Nobody can do what Nicholas David Dinsmore did, he could've been an actor, he was so extraordinary at his gimmick and so believable that he inspired people with disabilities. Look at the crowds, they were so excited and Happy, and they would pull for him and cheer for him, he got actual pops. Plus more viewers watched him back then, than pro wrestling today...4 million to 5 million viewers watched Monday Night Raw back then...more then any promotion today. He is remembered by Casuel fans and Lapsed fans, he became a star in just 2 years and kids absolutely loved him. Its funny because we loved him, and everyone in the comment sections, loved him and remembers his character fondly, he was an incredible Nostalgic character for us all, much like George the Animal Steel and the Oddities...he was a Bright spot in our memories and he was over... nobody complained back then they cheered for him. But I watch some of these TH-cam from other channels, Along with you creating just a negative look back at it, maybe because you are such a MARKS, AND everything about pro wrestling has to be serious but its not, it also supposed to be fun and entertaining... it's like you guys make these videos to dimish the impact of Eugene's character, because you guys expect eveyone to be 5 star ridiculous wrestlers and they never get over in America because we love characters, long term telling, and Cinema. I just think you guys make it seem like everything he did was bad and the matches were bad....when they aren't, they were extremely entertaining and amazing to watch Eugene fight back at the end. This false narrative you are trying to create, as if The Eugene character was bad and in bad taste and try to say all he did was had matches because he wasn't and didn't. But little do you TH-camrs know is that Eugene is remembered fondly and we would love him to comeback, he would get a bigger pop then Kenny Omega that's for sure...he is now generational because the Young Gen-Z generation have rediscovered him on the WWE Network and my nephew who is 19 years old and Autistic loves him and always tells me he should comeback. We are not gonna be in comment section going along with your ridiculous score numbers as if they valid and make say things like " he was boring, that was in bad taste, he bad... because he wasn't, he made a lasting impact. Those scores you give him were asinine because we joyed all his matches and appearances.
17 year old me was at the Raw in Peoria, IL for the Eugene-Snitsky hardcore match. Had 3rd row floor tickets. The 2 things I remember from that match was thinking, "Eugene hardcore match? K you have my attention..." and being surprised at just how large a man Snitsky was in person.
Its kind of weird Eugene (who generally mimics 80s/90s wrestlers) didn't do any Mick Foley stuff in the hardcore match. Though by that point his character was starting to just slide off and just do the same moves over and over rather then basing them on the match. (He does later do the socko thing in a tag match randomly)
I get why some may not like Eugene or even be offended by the character, but Eugene was awesome. I always enjoyed his segments, especially with William Regal.
Yeah, that Eugene vs. Edge match (as well as all the other beat the clock challenges on that RAW) had an extra stipulation where if the other person (in this case Eugene) won they'd steal the person (Edge)'s chamber spot. So they had to continue or else Edge would've lost his spot. Shame I don't remember any other beat the clock challenge having that stip since.
I always found it funny Regal was a heel then Eugene showed up he became a defender of the handicap manager despite Eugene not actually being handicap it was good storyline for how offensive it comes across
Great video but it's a shame you didn't mention the promo that William Regal cut on Triple H after what he did to Eugene. Probably one of the best he's ever delivered before. Conway was one of my first WWE action figures when I was a kid…thanks for reminding me he even existed🤣🤣
Another run that can be graded is Jerry Lynns ENTIRE WWF run. He had only 4 matches on the A-Shows, but between those 4 matches and his matches on the B-Shows amounted to 27 matches.
My autistic nephew absolutely loves him and he was born in 2005 and discovered him long after he left WWE. Around 2012. And he likes going back on the WWE Network to watch old Monday Night Raws from 2004 until 2009.
He is so believable and amazing with that gimmick. I honestly think The Eugene character inspired my nephew and made him happy watching him.
Eugene is truly loved in iconic.
He would be so over now in WWE...he would get a huge pop.
I don't understand why you are scoring this, he is iconic and loved by Causel fans, you can't expect him to be a indy darling, Japanese spot fest monkey, doing 9 hundred flips and going for hours just to get a ridiculous 5 star match....this was pure Cinema and entertainment.
The best bit of this feud was William Regal referencing his and HHH's time in WCW.
I was at Summerslam 2004 and there was a ton of audible boos for Eugene and huge cheers for HHH
Maven had one of the best wwe theme songs
I never thought I'd hear my name so much in one of this videos!!! This video gets an A💯
I've never heard the hawk sound so serious as when he said "How fucking dare he" after coach knocked the cookies away
I get why some may not like Eugene or even be offended by the character, but Eugene was awesome. I always enjoyed his segments, especially with William Regal.
That was a genuine blood feud he had with Triple H. I cant believe they managed something like that with his character.
can i just say
This is he first video ive seen on this channel, i liked it, bloody good show
I loved Eugene especially his entrance song. It was a banger
I love Eugene because he pisses off all the people I hate.
I like how you use the dutty wine riddim in most if your vids as background music, i see your man of culture 😏😏💪🏾💪🏾
When your background music overlaps it gives me Eugene levels of anxiety
Yeah, that Eugene vs. Edge match (as well as all the other beat the clock challenges on that RAW) had an extra stipulation where if the other person (in this case Eugene) won they'd steal the person (Edge)'s chamber spot. So they had to continue or else Edge would've lost his spot. Shame I don't remember any other beat the clock challenge having that stip since.
Eugene was one of my first favorite wrestlers
I always found it funny Regal was a heel then Eugene showed up he became a defender of the handicap manager despite Eugene not actually being handicap it was good storyline for how offensive it comes across
Great video but it's a shame you didn't mention the promo that William Regal cut on Triple H after what he did to Eugene. Probably one of the best he's ever delivered before. He basically laid into Triple H for taking advantage of a "disadvantaged boy"(as Regal called him)and threatened to beat him into a bloody mess for Eugene.
14:28 I remember watching this and thinking that Eugene was the new World Heavyweight Champion for a week lol
Figure four/sharpshooter from edge is called The Edge-ucator
Eugene had a great run and got to use every wrestlers finisher
I always enjoyed Nick Dinsmore matches back in the day.
The Snowman should bring in Eugene to be the new leader of the Blackpool Combat Club.
The Eugene gimmick definitely wouldn’t fly nowadays.
@@nero48the only reason Dismore took the Gimmick it’s because he was frustrated that he wasn’t call up to the main roster and he even pitch the gimmick to Vince and at course Vince said yes
That's why I loved Eugene so much!! Ironically, everyone acts retarded nowadays. 😂
@@kokotheclown2588 the Eugene gimmick was his idea
@Nero No it wasn't.
Man you got to do my run as VINCENT when I was NWO 4 life & was just 2 SWEET + my run as CURLY BILL my most copied gimmick 🍝 💰
I could watch this not once, but twice.
Pic of bischoff and Morrison on the wall at 4:35 is hilarious 😂
So Regal won the tag belts in UK and Japan. Have you done the Regal Tajiri tag team?
Finally! The video I’ve been waiting on
"because they both like to play games" LMFAOOOO
would love to see Tomko get a tryout for the ring of the hawk..I Found him really underrated, and he had some good momentum back in TNA
The craziest part about the whole story of Eugene (Nick Dinsmore) was that he was actually a great wrestler. No one has held the world title in OVW more than Eugene. Crazy stuff
Eugene is a legend don't take the piss out of him he was a nice superstar who isn't a jobber he was more of a comedy superstar who did get some great wins. Also missed his match vs Umaga at vengeance 2006
Never go full Eugene
SVR 06 GM mode if you didn't have Eugene on the roster and the other brand did he always became world champion
16:44 - I remember seeing this live and losing my shit with HHH dragging Ric Flair to the back by his leg.
U actually missed one more match that he had back in 2009 against the miz where he was wrestling as the calgary kid
2:36 omg that picture looks....off
The fact you had Dutty wine playing in the background the whole time 💀💀💀💀💀
I laughed way too hard at the made you look move 🤣
This has one of Williams best promos, I can't wait.
Eugene was the Shang Tsung of the WWE Universe. He could just copy other wrestlers' moves. lol
Have you seen Hangman Adam Page hit John Moxley in the head with a brick? Cause it actually happened during AEW Revolution.
They did a couple things with the bricks but the last thing they used one for was to hit someone in the head with it.
😄👍
Man Adam Page STOLE my Curly Bill gimmick from WCW 😡 its cool but throw me something for it 💰 🍝
@@WWFSuperstarVirgil have you mentioned it to him? If not you should probably say something, maybe he won't even know what you're talking about. Or maybe he will know and actually give you something 🤷♂️
Clearly Hangman watches Ring of the Hawk.
@@DasNordlicht91 maybe?🤷♂️
Seth Rollins stomping someone through a pile of cinder blocks was better.
