but just leaving it at that doesn't help the world become a better place. ❤ thx for asking that question.
The Mayor of Cloverdale is so true about supporting each other! I do what I can to help somebody who needs more help than I do. I'm in a powerchair and still enjoy helping others.
You do not feel right unless you are working. I know how that feels, I did that too. I retired and after I finished everything I could think of to do, I finally realized what I had been doing. I'm glad you are slowing down and learning how to go with the crowd a bit more. It will help you relax and smell the jasmine.
Wow, a Sunday video is a bonus! Neat town to visit. I go out for Mexican when I splurge. It’s my favorite! Glad you are slowing down a bit! Sweet Lily was ready for that walk. Hugs to you both! ❤️
Thanks for the walking tour of Cloverdale, I loved the look of the homes and the business you walked by. This area I would enjoy driving through. Surprised to see the 72 hr parking, that is a bonus for traveling to save some money! Thanks again.
I started my nomad journey 11 months ago. I thought I'd feel free-er living this way, but it's super stressful for me. I hate all the moving, the confinement in the RV - I'm miserable. I rented a house to get out of this trailer, and I am counting down the days. Then - selling the RV. Also, I have lost muscle mass and gained weight living this way; I think because of the confinement - I just don't move around as much and I don't eat as well, either. It's aged me, and I've noticed most nomads also seem to also put on quite a bit of weight living this way. Overall... it's just a very unhealthy lifestyle for me. I'm done!
Thank you for being honest. I’m going back and forth deciding my next step. Your comment is making me think about the downsides I hadn’t considered. Good luck to you!
Humans Are Okay 😊 I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out for you, but I'm glad you tried and didn't hold back. yes, I agree that I feel like it can age us a bit, but I think it's because we're out in the sun more. I know I am and I try to wear sunblock when I think about it. Good luck on your next story!
Thanks for being honest! 💚 Have noticed at times that comments are deleted for any type of hard questioning or challenge comments. ✨ Even when polite. Everyone has their own way - it is good that you tried it!!!!! 👍👍🌊🌊 Happiness for your next endeavor.💫
I have really slowed down this year because I retired from teaching. It is hard to believe that in June it will already be a year. I like this new change for you. Slowing down can be really good so that you can take in the world around you and not miss the blessings before you.
Beki Moore 😊 congrats on your retirement and also slowing down too! It feels good. Has it taken awhile for you to fully embrace the ability to slow down? I find mentally, it can be challenging.
Another really great video Amber. It’s nice that you are taking the time to slow thing down, too often we get caught up in the hurried lifestyle. It’s nice to stop and smell the roses. You are right we are all connected and a kind word means a lot. I love how you are featuring what is local. Some of our small businesses have really struggled and it’s nice to again be supporting them. Your tacos looked amazing. Yum! Thanks again for another really great video ❤️😎
That looks like a gorgeous town to visit. Putting it on my list 💕 Love what the lady said about the importance of thinking and the importance of acknowledging what is going on......
I’m getting a tiny Rick Steves’ vibe with the “off the beaten path” view, but you are so much more chill!! Keep taking us with you. 🙏🏻 Your travels are inspirational.
So glad you are able to slow down and find stability using your camping membership. I travel full-time in a van as well. I have found the resort membership to be well worth the money. Scheduling out 6 months ahead can provide such a relief to know where you are going especially during peak travel times. Loved your video tour of the town!
Amber, your gray hair is your symbol of wisdom, it looks beautiful and distinguished. The food looks great. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure. I still have to see how to get packages and mail on the road. Stay Beautiful and safe .
Hello from chicago. Love your coffee maker, need to find one for my camper. Being kind to others and respect one another. Just because we may have different views doesn't mean we still can't be friends. That's how we learn no matter what our background/culture. Love video
Its good to slow down for a bit Amber... Running and running can be fun, but it doesn't give you enough time to enjoy all the beautiful places that you go to!!!
Be kind, be empathetic, don’t judge, and ask before you react. Put yourself in another’s shoes. Give when you can. There’s so much that costs you nothing
Enjoying your story, especially when you film driving down the roads, it feels so calm and satisfying to see the land and no people. I read an article last night called "Displaced" by Thacher Schmid, in the "Sun Magazine" from N.C.,Us. It was an interview on his experiences of vehicle residency and how it is the fastest growing and largest community of nomadic lifestyle in the states. It is happening here in Canada too and I believe it is a need, a desire to go back to the land and live as simply as possible.
Oh I loved the little tour of Cloverdale area. What a cute little town. There is so much exploring I want to do. (I'm currently pt and recuperating from neck issue). Thank you for sharing.
It's actually a great idea for your channel to change to spending more time in one place..... Besides being healthier for you.... It promotes less spending on Gas or fuel..... While allowing you to do some local spending.... & enjoy meeting the Locals.... Sending Loves to Lilly & thanks for your video....
Thank you! You are near Healdsburg. It is just a little South - which years ago was a stick town and now it is a mini Carmel. 🌷 Happy exploring everywhere!🏞️
Great video, Amber, well done! Glad to hear you are slowing down and I hope that’s letting you enjoy more of the journey. I think that’s what RVing is all about. Great words from the mayor! We are all trying to find our way through these strange confusing times. Resisting things that divide us, especially from social media, is more important than ever right now. Thanks for being a relayer of the light that connects us all. Right now, my partner and I are simplifying by really getting rid of clutter! Really doing it this time so we can get back on the road! In 2014, we were nomads for 4 months a little south of Cloverdale. If you haven’t been to the Point Reyes area, go! It’s so beautiful there! Might be my favorite place in the whole world! The Olema Campground is close to Point Reyes Station, and we really enjoyed multiple stays there in 2014. Wishing you & Lily safe journey in your travels!
In my head I looked a lot cuter than what I actually looked like on camera. It's cool seeing Cloverdale from someone else's perspective. So nice meeting you that day!
I think it is important to educate ourselves not just from the talking heads but from a common sense world view And doing something to help someone if possible as we all need a little help at times. And not engaging in judging but focusing on commonalities. Love seeing the simple and serene day to day moments that are what makes life enjoyable. Frame of mind is everything.
Hi Amber, thank you so much for a really lovely vlog. I truly admire you and think you are so brave travelling alone with Lily (without sounding patronising). You look so calm and in control of everything and I wish you and Lilly all the happiness in the world! I just don’t understand why human beings cannot take a little more time and effort too be more kind too one another and be grateful and thankful of what this precious world has too offer us all. The chocolate looked sooooooooooo good Amber! Just love your calmness and watching the genuine love you have for Lilly and that she obviously has for you! Lots of love Shirra UK.xxx
Shirra Alexander Thank you very much! 😊🙏 I so agree with you. Kindness always wins so I wish people would adopt that philsophy more. We'd all be better for it. I love that girl for sure!
All the sculptures remind me of what used to be down near the water in Emeryville and on toward SF back in the 70’s, 80’s etc. she was so right, we are so much better together.
What an interesting town, thanks for sharing. I think just staying positive and moving forward is a way for everyone to heal and know it will get better. Stay Safe.
So proud of you for slowing down. I am at the Stephan Foster State Park in Georgia. Wish I could be here for several weeks. A very peaceful and beautiful place. Headed next for the Asheville, NC area. 😊
Yes their so much division around this world . We Need to come togather and be more understanding for each others need . Love one another and be helpful when we see a need we can help !!!
That’s a great photo of the lovely Lily. ❤️ Glad to hear you’re making a change to relieve your anxiety. It’s not for everyone, but I really like knitting to help me relax. There is something about the tactile experience and repetitive movement that becomes very meditative for me.
I just want to say your gray is beautiful. I let my hair grow out in March 2019. I kept it sort of short to get all the old color removed faster and then grew it out. I absolutely love my gray.
Doing things for and supporting others, always makes the giver feel better. If anyone is feeling low, just try it. It will lift you up when you lift others.
Hi from Australia again. I think the most important thing is staying in touch with family and friends. We are so privileged now to have face time and messaging so there is no excuse not to keep in touch. It’s sometimes just nice to chat online even if we can’t be together. ❤️❤️❤️
Look out for your neighbours, support small businesses. If you are able to lend assistance to people in need. Cloverdale looks like a charming town. Over Easter we are decluttering my bedroom. I have been putting it off for too long. I plan to sow some winter vegetables we are in Autumn prefect time to plant. We conserve water, Australia is always under water restrictions permanently. Our droughts are very long.
We do sculpture gardens and parks always. Even on the road to anywhere. It’s about the journey and these are very interesting. After a while, you begin to find them in unusual places. One in Kentucky has over 200! In the middle of nowhere. But it’s a fun activity and you start to see repeats of artists. Try to guess the name before reading the sign. I never come even close!
Hi there-loved your Cloverdale visit plus the artful sculptures and I love smaller quaint towns. I just came across your channel (subscribed too) 🤗 This makes me so eager to do some traveling/discovering new places. However, I don’t have a van but thinking how I can manifest some travels in there to see these beautiful places. Your channel inspires me-also fyi I live east of Seattle -had to chuckle when you said you lived on Capital hill. Thanks for your sharing and I will follow you. 🌷🌷
Amber this was a beautiful video, such a lovely city , I am happy to see that you are safe and healthy and looking very relaxed. When I traveled in a camper I loved spending extra time rather than rushing off to my next destination. Blessings to you and Lily 🙏🙏😊
Neat tour of the sculptures and the town! Reminds me of the quilt gardens in Elkhart, IN that I saw last year. Finding the gardens was a bit of a scavenger hunt and a great way to see the county. The gardens were beautiful.
Hi Amber I just wanted to thank you and Lilly for the hours of videos you post, I have learnt so much from you guys and now I am ready to lash out and start my own adventure, I have just purchased a suncamper Sherwood and I am ready to get out and onto the road, You have been with me from day 1 and I will continue watching your videos, Thanks again guys, Garry / Australia
You're in my old stomping ground. I grew up in St. Helena and we used to go up to Cloverdale all the time. It sure has grown. It's great it's not too hot because n summer it's on fire!
That’s a wonderful question! I think the best way we can be helpful to one another is to start by focusing on what we’re grateful for and allow that feeling to feel what’s up and then look for where we can do random acts of kindness. It could be as simple as giving someone a complement or a smile and be dropping what you’re doing and helping out. Like the song that the Beatles sang “What the World needs now is love sweet love, that’s the only thing that there’s just a little of❣️”
I graduated Sonoma state a long time ago. Northern California is beautiful. Enjoy. Also - I pop my own popcorn in my tiny camper. Coconut oil, popcorn kernels and salt. I like it because it is “homemade” “simple” and “tasty.” :-) Plus it is cheaper and more earth friendly than buying it bagged.
Life has become more complicated in many ways and that's why we seek more simp, icity. We can become overwhelmed with all that is going on. I think it is great that you will be slowing down. You must find your own rhythm and pace.
It is great to know that you are caring for yourself. You don't live for yourself, so I am confident that, once renewed, you will share night sights, sites, and experiences with your community. BTW, I loved the segment on El Milagro Mexican Restaurant. I've never had one of those blue corn tortilla items. It looked delicious. I had just prepared my supper; grilled salmon, and a plate of mini carrots, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, and fresh blueberries. I put a little Italian dressing on top. A tall glass of water on the side. Oops, I forgot to say what I have cut down on. I have wanted to purchase a new high-frequency ham radio. I had narrowed the search down to a couple of contenders. This past weekend I was with a group of hams, and one of them got me to think about "did I need a new radio (like is mine still in good condition), or did I want a new radio?". Honestly, my current rig is 100% perfect. So, I consider the excess metals that would need to be used, and how could I justify that when I consider caring for our planet, as well as spending that money on myself. I'm going to stick with the current radio, and consider a new case to carry it in when I go outdoors to operate.
I don’t know if it’s just my experience but I think van life perfectly shows how we can heal from this “global shake up”. I’m not in a position to leave my current home/job, not because of finances but because I’m not willing to walk away from the people I serve. That said I’ve taken a few solo trips. One was completely alone and one included visits with lots of loved ones in multiple states. I think van life allows for a lot of time for solo introspection, which we have all needed. But now we’ve move to the place where we build relationships and strengthen community. I guess that’s happening outside van life too but it’s easier to see in the microcosm on van life videos.
Amber, you mentioned in a previous video that you plan on going to British Columbia. While you are in Canada, please try to visit Lake Louise and Banff in Alberta. Not only will you see some of the most beautiful natural areas but you will also see moose, deer, elk, mountain goats and bears along the roadside.
Sandy Allen 😊 Oh I so love that area!!! I'm not sure I'll make it over there, but we'll see. I was there several years ago, but flew through it too fast because I had to be somewhere at a very specific time back in the U.S. when I came back from Alaska.
If you like oysters, there is a place in Point Reyes where you can park off a gravel road and gather oysters for free and bring them home with you in a small cooler! There are also trails all over right nearby overlooking the beach, doggo’s welcome 😊. Loved doing that when I was up that way!
Speak only positively, not negatively , which I relate that to speaking life over yourself and others vs speaking death. People are always listening to conversation when you aren’t even aware. Positive thoughts can true change our life! At least for me. Loved this video! I am all about fresh foods for many reasons. My favorite is “home cooked” and any sign that states fresh local fruits & vegetables! I will drive out of my way to shop for fresh fruits & vegetables! Yummy 😋
I am trying to truly live by the golden rule, including not judging anyone as I wouldn't want anyone to judge me. I also send love to those who seem to be struggling and are lashing out.
Loved your art tour in Cloverdale. Very interesting chat you had with the two women you met. The Russian River looks beautiful. Very enjoyable thank you for taking us along:)
Yes, words of wisdom for sure from those lovely ladies 🙂Love the gray Amber it's coming in beautifully girl...looks like you had it professionally done! Btw, I did it! I gave notice and last day in the rat race is next Friday, April 15th! So scared yet so excited...have your video "What if..." in my saved videos and watch it again and again whenever I need reminding. Chase on my friend! xoxo Michelle & Sugar
Michelle ~ Cella's Chariot 😊 omg...!!!! so amazing Michelle! I'm so thrilled for you and I'm so excited for all the feelings and emotions you're going through right now. It's ok to feel all of them! Just keep pushing foward, acknowledge the feelings with curiosity and keep moving. woo hoo! You did it!
When I was a kid we used to go to the Russian River with my mom and then get chocolate cherry nuts afterwards. Awesome memories❣️ That was in Sebastopol California though.😀
I don't blame you for staying in a place for several weeks especially the way gas and the economy has went up. Be Safe and careful revealing too close to where you are for safety reasons. There is a lot of crazy people in this world. You are right; we need to encourage each other and stick together.
Just be there for everyone. Everyone at one time or another needs to lean on another shoulder we all can’t do it alone all the time! Love ur vids! Happy Easter 🐰🐇🐣
Amber….glad you are taking more time to “smell the roses”…hopefully not more smoke😉. Enjoying your travels….your hair silvers are very pretty…take care!
Thank you for the art tour! What a cute town to spend some time in and get to know. Similar to Northern California, there is a lot of emphasis on supporting local agriculture here in VT, and I truly appreciate that. As for things we can do to try to connect with one another, I try to focus on compassion and empathy. Every single one of us has a challenging path, and I think we need to try to remember that more often. Also, I love Lilly's chocolate and drinking from ball jars too. Enjoy your new slower pace!
Dani McMahon You're so welcome and glad you enjoyed it. 😊🙏 I love that too about VT. It's like that in a lot of states as well where there are more farms. I love a good farmers market or the local produce stands off the side of the road.

Support one another is true, being divided is so damaging.
I’ve slowed down too because of gas prices which kind of helps me to stay focused. ❤️
Hi 👋 Deborah, how are you doing?
Amber your hair looks beautiful it’s really coming along nicely. Lily is still camera shy after all these years lol! She’s so darn cute.
sonia kolesar 😊 Oh thanks so much! She's always been camera shy. It cracks me up. As soon as she sees the camera she turns her head.
@PaPa Frampton I'm glad Lily's brain keeps you entertained. :)
It's always fun to chat up with locals, you can find out alot of neat information ❤😀 Thanks for sharing your adventures 👍🏻❤🌞🐾🤗

@@storychasing that’s funny! I was surprised to see one today! I clicked on it as soon as I saw it!
I agree a welcome surprise.
I love little markets too. Thank you for showing us. :)

Never heard them called Ball Jars. That’s a mason jar in Canada 🇨🇦
Ball jars are a brand of Mason jars
You have such a beautiful, great size RV. YOU are very fortunate. Enjoy your slow down.

Hello 👋 Carole, how are you doing?
I like the change, slow down so you can see more and make more friends. Thanks again
Hi Amber! Awesome that you're slowing down! It's snowing today in northern Wyoming!

Grays are looking on point. We loved the walking art tour & it reminded us of a city walking tour in Asheville.
Gas Prices....No Words.

Amber, your hair is a gorgeous color, it's growing out beautifully
Oh thank you!
In my head I looked a lot cuter than what I actually looked like on camera. It's cool seeing Cloverdale from someone else's perspective. So nice meeting you that day!
Also I would definitely recommend visiting Sonoma Lake. Great views
Jaslyn Ortiz 😊 omg girll....stop that talk! You're beautiful. I'm so glad I met you too and loved sharing that moment with all of you.
Show KINDNESS wherever you find yourself
We can support one another by being kind and offering a smile.
You do look more relaxed, and your hair is looking great..
Oh thank you!
Simplicity is beautiful! 😘❤️🙏🏼🌺
This was such a fun and relaxing video. That's a cute little town.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Miles To Go ahhh...yes I totally agree. 💕Thank you!
MICHELLE ahhh...yes I totally agree. 💕Thank you!
@@storychasing i love the new content. I really love seeing American towns that I wouldn't see normally. Great job Amber
Taking the time to explore places sounds like a great idea. Excited for you and can't wait to see the next video.
Thanks Amber for the tour of Cloverdale-you’re along the Russian river so there should be some great old vine wineries around there! Yum
Hello 👋 Diva, how are you doing?
Amber this was a beautiful video, such a lovely city , I am happy to see that you are safe and healthy and looking very relaxed. When I traveled in a camper I loved spending extra time rather than rushing off to my next destination.
Blessings to you and Lily 🙏🙏😊
Neat tour of the sculptures and the town! Reminds me of the quilt gardens in Elkhart, IN that I saw last year. Finding the gardens was a bit of a scavenger hunt and a great way to see the county. The gardens were beautiful.
Hi Amber
I just wanted to thank you and Lilly for the hours of videos you post, I have learnt so much from you guys and now I am ready to lash out and start my own adventure,
I have just purchased a suncamper Sherwood and I am ready to get out and onto the road,
You have been with me from day 1 and I will continue watching your videos,
Thanks again guys, Garry / Australia
You are so welcome! Good luck to you on your upcoming story Garry!
You're in my old stomping ground. I grew up in St. Helena and we used to go up to Cloverdale all the time. It sure has grown. It's great it's not too hot because n summer it's on fire!
I had to give up travel because of CVD and am trying to get back to it, watching your videos is helping motivate me.
Exploring RV Dude 😊 oh no! I hope you get back to it if you're really desiring that nomad life again.
Like the song that the Beatles sang “What the World needs now is love sweet love, that’s the only thing that there’s just a little of❣️”
LOVE simplicity! Let's your soul be free and at peace! 😊
Prayers, visualize the World that you want to live in.
If people could simply be kind to one other and be mindful of what they say and do, the world would be a better place.
Volunteering at HOWA for the BYOV, bring your own vehicle. What a sense of community!
I see the beautiful light within each person....Namasta
I graduated Sonoma state a long time ago. Northern California is beautiful. Enjoy. Also - I pop my own popcorn in my tiny camper. Coconut oil, popcorn kernels and salt. I like it because it is “homemade” “simple” and “tasty.” :-)
Plus it is cheaper and more earth friendly than buying it bagged.
Great video, love the relaxed feel🙏
Awesome, thank you!
Doing what is best for you. Giving yourself time to actually explore the areas.
Just keep pushing foward, acknowledge the feelings with curiosity and keep moving. woo hoo! You did it!
Congrats Michelle. Good luck to you and Sugar on your new adventures.
Enjoyed the sculptures so different. The area where our villa is ,is called Hacienda. 😂
Oh... these glasses are my favorites, I think.
When I was a kid we used to go to the Russian River with my mom and then get chocolate cherry nuts afterwards. Awesome memories❣️ That was in Sebastopol California though.😀
What a sweet dog!! You can just tell. My next dog should be like her.
I don't blame you for staying in a place for several weeks especially the way gas and the economy has went up. Be Safe and careful revealing too close to where you are for safety reasons. There is a lot of crazy people in this world. You are right; we need to encourage each other and stick together.
Way to go Amber! Hi from Lee and Sarah!
Hello Amber alway love you energy and happiness, blessings to you and lily🚐🚐❤️❤️
TheDionysius57 Thank you very much! 😊🙏
