Me too! I'm in Phoenix, so the rain looks heavenly to me! New to this youtube channel, so will have to check if you stayed near Buffalo at all. I was born in WNY but have never seen NYC! Someday!
☕️💕Your silver looks amazing - LOvE it! Pets for Lily girl - Libraries might be fun to visit on rainy days to help get out a little- They are my favorite! Safe travels and wishing you clearer skies!
So cool learning a bit more about Syracuse. As others have said, the hair transition takes about a year. Once my grey growth reached a few inches, my stylist gave me some light highlights to ease the transformation. I didn’t want a super short cut and the highlights got me through.
I saw awhile back in someone's channel that if you are looking for a skoolie, and you plan on traveling a lot, to look for an Activity bus, which is geared for long distance drives at highway speeds.... All the other buses are geared for stop and go, going slow thru neighborhoods.
Your silver will look fantastic when it grows out. It took me a couple of years and so glad I did it. Some get frustrated letting it grow out, but hang in there! Mother Nature is so unpredictable, one of the reasons I eliminated getting a van. Like gray hair, it's not for everyone. Can't wait to see what you get!
I love that you are growing your natural hair out. I have been doing mine since November 2019 and still have some old dyed on the ends. Hair just grows slow. The 1st 6 months was the hardest for me. I used hats and Loreal color spray to blend it until I was comfortable enough to fully embrace it!
Hi from florida! You are inspiring love what your doing ❤ I grew my grey out 2 years ago I'm 46 now. I started having greys at age 12 and had been dying my hair all that time...all of it😳 I embraced the "greyombra " and with young kids 5 and 7, I asked them how they felt and decided to teach my kids that natural is beautiful and i have lupus and the chemicals in hair color..wow! if I can take every woman pain of going thru any feeling anything negative about they way we look.....I'm going to try...first lots of younger people are coloring their grey and having a hard time spending lots money to get what we rock naturally. Silver is beautiful in every shade. The money you save and the FREEDOM of not slaving to it. Never smelling hair color again! Nevery buying it or appointments and Your HEALTH! Your going to feel so beautiful just hang in there. Empower your self if anyone doesn't like it they are jealous or they are scared to do it themselves. Silver is sexy yes even on women! Did I mention less maintenance. Tips: hats and I wore fat cloth headbands or put braids in. Mostly try not to care what others think mostly I recieved compliments (in my skunk stage) and you will be surprised the support strangers will give you. Hugs n love to all. You got this oh last fun tip is your clothes! Your color wheel changes like off whites and creams I wore as dark hair now feel washed me out with fair skin. So I lean on colors and black ❤ The way you look does not make or break your beauty it's your personality and you are beautiful be you! your already gorgeous ❤
If you ever come to Oregon, you are welcome to moochdock at my place -- I have a couple of acres so lots of room for Lily!!!! Still thinking of getting a trailer? We just sold ours and are now looking for a motorhome. We are just part-timers but looking forward to our next rig!
Just now watching this after seeing you were in upstate NY on the St. Lawrence river! SOO cool I now live in Auburn, NY, moved here 9 years ago from Rensselaer Falls 😊
I have your same van. Re the fan, I added the cover and it gets mixed reviews. With the cover less air circulates. I've considered removing it but it is an advantage to have it in the rain and wind. Re Command hooks, there are very few surfaces on this van where they Will stick regardless of how well you clean. I've given up on them. How about small teacup hooks under your cabinet? I'm in Ohio and it's been a bit wet, too. It's even raining in Quartzsite! But it will be beautiful once the sun comes out. Safe travels.
Hey Amber, The RV Blogger just did a tour of the Intech. He was at Leo's in Maryland. If you want to see inside one. Poor Eric and his rainy days. Seems like you brought him some sunshine for a while. The silver looks great. During my transition, I twisted my hair at the scalp and pulled the rest back into a clip to make more of my silver show. That way people could see that I was allowing that line of demarcation on purpose. I have found that since I've gone all natural silver I no longer need makeup. Now I just use a little eyebrow pencil to fill in the sparse areas and some light lip color. It's amazing how your skin tone will change when you go silver. Enjoy the journey. It took me 14 months to fully transition.
seabliss22 Thank you very much! 😊🙏 I'm interested to see how that changes, the skin tone. Thanks for sharing your grow out too. It's an interesting time.
I love hats too. I have a over the door rack with five medium hooks and five little hooks I have about 15 or so hats on it. It will hook on any door or lip. I liked the face routine, but I miss 10 minute Tuesday 😢. Little lily so cute. Thanks for keeping it real. Safe travels.
You look great Amber, once the grey is completely grown out it will look stunning. Hair always seem to take forever to grow out. I agree major changes like a lifestyle can take years, from just thinking to saving, planning. Life road bumps can delay you. Great seeing your boot camp student. I do have a question if anyone can answer I greatly appreciate it. With people who have a vehicle and caravan what tyre pressure monitors do you have? All I can find is one for a all in one RV
Hi Amber. Deb from Maine. I'm so glad your coming back this way. You are heading into the most beautiful countryside. In Southern Maine, we have had 9 inches of rain since July 2. Certainly helping with the drought and definitely making everything green. Drop me a line when you in my area. I have an ocean boardwalk to show you! PS. Mosquito's are a PIA right now!
OMG I am in Syracuse visiting from CA it has rained since I got here! So happy to hear the rain is your fault lol not mine! Hope you enjoy your stay. My granddaughter lives here with her family. It’s a beautiful city.
Your hair is going to look fabulous, it looks great now. It’s going to take a little while the more you get a cut the more gray/silver you will have. I really think you’re gonna love it Amber.
I’m older than you but decided to stop coloring my hair too. I cut my hair very short to get rid of gray and it has been a year and it’s grow a lot. You might try some hair and skin vitamins to see your hair will grow faster. Love your dog, so cute. Thanks for sharing.
Just an FYI using anything that uses double-sided tape of any kind inside the vehicle will only work for so long before it falls off. I have done everything I can think of to do short of screws. Outside of a good Epoxy you might find it very hard to get anything to stick for long.
Also i think you may be getting tired of the van and maybe feel the need for more room? Robin from Creativity RV ended up with a 5th wheel after being in her van so long.
Thank you so much Amber I really love going on these journeys with you setting on my back porch drink eat a cup of coffee and it is 9:20 in the morning here in Tennessee thank you sweetie
Amber if you still need a break my apartment will be available free of charge from 8/3-8-13. I’ll be on vacation out of country. The only catch is you have to water my plants 🌱😂🤷🏻♀️ Let Me Know. I’m in Spring Tx north of Houston!
Thank you so much Angela! At this point I don’t see myself being in Texas in August because well it’s just way too darn hot. But I appreciate the offer. Where are you going out of country? I hope you have fun.
I used to live in the village of Baldwinsville. Is the B'ville diner still there? Growing up, my parents would take the family to campgrounds in the finger lakes. So many wonderful memories. I hope you enjoyed your stay in that beautiful part of the world. I remember driving up to Plattsburgh on an August day. I called my dad to tell him how much I liked the area. He reminded me that that part of the world is beautiful in August. He invited me to return in January and let him know my impressions. :)
@David M - I love the Baldwinsville area. It still has that small town feel most of the time. YES, the B'ville Diner is still there and as popular as ever. Especially for the Friday, Saturday evening bar crowd.
Such beautiful landscape and scenery. Lilly is such a character 🤣.. puppy hugs to her. People hugs for you🤗. Thank you for taking me along. Bad weather is why I'm debating on a class c.. a little more room to move around in than a van.. decisions 🤔🤔
Great campground! Thought of you when I got a pop up. It was a dolly to move your trailer if you camp alone. If you buy a trailer, ask them about one. Takes away the stress of backing your trailer in an awkward site without a spotter.
You are the most honest and authentic youtuber I follow. Video Editing question: Have you heard of or used "Descript"? I've heard good things but they might just be paid promos lol. Looking for ways to streamline workflow.
LiveWorkLive Thank you very much! 😊🙏 I haven't used it no. I realize I still need to respond to your email. Thank you in advance. I might take you up on your offer because I will be in Woodstock at some point.
New subscriber here 😊 After watching several of your Florida and east coast videos I think your videos are amazing! ❤️My husband and I just started rving and I’m not sure I could figure out all the mechanical things you needed to do. Wanted to tell you we have 25 ft leisure travel van Unity with 2 fantastic fans and installed the “Dometic fantastic Ultabreeze vent covers” sold at camping world on both of them for the same reason you mentioned. Not all vent covers brands are designed the same. These will give you plenty of air and in high winds we don’t have to close the vents either for fear of vent breaking. (That happened our first time out prior to covers) Wishing you all the best and safe travels! Diane
As you know, I'm from the West Coast where we get 2 rainy months a year that make traveling miserable, (significantly less than Seattle, but still lots, lol). On those days I read a ton, and now that I have my Nelly which will allow me to stealth camp on the streets, I'm looking forward to visiting Museums and Libraries. I just keep reminding myself that the rain gives us the beauty of the rain forest, lol. I think the grey is going to be really sexy! Safe travels my friend ❤🚙🇨🇦
You visited Camp Rah-Cha-Cha! Lived there for many years! Loved it, but yeah, cloudy summers/sunny Winters w a lot of snow. I moved to Atlanta from there. Lol. But a TON of rain in the NE this spring summer, been crazy! Im now in the NY Catskills... If you'd like to boondock in my parking lot along the Delaware River for a bit, I'm in Narrowsburg. If you're still in Syracuse, try out Dinosaur BBQ... delish!
I'm impressed with your make up skills. You have beautiful skin. Thank you for showing us what Syracuse is like. :) Those organic face products look wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Adam and your food looked delish. Sure hope it was, I love hearing some of the history of the town. So cool. I live in NC. We have so much history in my city! Always welcome staying here! Plenty of parking for you and your little girl at my home. I have two poodles that are between 8-10 pounds. Will send you some info by mail. Hugs and safe travels! MommaFaye 🌺
Hey Amber... if you have the time you must go to Heuvelton, NY (Just south of Ogdensburg NY), they have a great General store there with a huge selection of their local handmade Amish products. We have driven to there a few times from the Ottawa valley (Ontario, Canada)
Hello Ms. Story, you put your makeup 💄 on like a professional. Well done 👍🏻 Have you tried Hydrolysate Collagen for your hair? It promotes hair growth, joint support, skin plumpness, and is good for digestion tract🌻 Also a reverse color will help with the color growth so you won’t have to wait. You are very pretty so you might want to avoid the skunk 🦨 look😉
Collagen is a great way to support your health. I put a scoop in my coffee every morning. My hair and nails grow super fast. As a former cosmetologist and one who allowed the grow out process for my silvers from a dark brunette, I highly suggest not lifting your color. It will only create more damage and breakage. Stick with the journey and add some collagen along with biotin.
@@seabliss22 seabliss, a small amount of damage to fine hair can add a much needed body. A reverse color can be done with foil or a highlight cap. All the hair is not effected. I am also a former hairstylist. 1500 hrs on this side of the lift comb☺️
Come to Michigan! I live here, and in our area, mid the lower, the weather has been nice. Start by going on the west coast, many state parks along the way. Beautiful little towns. My favorites are Holland, Luddington, beautiful city park on the water, Manistee has a beautiful downtown and on up to Traverse city. Hope you can spend time in michigan.
That state park looks like a great destination and within reasonable drive for me. Thanks for sharing that. It also looks like it’d be a great place to pull out the bike and Lily’s trailer. Hope to see you enjoying a bike ride in the next video. -)
Good Morning Amber! I’m on two years of growing mine out. I have a little more to go and I’m completely done growing it out. It’s going to look really pretty on you!
Nice weather we're having in Upstate New York! ☔😏 Love the growing of gray(S&P)-it's beautiful! Once you get something that really sticks🤭, then the display of hats will actually look very nice! "It's Bacon!"🥓 Small portions of Turkey Bacon for Lily, to be exact!🤗🥰🐕 Oh yeah, a Fantastic Fan cover would definitely work (for that weather) and I also like the small USB fans! ..Very nice scenic views with beautiful houses!🏡🏡🏠 Take care!!
Look at your hair in a mirror in the sunshine and you can see how your grey hair shines compared to the dyed hair. No one who grows out the grey ever regret it. I have two daughters in their forties who are loving the grey streaks appearing. Wish I had been braver at their age. I only took the plunge about 4-5 years ago and have got more complements for my hair than ever before. Believe me you will love it.
I hope you visited Letchworth State Park near Rochester- the Grand Canyon of the East, with beautiful water falls! They were a torrent of water during the recent rainfall.
The easy-peasy way to let your silver shine while growing out is to have heavy highlights put in your hair and use the purple rinse. (Hairdresser will know!) Use purple shampoo for silver hair afterwards.
I use the usb fan at the back awning style window & another at the sliding door window for all weather circulation / I'm still working on my build & haven't cut into my van yet / & I have a home / Lilly has the cutest expressions / sending Loves to Lilly
Alien tape. Get it on the as seen on tv products, I put 4th of July banners and plaques up on my backyard wall here in vegas and they are still up, even through all the high winds and rain we’ve been getting.
Loving the hair! 😍 Are you excited? When I let my grays grow out, after about a month I got so excited and loved the contrast against my skin. Hang in there! You won't regret it.
I know rain can be annoying especially when traveling, but send it my way. It’s hardly rained here in MN this summer and we are now in drought conditions and restricting water usage in the land of 10,000 lakes. My poor backyard is dried out and the grass is all brown. Fortunately it will green up again once we get rain. Again, send it my way!!!
I live I’m Florida so know humidity...you need to clean the surface with alcohol first. I’ve done this in both my travel trailer and now in my van and it works great. I’ve stuck many things and they have lasted.
When/if you decide to not live full time in your van can we NOT call it quitting van life? I’ve seen YT’rs who make videos about others QUITTING VAN LIFE. I don’t know why but I just hate that term. Van life may not be for everyone forever. Thank you for sharing your story, Amber. Lots of kisses and belly rubs to Lily. Stay safe.
Such beautiful scenery! The colors seem deeper that on the West coast, probably due to all the rain. Lily is so precious. I'm sure you agree. I love to watch her wake up and stretch after a nap. Such a cutie!
Hi Amber. I am interested in purchasing La Coess, but your link doesn't seem to be right. If I click the link, your name disappears. Are you no longer getting commission for this product? Please advise since I want to try it out.
Super looking but way too big. I’ve pulled a small travel trailer I would not consider something that big. Good luck but I think a class C Motorhome would be easier to manoeuvre.
You need to use alcohol to clean because the cleanser leaves residue and prevents your command strip to stick. I hung my hats in my van using those too.
When I get going in my Skooly, i’ll have a cart with a A 30 inch wide mattress and a 55 gallon barrel for freshwater one Undermount gray water tank maybe I’ll have solar hooked up and maybe a generator mounted I will have also propane on board so that I can cook and a cooler or ice chest to keep Food cool. No insulation no woodwork done except for maybe having a window AC installed. Outside of that you can’t get much more bare-bones than that but at least I can get out on the road ASAP and stop paying rent.I will be building it of course I’ll just be living in it while I’m building it.

Oh wow did not realize you were in Rochester New York I'm headed to Lockport New York Buffalo this weekend
Trish Kuhne Thank you very much! 😊🙏
I love upstate New York. We have family in Ogdensburg and Norwood. We love visiting that area. Happy travels!
Kim Lashombe 😊 It is beautiful here!
Good Morning Amber! I’m on two years of growing mine out. I have a little more to go and I’m completely done growing it out. It’s going to look really pretty on you!
Jennifer Deleon Thank you very much! 😊🙏 2 years ..wow. How long is your hair?
@@storychasing med length below my shoulders. I’m letting last little bit grow so next cut will take it all off.
I really enjoyed this video Amber. I found each segment so interesting. One thing to be said for rain and humidity…it’s good for the complexion🤗😂
What a beautiful spot. Looking forward to seeing more 🐶🚐♥️
hello! great vlog. i agree love the old buildings we got alot here in maine where i live
Many years ago when i was a flight attendant i was based in Syracuse! We lived in the Liverpool area.
Congratulations. On your Silver streaks. Fantastic. Look🧢👍👍👋👋
Karen Charny Thank you very much! 😊🙏
Enjoyed todays show good to see you out and about
Loving the hair! 😍 Are you excited? When I let my grays grow out, after about a month I got so excited and loved the contrast against my skin. Hang in there! You won't regret it.
Yes I am! I think I see in your profile pic how yours has grown out. It's really pretty on you!
Better to be stuck inside with rain then this heat wave that's going on hope all is good safe travels
Loving your gray hair. It will look lovely when it’s grown out.
Aww thanks so much.
I am glad that many oil products on your face works for you. I know for me personally I can barely put lotion on my face without breaking out
your grey is lookin good!
Rain makes things pretty lush and green but it can get tiresome after a while. Stay well and happy.
Yes it does!
Hi I am in Baldwinsville and have a camp in Redfield NY if you need a place.
Ur gray hair is awesome I'm 63 an just now getting gray hair see yah hugs always
Love Irish Pub food - Sheperd's Pie is the best! If you are ever in Washington DC check out The Dubliner near the Capitol!
I live I’m Florida so know humidity...you need to clean the surface with alcohol first. I’ve done this in both my travel trailer and now in my van and it works great. I’ve stuck many things and they have lasted.
Patti Sylvia 😊 Thanks for the tip!
You were only 2.5 hrs away from me in Ontario 🇨🇦!!!
That leprechaun door is so adorable!!
Beautiful camp site 👍
Is it kinda sad that I've been trucking so long that I know exactly where your at by the scenery.
They are not rest stops as they have no bathroom facilities. They are as the sign says a place to pull off the road to safely text.
Patricia Wood Thank you very much! 😊🙏
Very nice guy
Gray looks good.
Hi Amber. I am interested in purchasing La Coess, but your link doesn't seem to be right. If I click the link, your name disappears. Are you no longer getting commission for this product? Please advise since I want to try it out.
Wait! Just watched a little more of your video and if I'm not mistaken you ARE going to be a Silver Sister!!
Super looking but way too big. I’ve pulled a small travel trailer I would not consider something that big. Good luck but I think a class C Motorhome would be easier to manoeuvre.
Loving the silver!
Your not in Florida have fun and take care and take it easy and enjoy it
You need to use alcohol to clean because the cleanser leaves residue and prevents your command strip to stick. I hung my hats in my van using those too.
Life Is Short-Make It Sweet Thank you very much! 😊🙏
The blown kiss at the end was sweet. 😘🍃
Dog & Butterfly Thank you very much! 😊🙏
Love your Colo hat lol being from Colo 😀
I’ve always wanted to Geocache 😊
Grey is beautiful!
Do you have a screen on your door? So it could be open, even though its raining?
I didn't know that Syracuse was salt city wow
The silver makes your face look smother and softer. Will look beautiful when it’s all grown out. Hang in there
Look at Prius V and their latest builds.
Are you coming to Albany, New York?
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
