I was expecting that although Padme had made attempts to have Shmi set free, the Jedi Counsel impeded her and outright stopped her. The explanation being that if Shmi was freed, she would seek to reunite with Anakin, and thus Anakin's attachment for her would hinder their _control_ over him.
Why would Shmi seek to reunite with Anakin if she sent him off to the Jedi Order? Everyone knows kids sent there won't be coming back anytime soon or ever. I am pretty sure Shmi knew this as well so it won't be something that I would expect her to do.

You have to understand that most people in the star wars universe, the commen citizen, don't know what we, the audience, know. Which is why Palpatine was able to take control. People didn't know that he was a sith, or anything like that. Most people don't evem know about the force. Hell, very few people within the rebellion knew Luke was a Jedi. Hence why Cara did not know who he was. So Shimi might of thought she would be able to reunite with her son if she was ever given the chance to leave planet.

In the Queen's Shadow novel, there is a bit mentioned about Padme's friends' search for Shmi on Tatooine and their freeing of 25 slaves. While it's not the most exciting novel, the audiobook, read by the lovely Catherine Taber, was a great backstory into Padme and company and solidified my love and respect for Padme as a character. Tbh, I wish she had her own drama series (like Reign) that focused on the politics of Star Wars and the other senators, like Organa and Mina Bonteri
That would be interesting. To be fair though, you do get a glimpse of Padme’s heroics as a senator for the republic in the clone wars series. She certainly is bold, cunning and radically tactical just like Anakin. It makes her feel far more active in what leads up to the fall of the republic itself.

The medical droids can't find anything wrong with her because they can't detect that her life force is being drained, therefore they tell Obi Wan, "It seems she has just lost the will to live," because they can't work out why she's dying

I am starting to wonder if the Developers that made Swtor and Kotor are onto something. It would actually be a very smart move to put the actual story of Star Wars in a Star Wars game. Everyone should think about that for a minute. Swtor telling a hidden story of a character you play as. Who fights the Sith emperor but letting the player or players change the story how they want by letting them make their own choices. But also continuing the main story of Star Wars. The game Swtor and Kotor both have actual Sith and Jedi who were their in the original Star Wars story that is now legends

But again in swtor the game is based off of your own character you make and the character you make is the Chosen one of that era. The Chosen one you play as ends up killing the Sith Emperor and his family. Than becomes the most powerful being in the galaxy. But the problem with that is you wouldn’t really know if the Chosen one during that era was a Sith or Jedi. years before that era. It was Darth Revan who was the chosen one and supposedly killed the emperor in a final fight.
Revan was not stronger than the Sith Emperor, he was defeated twice by him, he couldnt beat him with Malak. However, I would say Revan is the most influential since he was inspiration for Bane’s rule of two and the final result being Sidious, the most powerful sith in history.

I think this is a very interesting comic because we never knew what was going through Anakin's head once he became Darth Vader. Also, doesn't Padme knowing about Shmi Skywalker's last known location contradict her and Anakin's journey on trying to find her in AOTC?
Man, I know Vader has always been a creature filled with hate and rage, but seeing how he's just being written (mostly in recent comics to be fair) as a mindless animal who just goes berserk at the faintest mention of the massive list of things that upset him (Padme, Anakin, Obi-wan, Jedi, Sith, Palpatine, mother, slavery, rebels, anyone that is moderately happy, etc.) I feel does the character a real disservice. It really makes him into this animal that had no control over himself and Vader being a mindless beast makes him much less intimidating and memorable of a villain. I miss a Vader that could actually think and react to things without letting blind rage overcome him, and I get that that's kinda his thing, but when it becomes his ONLY reaction it just kinda grows stale.
I have to say I agree. It made more sense in the comic where he had just become Vader, he is young and furious. (Though I still think they made him a bit too much of a monster) But later he is a cold calculating machine, he should not lash out so easily. It reduces the impact of seeing him loose control.
This shows a lot of Padmes point of view. Padme tried to save Shimi for Anakin and she also failed. She felt bad about it and probably even worse seeing Anakin carring her dead body in his arms. It could explain more why she was more accepting of Anakin killing the Tuskens especially after his speech in her funeral.
I thought it would turn out that padme went to tatooine to free shmi but she would’ve met her with Lars and left afterwards when shmi asked her to bring anakin to her soon. Then once they got there Shmi would’ve disappeared and Padme would’ve had to deal with the guilt of not bringing shmi with her when she got the chance. Also she could have spoken with Shmi about Anakin revealing her feelings and Shmi would give her blessing for them to be together.
You’ve milked this same footage three times now without advancing the story. If you had more information to insert you should have slowed the pace and given it then because it wasn’t enough for two, let alone three, videos.
Darth Vader was like manray in that one episode of SpongeBob. He felt like annihilating them and had to wait for the perfect time but ended up saving them a few times LOL
They're actually some of the best STAR WARS material we've seen in years. Other than THE MANDALORIAN & FALLEN ORDER, most of the new stuff has been petty weak in my own opinion.
To me this is something that always bothered me about the prequels. With Padme’s status, I always thought she should be able to have freed Anakin’s mother.
Her status meant nothing in the Outer Rim. She was in the brink of war. By the time she was able to focus on helping others vs her own people things had already changed.

Well his suit was specifically made for combat and all its tribulations. So being able to swim or last in water doesn't seem like that big of a surprise. The suits only real weakness was Palpatines sith lightening.

I think this is a very interesting comic because we never knew what was going through Anakin's head once he became Darth Vader.
Also, doesn't Padme knowing about Shmi Skywalker's last known location contradict her and Anakin's journey on trying to find her in AOTC?
I mean, isn’t her last known location just Watto’s junk shop? They went there to find her in AotC

Man, I know Vader has always been a creature filled with hate and rage, but seeing how he's just being written (mostly in recent comics to be fair) as a mindless animal who just goes berserk at the faintest mention of the massive list of things that upset him (Padme, Anakin, Obi-wan, Jedi, Sith, Palpatine, mother, slavery, rebels, anyone that is moderately happy, etc.) I feel does the character a real disservice. It really makes him into this animal that had no control over himself and Vader being a mindless beast makes him much less intimidating and memorable of a villain. I miss a Vader that could actually think and react to things without letting blind rage overcome him, and I get that that's kinda his thing, but when it becomes his ONLY reaction it just kinda grows stale.
I have to say I agree. It made more sense in the comic where he had just become Vader, he is young and furious. (Though I still think they made him a bit too much of a monster) But later he is a cold calculating machine, he should not lash out so easily. It reduces the impact of seeing him loose control.

This shows a lot of Padmes point of view. Padme tried to save Shimi for Anakin and she also failed. She felt bad about it and probably even worse seeing Anakin carring her dead body in his arms. It could explain more why she was more accepting of Anakin killing the Tuskens especially after his speech in her funeral.

I thought it would turn out that padme went to tatooine to free shmi but she would’ve met her with Lars and left afterwards when shmi asked her to bring anakin to her soon. Then once they got there Shmi would’ve disappeared and Padme would’ve had to deal with the guilt of not bringing shmi with her when she got the chance. Also she could have spoken with Shmi about Anakin revealing her feelings and Shmi would give her blessing for them to be together.

You’ve milked this same footage three times now without advancing the story. If you had more information to insert you should have slowed the pace and given it then because it wasn’t enough for two, let alone three, videos.

They're actually some of the best STAR WARS material we've seen in years. Other than THE MANDALORIAN & FALLEN ORDER, most of the new stuff has been petty weak in my own opinion.

To me this is something that always bothered me about the prequels. With Padme’s status, I always thought she should be able to have freed Anakin’s mother.
Her status meant nothing in the Outer Rim. She was in the brink of war. By the time she was able to focus on helping others vs her own people things had already changed.
When the comics are more entertaining than the movies

Well his suit was specifically made for combat and all its tribulations. So being able to swim or last in water doesn't seem like that big of a surprise. The suits only real weakness was Palpatines sith lightening.
