No problem! I've got a couple more videos on this pistol. And don't forget to show your support and check out my online store! reverendguns.printify.me/products
Bought my Canik as my first gun from academy and wanted to be 100% confident in myself and the gun before having to be put in the position to use it. i’ve gone through about 400 rounds flawlessly but was unsure of the cleaning. This was an excellent tutorial and I can definitely say i was able to clean mine with ease after watching!
Just picked up one of these used today at a pawn shop. Haven't had a 9 in years. Looking forward to shooting it. I'm sure I overpaid, but it's in perfect shape.
Thank you, this is my first purchase and I wanted to know how to clean it while I wait for it. I'm sure I'll be using the video a lot, so you get a like.
what if the slide is not pulling forward at all. even after pushing the button down? do i need to take her to the gunsmith for further inspection? Update: Make sure trigger is pulled and empty. Now time to make her shine.
Any gun cleaning kit will work. Just make sure it has the barrel brush and jag in your caliber. Get patches labeled with your caliber .I personally use Shooter Lube as the cleaner and M-Pro 7 for the lubricant. I can't post links or I'll get a strike from TH-cam.
Not yet. I went to the range the other day with the friend who has this pistol. She was having a stove pipe issue. So now I'm looking at it to find the issue.
Finally went and shot my TP9 SF Elite for the first time a couple days ago. I've had the gun almost a year and it was the first time I could finally shoot it. And it shot very well. I'm confident I will hit what I'm aiming at. I bought a "nice" little cleaning kit, when I first purchased the gun. And I sat down for my first cleaning. Found this video here....and got started. Unfortunately it didn't take me long to realize my so called cleaning kit was missing vital parts. Such as cleaner or oil! 😖 So I will be returning to this video tomorrow hopefully. Looks like a good easy to follow video. I do have a question if someone can answer. I shot about 120 rounds at the range. Do I NEED to clean it? I just figured I would clean it after every use at the range. Is that necessary, or not?
Ideally, you want to clean it after every day of shooting. You're trying to prevent carbon build-up. 120 rounds isn't much to cause enough carbon to be a problem. You could just run a bore snake through the barrel and add some oil. I'd say after 400+ rounds, it definitely needs cleaning.
@@reverendguns I appreciate the info. Will vegetable oil work?..... That's a joke. I will be going out today to buy some cleaner and oil. Thank you again. 👍
You don’t gotta slide the the slide back to take it apart like a glock. Just pull the tabs down the slide will go forward a ever so slightly than pull the trigger than lift the slide off.
I don't like it when the trigger is pulled to take it apart. I see lots of people trying to be slick and didn't bother to unload and check if the firearm was clear, then accidentally discharge and either shoot themselves or someone else. I don't recommend doing it that way.
Yes, it doesn't take long to clean this pistol. These videos are for beginners who want to learn how to do it. And after they learn it and do it a few times, I'm sure they could clean it with their eyes closed.
First time gun owner (Canik TPS9SF-Elite) and user here. This video gave me confidence to clean my Canik 🤘🏽 thanks man!

Same and I agree!
I’m subscribing for the going in the rear joke.
LOL that's awesome. You're the first to say anything about that.
Thanks brother I’m glad it was this easy since I’m a first time gun owner
No problem!
I just grabbed one of these about a week ago and it’s even better than the videos make it seem. Crazy good for the price.
Nice! It's a fun pistol to shoot! Please subscribe and check out my other videos!
Thanx for your video! Great quality. Easy to hear. Not a bunch of BS. I'm going to swap the stock recoil spring with a lighter one, the blue, today.
No problem! Glad you liked it! You know if you put a lighter spring in, it will cause more recoil?

It's a lot of fun to shoot. I made a few videos for this gun. Check them out and please subscribe.
if you paid less that $400 then you got a deal, if ya paid more well honestly it’s probably still worth every penny (especially if it’s mint cond)
Love my canik but I was unaware of cleaning after 500 rounds..im fixing to clean mine after this. Thanks for the video
No problem! Glad I could help.i have other videos for upgrades too! Please help me out and subscribe

Please share the solvents and cleaning kit that you used. Thank you
I use shooter lube solvent. The tools I use are just little things I picked up at Walmart or Academy. I didn't buy a whole kit.
I love my Canik❤. Yeah it’s inexpensive but it’s my go to.
It's a great gun
@@reverendguns thanks for the video btw. It really needed cleaning
No problem, help me out and share my videos!
This is my first gun purchase and I love my canik. Curious, what cleaner do you use?
That's a great choice for a first gun. I use Shooter Lube to clean.
How do you clean you towels and rags after cleaning? I’m assuming we don’t want to put those in the wash machine with our clothes
Correct. These are rags, so I just wash them in a bucket, let them dry, and they're ready.
Liked and subscribed keep goin man this video helps me out a lot
AWESOME! Thanks!
Very nice video, could you list the tools, materials, and the two spray/oil you used?

is there any specific ammo reccomendation since there so many report regarding the cycle jam?

@@reverendguns I'm going to NEED a Shoulder Holster for Conceal carry as I ride a Motorcycle & do NOT want to try & hide it in my pants
@Lordbaccus are you asking for my recommendations?
@@reverendguns yes - the ones on Amazon look Flemzy
I might have missed the answer ..but how often do you need to clean it? Is it literally after each use or?
Yes, I recommend cleaning it after each use. You don't want carbon to build up.

I wasn’t pulling the slide back before pressing the takedown levers, no waonder I thought it was hard to pull 😂
I'm glad this video was helpful!
Disassembly/re-assembly similar to Glock.
Yes, it is similar
Give ya thumbs up but crap cleaning this gun takes 5 minutes tops.
