    This is how I wear my hair and finding this video has just changed my whole world!!!!!! It was not intimidating at all to give it a try. My hair dresser doesn’t listen to me and so it always results in my hair being cut too short. I just tried this and I’m officially my own hair stylist. This was easy to follow along and the results were amazing . Just what i needed

    You are saving our money, time, AND confidence with these tutorials. And yes, beautiful hair does make me feel more confident! So, your contribution here is both to the physical AND mental/emotional. I can't tell you the amount of times I've walked out of the salon feeling terrible due to the unsatisfactory haircut. And the feeling lasts for months until my hair grows out. Thank you for saving me from ever having to feel that again.

    My hair turned out great !

    This showed up in my feed today and I can't thank you enough! I have been cutting my own hair since Covid and had been really wanting to add some layers. This was explained and demonstrated so well. Very easy to follow. And yes it works just as well on shorter hair! I cut very little off, but now have a soft bang and angled layers around my face. Perfect!

    Oh my, I am so surprised. I don't even know how to cut hair, and this is the first haircut I have liked in a long time. It looks great. I even used conair scissors from Walmart. I have been trying to find a good hair stylist and they keep wrecking my hair, so I just appreciate you Melissa for this method because it is not too complicated and you don't have to cut by pulling your hair above your head. I can believe it even lays right if you let it dry without styling, but with styling, I got my Farah Faucett hair back. So awesome. thank you. I will add a pic in a bit.

    I just commented on your other video. This video makes much sense of your sectioning the front half, versus last time you only sectioned a very small amount but kept grabbing "random" layers from the back of your head. As a non stylist this was very confusing lol. But I get this much mor3. Thank you!

    Thank you! I had bad layers in the front and this fixed them. My haircut is so flattering now! I always wondered how people had layers that matched their face shape and were not choppy. I love these layers because they will grow out really well.

    Wow, so pleased with how this came out. Great job explaining the process. I was conservative since it’s my first time, but next time I will try to do the back as well. Had to make some minor adjustments once it was dry, and if my stylist ran into me on the street she’d probably SHH, but I’m really pleased! Now onto roots tomorrow! Thank you!!!

    Great video, I always cut my own hair, just have never had a salon cut I'm happy with. So I've been watching many videos on how to do the face framing layers, this one has been extremely helpful but I wish I could find one that shows how to do it with bangs, I have bangs and trying to find some guidance on how to do it or if there's a different technique or do I just go by the same premise of what you did on here. Again great video!

  • @jeanams07
    @jeanams07 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Question for you... In your older videos where your hair is much longer, were you doing this exact cut as well or were you doing more layers? I am assuming that you were at least doing a small trim to the length at that time? I would love to see a tutorial on that. The way you have your hair in your sexy and sultry hair tutorial video where you did the loose waves with a wand and pumped it with texture spray is my hair goals. My hair now is almost to my bra strap and mostly one length but I do have bangs. I am definitely going to use this video to add in some face framing layers, but I would love to know how to maintain my length as well to get to how your hair was in that video.

    Ok! The BEST EVER! I have long very THICK WAVY hair. I tried a different tutorial and ended up with blocky chunks. I watched THIS, And I have a better fit than the hairdresser!!! My very first time! I kept going all the way around my head and my suggestion for thick hair girls is to straighten hair then cut. My curls kept distracting me, so I am going to try a dry cut but the wet cut worked fine. Thank you so much, I hated going to the hairdresser, they always look scared at my hair and one side is always longer. But NO MORE! I FINALLY HAVE A STYLE! 🙏🥰😁

I have to work around my shorter bangs but I can manage and now I know how to hold my fingers. Up or down. And I'm starting with the middle part and just pretending the bangs aren't there. Thanks for doing this. At last instructions that are clear and can be followed step-by--step.

    My hair is long like the length you had in the older video you made showing this haircut. Should I do that one instead? I don’t want too much layers in the back because I have long but finer hair. I like the look of both just don’t know what the major difference is

    I’ve been cutting my own hair straight across for years and it needs a change, so I
    wish I had the guts to try this! 🥲 Your hair looks amazing! Going to watch the video of how you blow dry it next.

    I’ve been watching lots of videos and this was really helpful- I think I’m almost ready to try this. One question, I noticed you don’t point cut when lots of other folks suggest to - any specific reason? Thank u so much
