That's the issue I'm having! Installed Real Paint FX yesterday and got error with almost every image. Now I am going to look how to reinstall Photoshop 2021

The 2 rendering softwares I like the best are Topaz Studio 2 AI Remix and another is ColorCinch. Neither in Envato. But thanks for showing these. I like the pen sketch one you showed.

IMPORTANT question for whoever can answer me: is it possible with these actions to make a transparent background? The idea is of course to integrate several images with these effects on a different background. I tried to save in PNG format, but it seems these actions havea a white background pre-defined. Is there a solution for having the result on a transparent background instead of white BG ? Thanks in advance for your help!!! 😀

Thanks you are among the best of Adobe graphic design instructors; Congratulate you for the job well done; Can u tell me how to clean up old color grainy & hazy photos, some with scratch noise, all were scanned with moderate quality scanner; All JPG format; I used Neural Filter, also used the Camera Raw Filters; these filters improved the photos substantially but do not do anything for grainy part (tiny white dots all over the photo) I'm sure you have covered these topics but have not been able to find your relevant video clips; I appreciate it if you send me a link.

THE hardest THING I have done computer-wise since I am not an expert. I couldn't unzip the files to begin with or LOCATE THEM. Took me 7 hours trying to figure out (including adding the FX Box, which at the end didn't even needed). FINALLY, I was able to make it work! *this video helped at the end big time ***after I have gone through MANY hurdles to get to this point*** and follow him. BUT if I could do it, ANYONE CAN!

These are great, RealPaint FX is much easier to install and run doing it the way you showed. I learned something else by trying the pen sketch action out. In the past, I kept assuming an action was no longer working because of a PS update or something when I got error message popups saying things like "Select is not available". I'd click continue and at times, I'd have to click continue on several such error messages. When the action finally finished, the results were always terrible, and I'd get rid of the action. When it happened today, after getting over my disappointment, a lightbulb lit up. I realized what I did and what I had probably done all of the other times there's error messages popped up. I ran the action after turning the layer into a smart layer. I ran the pen sketch action again but on a normal layer and guess what? No error message popups. Live and learn!

Real Paint tools.tpl won't load in Photoshop 2022 or 2021, how are you people getting this to work?

When I run this action I don't get a "Reveal Back" layer. I have one called "Add Definition" but that doesn't seem to work the same (can't seem to mask out overly painted areas the same was as in the tutorial). Did they update this script, or am I doing something wrong?

Hey Unmesh - totally LOVE your work! Cannot get PenSketch to work at all. (Mac Ventura 13.1/Photoshop 2023) It wants approval every step of the way and Filter Galleries is not available (whatever that is) so it all falls over. I have new layers coming up transparent, you don't in this tutorial. Completely baffled.
Does the pen sketch work with landscapes or buildings?

If I want to get the real painting photo “printed”, how can I preserve and replicate the protruding extra textures and photo edges? I know you are working only on digital creations, but can you suggest a video explaining printing methods for the requested painting photo effect?
Perhaps print it first then add some thickened lacquer over it. Seen this effect in some stores selling prints.

OT. My question is about creating actions. How to record actions the way that they work don't stop somewhere in the middle stating something like "the layer does't exist, "the command "select" is not currently available" and etc.? :) Can you create a full tutorial about it? :) Regards
This is not Unmesh but it's usually a layer is not named correctly. I have one that the background has to be renamed (I forget) and that error will come up. They should come with instructions letting you know how to set it up before hitting play.
And sometimes you have to have the right brush selected.
Can photoshop ca3 or cs6 can run that script sir?
Must i change the Photoshop language in English or why stands there when i start the Action that there's no Command found?

(on a Mac mini (m1) running photoshop 2022) each time I try to "double-click" either the .pat or the .tpl files, I get a message stating that "There is no application set to open the document “Real Paint FX Patterns.pat”... Any idea why?

Figured it out! Action works great now!!
In case your having similar issues. I found that I could not get "double click" on either of the .pat or the .tpl file to automatically install like on Unmesh's video. The directions in the pdf files were not accurate/complete either. The pdf does not tell you that you need to select "tools" for the .tpl file from the drop down menu. Also, it turns out that photoshop moved the patters from the preset manager, to its own window. From the patterns window you can load your .pat file and everything will then work great. hope this helped and made sense.

In 2022 I get Error 8800: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. Select not available line 416. FYI
UPDATE:I tried with PS 2021 and got same message.... maybe a MAC issue .. I'm running Montery 12.3.1
