Nice rexy!! I bought my STI Bugeye back in 2002 straight out of the showroom of a Subaru dealer. I'm happy to say I still own the Bugeye and only have 33,000km on the original clock. Its still all original, apart from Genome exhaust/catback and blowout valve.
Awesome car!! with your intercooler piping and inlet I'd say it might be smart to get it e-tuned for reliability. Before investing money into painting things make sure you have all the maintenance done, timing belt water pump Is CRUCIAL, and look into pitch stop mount, and transmission mount, great upgrades, and they like to collapse. that wing is not common at all and I would keep it.
Thank you! I am planning on getting the car tuned as it had been before It was mine, unfortunately no information on it hahaha. Planning on doing all the maintenance soon as it's just for peace of mind.
Lovely av got a 2004 XT SG5 2.0 ej205 aswell mica red a think love it needs welding but a dont wanna sell it , av viewed a 2002 bugeye mica red a wr blue 2005 blobeye wagon 66k and a 1997 green gc8 uk2000 all 3 were rotten unfortunately in Scotland subarus are almost impossible too get rust free
@@NodSpeed My current XT is from Cockermouth Cumbria its the rear suspension turrets usall place , a had a 2001 SF5 s turbo forester aswell subframe snapped in half whilst driving sea side Scotland subaru haha £1500 years ticket daily for 10,000 miles cant complain spent £1400-1500 on it , £1750 for my current xt years ticket its been mostly undersealed and had a new subframe , needs a Cat bushes and welding then it should pass , sold my s turbo as i had just bought a 2000 Honda Civic vti B18c4 Aerodeck and ran out of money also lost that too rust but got just over 18 months as a daily
Literally my dream car. Love bugs as they are but the modifications and paintwork look so good. May I ask where you recommend I pick one up (facebook, autotrader etc.) and what kind of price range is reasonable in your opinion? I'm UK based
Thank you As for where to pick one up or any Subaru for that matter, there isn't really one place that's better than the other since it's all about the owners. I found mine off of Facebook and had to travel a few hours to collect, but try and look for the ones with more history since they've probably been looked after the most and definitely bring someone whose got knowledge of cars or Subarus in general, because these things can hide rust and rot

Woah that's pretty cool that you've managed to keep it original from purchase and have that low of mileage, definitely a keeper car.
@@NodSpeed thanks mate, definitely not selling. ✌🏽
Hey like your Subaru on your TH-cam videos and I like your gold rims
It's also got the blobeye radiator on there and the wrong cap that's a 2 way valve will leak coolant when boosting
It hasn't leaked any since owning so I presume it's holding for now, but definitely something I will be changing

Nice car.
I removed my A/C too because race car.
Thank you!
Yes the AC is removed hahaha, because at some point this was on track and the owner who had it removed the AC for 'weight saving'

Yes unfortunately these cars attract rust and rot like there is no tomorrow, especially depending on where you live
