I have a 99 civic hatch that I got from the original owner from Chicago as well and it looks very similar underneath. I’m looking forward to seeing how you combat the rust. Car looks so good!
Good job, please do get those rockers cut out and re welded and those rear control arms replaced. Another thing, inspect the rear strut towers from the interior as they like to rust and send struts through the metal after a hard pot hole.
Will do man, thank you!! Definitely in the works with the rockers and rear control arms! Good looks on the strut towers, from what I remember they’re clean, gonna check again soon!
Looks great, but you painted the plastic bit in the bumper that is supposed to stay black. personally, i think it ruins the front of the car. but that is my opinion
all the suspension and sub frames/braces should be pulled to really get everywhere (or replace because easier).....everything is nice but the front bumper. the front bumper is too much. maybe go OE w/a lip spoiler and a canard or two. that bumper you chose is visually bottom heavy....
Thank you for your opinion! I enjoy the early 2000s aesthetic of the front bumper! I did have side skirt canards and rear bumper canards painted but decided to leave them off!
@@undrclss ...no worries. I waited to late in life to start random car projects. It takes me 6-7 years just to get my daily moving in the right direction. I'm always a fan of OEM+ that makes ppl think the car came like that....
Saw the thumbnail and came here just to say that front bumper and those sideskirts ruin the car.
Thank you sir!

Thank you man!! Bugeye gang!
That brace in the front that’s rotted out under your motor, you actually don’t need that you can take it out until you can buy a new one.
@@Jaydendierksss thank you very much!! I had thought so but didn’t remember correctly 🙏🏻

I like it MORE without the black surrounding the fog lights etc. All a matter of opinion for sure!
Amazing project but im really sorry, imo, you ruined it with that front bumper flare man
It’s all one piece fiberglass, thank you for your opinion!
