Thanks for this great tutorial. The "diffuse glow filter" made opposite effect in my project. It was darkening instead of lighting. For those who have the same trouble like me, the problem was foreground/background color switch. Switch it with x to have the normal effect.

this is the best tutorial out there for this painted effect, ive done so many different methods and none of them are as easy to follow and remember as this one. Plus the finished product is so clean and easy to adjust between pictures.

Great tutorial. Only problem is on the photo I found the oil painting effect was not eliminated all the way. I still have squiggly lines in the end product. I re applied the process to make sure I did it correctly and got the same results. Maybe the photo has to be perfect lighting to work.
Sir I am getting a problem the digital painting effect is not coming on some areas it's applied and some areas not applied please provide some help sir ❤️
The tutorial is made based on smart objects, they are duplicates of each other and as a result, they will be linked together, and whatever is added inside anyone of them all smart objects will get the same update. So, when I open the smart object @7:40 and change the image inside it, all smart objects got the same update in the main document and all applied filters re-affect the new updated smart objects.

A filter doesn't make a painting .. it's still a image with a filter on top in my opinion
