      What has your experience been like especially with the fan noise and performance unplugged please? I’m trying to decide between this g10 with 14 inches or the g11 with core ultra 155h. Battery life is secondary for me. I just need something with decent performance and most importantly reasonably quiet

    This is such a great review and so under-viewed! Thanks!!! The only thing I didn't like about this laptop is screen resolution (only full HD). It would have made a whole lot difference if it is at least 2K :(. Other than that, everything else seems perfect!

      Thanks! HP have been letting the EliteBook range rot over the last few years. Totally agree, the display lets the side down.

    It only has one heatpipe cooler. P16s and P16V have more. The 14" Thinkpads and Elitebooks usually hit +55c on keyboard top row with long sustained workloads.

    Hi, can you explain if the iGPU that is Radeon can carry out computations with Machine Learning and Deep Learning professionals?
    Or that's only performable on Nvidia Graphics cards that support both Tensor and CUDA cores?
    I'd appreciate your reply. Thanks.

    • @Dovecomputers
      @Dovecomputers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The answer is yes it can ( AMD provides a software platform called ROCm that supports major machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch) but won't be as good as a NVIDIA dedicated GPU. So if you rely on it for your workflow, get a workstation with a NVIDIA RTX Ada GPU.

      Its not about the CPU. Apple has benefit of developing both software and hardware and thus can optimize the efficiency. Iphones have way smaller batteries than android but still get way better battery life being so efficient. (btw I have never owned apple devices)

      You are comparing battery life of a x86 vs an ARM CPU? Might wanna compare performance under some real load like a KVM virtual machine. ARM processors are completely dead meat once you throw a VM on them.
