Wish I'd seen this vid before I fitted mine - I ended up squeezing the filter in without fully removing the airbox lid, but I think it went in OK. Nice vid.
Sorry I didn't get it out sooner Nigel. Feel free to watch it again when your are due for your first filter cleaning. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
Just ordered one. My bikes in for a exhaust remap and along with the new GPR pipe just fitted that little lot adds up to a bit more grunt. Basic stuff but some say around 5% up on stock. Be interested to hear the induction as it's already gorgeous.
I've got the Arrow can and map and it sounds beautiful, I especially love the engine breaking noise. Haven't managed to remove the dB-killer, it's stuck in there good.
With Arrow cans in the UK, you have to grind off 2-3mm around the outside rim. Then grab a pair of pliers, grab a hold of the inside rim and give it a good pull. They have to be "permanent" due to EU regulations but fortunately Arrow made them very easy to remove. You can even do it whilst leaving the can on if you're careful.
if u disconnect the Fuel line,Electrical couplers & the 2 vaccum hoses the Tank sits up like a Car bonnet. keeping in mind to be careful not to goof up while removing all the ECU housing and air filter bolts.
I'm just about to do this job myself so your video is a big help because I thought it was going to be a lot more complicated. However I dd notice that the air sensor cable entered the front of the airbox when in fact there is a slot on the right hand side... ??
Thanks for the video 👌👍. Planning to do an airfilter change too on my own for the first time. Usualy I let the dealer mechanic do it, but this saves some time riding to the dealer and some bucks too. While I'm at it, gonna check the spark plugs too and do an oil change. I have one question though, the maintenance interval sign on the dashboard, do you let the dealer reset it or do you have the software to do that?
2016 Owner's Manual specifies filter replacement at 12k, but wisely does not show how to do what should be a simple task. Hope I put it back together correctly. I beta shop would bill 2 hours for this...
Good video. I recently bought a 675 triumph street and the rear brake sensor is broken. I’ve bought a replacement but does anyone happen to know where the end of the sensor opposite to the spring side plugs in? I ask here as I’ve found no answers on forums apart from someone mentioning it was under the seat
I did not use a torque wrench but if you are concerned you can consult the service manual which I found here: torrkish.com/triumph/Workshop%20Manual.pdf
Sweet,,,,I Plan on doing this...I just picked up the same bike yesterday and rode it home 650+kms...Do or did your rear brakes (Suck) compared to other bikes?? cause I've owned and ridden a laundry list of bikes from CBR 125s-Zx 10s and my new streets rear brake feels like the pads are Wooden!!! The pads are fine and I cleaned and Scotch brited the disc,,,, (ABS ) off and I still can't skid the rear??? Any help would be appreciated....Thanks Derek
Bit late I know. Same issue of poor rear brake on my 765 S. Took caliper off and by using a (tyre) lever or screw driver and the brake pedal move the piston in and out several times way beyond their normal movement range. For example I pushed them all the way back into the caliper (fluid level rises a little in reservoir) then GENTLY! pump them out a long way - CAREFULL! have a spacer to make sure they don't pop out completely. Do this three or four times. My rear brake now works!
The original music got a copywrite strike, so I replaced it with TH-cam tools but could only do it with one track, and this was the only one long enough
did you have any problems with check engine light? my bike started acting funny when I put a k&n in my 2015 675r. gauges went nuts on day, lost mph, fuel gauge, abs, etc. bike ran fine tho. next day everything worked but check engine light was on. fixing to go back in figure this out. bike still running like a champ tho. nice video by the way
No problems with check engine light or gauges here. Perhaps you didn't properly seat the air sensor cable or pinched a cable when you lowered the tank??? Thanks for the feedback.
Subscribe!
Thanks for the vid. Easier than doing a CB650F. I sold that for the 675R and it was the best decision of my LIIIIIIIIFE!!!!
NuffNuff cbr650f to street triple rs haha
Thank you for posting this, about to install mine today and this is extremely helpful. The audio reminds me of Blade Runner!
Vangelis!
Very helpful...did it in no time knowing the correct procedure...much appreciated!

Feels like its a blade runner changing this filter
Blade Runner or replicant? "More human than human" is our motto.
Oh man I miss my r3 on stuff like this, thanks for the video very usefull

well detailed, absolutely better than reading the manual
Haha, the manual would lead you to believe there was no air filter

Not sure, I didn't notice that if it is the case
Thanks for the video bruv!! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Seriously, no sound when you fire her up!! ???
Missed opportunity
There was different music originally, but I got a copyright hit so added music over top after the fact. Seemed to kill the audio at the end also 😢
Thanks for the video mate, it's really helpful!
Thanks, glad to hear it
Hey! Great vid.
I see some Keith's cans there. Where are you located. I have a '15 str in halifax.
Oakville, but I've been to Halifax and done the Keith's brewery tour, quite the theatrical experience
do you think the new one is better? And why? The old one seems to have a bigger textil part, isnt that better? And thx for the video
thank you great informative video :)
Great work my friend! Can you please tell me what brand is the tank pads and where I can find them? Thanks!
The tank pads are TechSpec, the tank sliders are R&G racing.
Thank you for this video!!

I don't have the software, sorry I can't help there
DaMaX74 hey mate look up thesussexbiker on you tube he talks you through it. does lots of maintenance videos on street triples.

Hope the vid helped
Thanks for this video. Do you need a tune after installing a high flow filter?
I didn't get one, and I don't believe it is necessary
No comment!

No idea
Thankyou !!!
You are very welcome
SUBBED.... lovely bike bro, might do this to my streety....🇬🇧😎👍🏻
Thanks Silky
How to reset a oil service?
Isn’t the tank support bar clipped to the seat on a 2014 ? My 2012 is
I should check, I changed out the seat
Nice video, did you tighten the bolts with the specified nm with a torque wrench? or you just did it manually?
I did not use a torque wrench but if you are concerned you can consult the service manual which I found here: torrkish.com/triumph/Workshop%20Manual.pdf
Awesome! Thanks for the manual!
Hey does it have the same ram air intake box like the 675R Daytona?
Is the K&N filter already oiled ?
Yes
have you noticed and power diffrents with the kn filter?
I think you would need to be keeping tabs on lap times at the track to notice any power increase from an air filter swap, which isn't me yet.
thx for video, good job :)
Merci Julien, and you're welcome.
He, what seat do you have?
The high comfort seat from Triumph
Hello! Is there any difference between the sound before and after installing the filter?
Maybe the intake sound is different, it is hard to say

Don't use the rear brake much unless my right hand is busy.

Wish you put a towl over tank before tightening bolts i was sure you would hit tank😱
Sometimes you have to live dangerously
What is the music love I'm sure I've heard it before?????
g.co/kgs/XbvnjO
no change cartography ?
What do you mean?
@@CrowMagnum quand tu mets un filtre kn la carburation est plus pauvre donc il faut regler la carburation par electronique
Couldn’t just added a simple song or music , but you put some alien music instead😅
Long story
hi may i know what handlebar is this?
Stock handlebar, I just removed the stick mirrors and installed the bar end mirrors from triumph.

techspec-usa.com/motorcycles/triumph/triumph-daytona-675-r-2013-current-street-triple-2013-current-tank-grip-pads.html
The center one is from Triumph

....air filter oil? (are u use it?)
Haven't needed to do a cleaning yet but I definitely will
would 765 2017 be the same ?
Not sure, haven't gotten my hands on one just yet
the music was great , whats that song called ? :-[
g.co/kgs/XbvnjO
the original music was better, removed due to copyright infringement
why this hounted house music. why
The original music got a copywrite strike, so I replaced it with TH-cam tools but could only do it with one track, and this was the only one long enough
