Just found this video, and I just want to say I own this gun and I shoot this the best out of all my firearms. Earned it’s place as my home defense firearm.
One of the best firearms made. As you mentioned, the trigger is phenomenal. The quality of the manufactre is as good as any firearm made. I've owned & sold many Caniks and have always regretted selling or trading them. Just bought another today & this one is staying in the stable. Simply put, you can spend more, but you won't find a better firearm.
@@pabloescobar7802 I do not understand why Glock will not put factory metal sights on their firearms. At $600 you would think that they would have gotten on board with the rest of the industry.
I bought a canik tp9sf elite used a few years ago and really liked it but people said that there wasn't much aftermarket support so I sold it and got a new g19 gen 5. It was ok, plastic sights and spongy trigger and it felt like I was shooting a 2x4. I sold the g19 and bought a new tp9sf elite. Now I'm in the hunt for a good iwb holster.
Most of newer guns don’t have great aftermarket parts available. But I am sure that companies are working on that. Until then you may have to just pick up a universal holster, let us know if you find one!
Bought it 3 months ago. It’s actually my 4th canik. Tp9v2, tp9sf, tp9da and now the sf elite. Love these pistols. I haven’t touched my glock or any of my other 9mm’s in over a year. Prolly going to sell em

I’m just saying glock came and set the bar for striker fired pistols and today’s market is flooded with options just as reliable and accurate. I predict caniks will cost the same as a glock so nows the time to pick them up. The mete is already north of $500. It’s good to see canik finally getting some recognition. I’ve been an owner and endorser of caniks since 2013
I can honestly say, I’ve NEVER heard anyone say Glocks have good triggers. That said, I’ve never really had an issue with them. I edc a G43x MOS, but also have a couple Caniks. The Canick triggers are clearly superior.
It almost comes across as you stating a fact but what is criteria for a “good trigger”? If it’s a crisp break, flawless performance, or a pronounced reset that you find in Canik, you find the exact same in Glock. Glock does have good triggers or you wouldn’t daily a Glock…. At least I would hope that if they had bad triggers (which is the alternative, either good or bad) you wouldn’t carry it to defend your life everyday. And you say you’ve never had an issue with them, nothing but good thing to say!! It is a run of the mill product, every Glock looks the same but all of that boils down to asthetics. I took my new canik TP9SF to the range without cleaning & lubing it. The first mag fired just fine, but I noticed that the slide seemed a little gritty. The next 2 mags had issues. I had stove piping and several misfeeds. I thought, What have I done. I took it home and cleaned it thoroughly and lubed it. Not too much lube, but in the right spots. I've never had another issue with it. I have gone through about 2500 rounds without one problem. Some of my gun friends say you should clean & lube any new gun. I saw too many unboxing videos I guess. I bought a Sig P365 XL and cleaned it immediately. It hasn't malfunctioned at all, but I don't shoot it near as well as my canik. It's big and heavy and feels great in your hand. Mine is a Series One. It came with one mag and a plastic box for $278 @ Sportsmans Warehouse. I love it and will never get rid of it.
They are great guns. Honestly not because I have anything to prove but I never clean guns before I shoot them even before TH-cam and I’ve never had a single issue to speak of with any Canik. Hey guys, first time finding you. Love the review on this gun. I own this gun, and the tp9sf. I own glocks, s&w, ruger, fns, taurus,hks, walthers, czs, and so on. The triggers on these caniks are some of the best out of the box polymer triggers on the market. If you are someone who says glocks have a better trigger. You are just a glock fan boy who is either fooling yourself, or you have never shot any other gun out there. For the money, you can't beat the canik line of pistols. Now that being said, canik is starting to raise there prices as their popularity is growing. But it has forced American gun manufacturers to think about the prices on their firearms. Competition is great for consumers, cause we win with better quality and prices.
I hope that economic theory pans out and big box companies like glock come down some in price! We will see but I am not holding my breath. I agree they make some of the best for the price, hopefully they maintain that lower price so we can continue to enjoy!

Just bought my first canik tp9sf elite a Cabelas salesman sold me on it saying he luv one he had it’s good entry level gun too do gun Competition and trigger is Smooth haven’t got too shoot it yet but I’m looking forward too when I put this baby too the test I own Glocks roogas Taurus sig p356 Soo I’m definitely looking forward with have fun with my new firearm
Seems like a great gun, just ordered a TF9SF Elite S to add to my collection. Would have prefered TP9DA as my first choice but not available where I am.

I thought that I had to spend a lot of money on a pistol to get a good trigger; until I pulled the trigger on a Canik in a pawn shop. Sold my Hellcat pro and bought one.
Well since you got a Canik, when you get a chance how about a look at the new Mete from Canik in the SFX and the SFT versions. They look really good. So what's the catch? Why is the pistol so cost friendly compared to other guns? Everyone keeps saying there is no catch. But I'm not stupid. I know the companys intention isn't "we just don't like getting more money." As much as I would like to purchase this gun, I would like to know the catch.
There truly is no catch it’s a Turkish made gun. They don’t have the overbearing regulations that other countries have so they are able to sale cheaper. Also they are still Relatively new so they have to be cheaper to encourage purchase. I suspect the prices will go up in coming years. Heh I actually did make this the next gun I've bought 😂 had to trade in all of my other guns and a few swords, but I was able to get this and a Sccy CPX-3 380.

Meanwhile, Walther, H&K, CZ, Canik, Steyr, to mention a few, have reinvented and improved the striker-fired polymer frame handgun significantly. Glock WAS the king. Not anymore. I take a Walther PDP, a H&K VP9, a CZ P10, a Canik TP9, over any Glock!
We aren’t necessarily brand loyal but if you made us choose only one brand and we couldn’t have another it would be CZ all day everyday not even close. With that said there’s something to be said for a company that has made the EXACT same gun (no real changes) for 30 something years and still out sale all other brands some combined. But I get it Glocktards can be annoying. I personally think H&K, and CZ are better
Something is wrong with your "experience": at the beginning of the video you admit that you aren't very much familiarized with their "lineup". Later on, you state that "this model is very comparable to ALL THE OTHER Caniks, trigger-wise". Smells fishy.

Look at Cleveland Kydex Holsters as well as Werkz Holsters. I believe the Canik Store has new holsters that might work.

Just bought a full size TP SF CANIK 18 round magazines about the same size as my M&P 9mm I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens.

The Canik TP9 is the old model. The new Canik Mete SFx is far better. The trigger is better. The accuracy is better.
