    Excellent post Harvey. I took my manifold off and cleaned it, cleaned the egr valve, the intakes, replaced the cam position sensor, all thanks to your previous video. My 2.2 runs great now. Managed to replace alternator belt which bypasses the air con. So I did the same, I figured the compressor was noisy. Its a 'Gates' PK1228 belt if anyone needs to replace it with an air con bypass. I also replaced the power steering belt and tensioner, I'm glad I did it was very perished. Just worried about rust at MOT time now. It looks good underneath but you never can tell. Cheers, much appreciated. 👍

      Thanks for sharing the useful info, I'll look into changing the belts now. My underneath needs a bit of TLC as I've seen rust on the sills (quite common on these)

      @@HatBoyHarvey I think the belt is of a Fiat Punto of all cars. But it's an exact fit. I don't use the air con here in the north of England and it just saps engine power and reduces fuel economy so I was happy to bypass it. I've also replaced the standard wheel nuts. As you know they have a ridiculous chrome cap that works loose and holds water underneath. I've got solid steel nuts now. Best repair yet. Thanks again old chap 🙂

    Hi Harvey I wondering if you have updated the firmware and maps on the Škoda Superb Columbus sat nav. If you haven't, would it be possible to do a video, as the other videos I've looked at aren't in English and I haven't a clue what's being done haha cheers 👍

      Thanks for the suggested video, I don't know how to do it myself so I would have to research it first to be sure how before doing that, but it won't be soon. If I am confident to do it without bricking it I will make a video.

    Brilliant Video ..
    I always use tiny bit of Vaseline n the seals of the run off pipes and electric clips , just for sealing
    Just on the coding, I have read/seen, that there is no electronic parts in the injector , so there is no need for coding , the ECU will calibrate it after about ten minutes run time ?
    Cant wait for the front springs
    If you do the side sils , Id watch that as well :)

      Thank for your input. I've also read that about the injector coding which should be good news for everyone think of doing this. I will code it if I can get my old tool to work though. Spring will come shortly as I need to get this car on the road, brakes need doing too.

    Hi Harvey great vlog as usual. I have also audi a3 1.9 tdi 55 reg. I have a problem with the passenger side front brake caliper. There are two screwed pins that go in the bracket. The problem is that the bracket has threads inside which holds the caliper in place. The threads have been rounded off. Is it possible to buy this bracket separately? I don't see anything like that on the Internet. Plus my central locking is working properly. The driver side window won't go down anymore. I can hear the click when I press the switch. I took the door card off and checked all the wiring. There were few cuts on the wiring which I have repaired however the rear doors won't lock with the central locking as well as the driver side window doesn't work. Somebody has suggested that the windows regulator needs replacing. I also took the car to a local garage to get the brake clapier checked. He charged me 30 pounds however the clunking is still there. The caliper needs re threading I think and he didn't do that.

      Yes, they call it the 'carrier' search for Audi A3 'caliper carrier' or 'caliper hanger'. Sounds like the motor has jammed or faulty, could be the carrier mechanism (yes another carrier) often the wires get tangled around the central spindle. Carrier panel off to check/replace. See if you can move the motor manually first. Locking issues could be down to micro-switch in drivers door.

      Thanks. Not with that device yet as they told me I needed to update the firmware and I haven't done that yet (thanks fr reminder) But I have re-coded the injector with the Ediag device successfully. I've Dane a video on that and will release it soon. Cars running ok now, just seem to have a battery drain on it, but it is rather cold ATM :-)

    Did you enter the particular injector code?

    • @HatBoyHarvey
      @HatBoyHarvey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't been able to yet as I just did it yesterday and it seems to run ok, but will try to do it if I can get my diagnostics tool to work.
