I have just discovered your channel, watched videos for the past 2 hours, and I have to say one thing. I completely lost faith in Lactation Consultants after I saw 2 different ones with my first child. Both experiences were frustrating to full on traumatizing. I battled for several months against low milk supply before the milk just stopped. I am now expecting my second child, as a working mom, and I am finally seeing that some Consultants can actually be helpful. Thank you for teaching me so much and making me believe in Lactation Consultants again.
I am so happy you’re here! I’m so sorry you had some bad experiences previously, but if I can help you make things better this time around, don’t hesitate to reach out 💙
I see this scenario so often! You’re not alone. If you want some help making it better this time, let us know! That’s what me and my team are here for 💙 bit.ly/45JgbXN
This is interesting since i just recently went through a dip in supply and never thought it could be my flange size ... fingers crossed that's all it is!
So I have a video recommendation. I am not a big enough channel to get attention doing it myself. So you have videos of the haakaa and using it and stuff but please please please do one explaining that the gen 1,2&3 haakaa are pumps and not letdown catchers. I have so many people telling me that they are catching 4-6oz of letdown. I am actually able to use them for a full pump session by squeezing them. I am then able to get a full pump session of milk from them. it's kind of like a hand pump with pumpin pals flanges on them. People respond different to different pumps including silicone pumps but the number of women pumping themselves into oversupply with silicone pumps is unreal. Then going "how do I lower my supply I don't pump i only catch 5 oz of letdown a nursing session" or I saw someone post the other day that their baby had all the signs of foremilk imbalance but because they didn't electric pump said they didn't have an oversupply. Only "a lot of letdown" it's such a big thing people I get it is not an electric pump use it instead will hurt your supply I know but it is a pump and people are not treating it like one. Please please please do a video on it.
I was in a battle 3 weeks ago because my supply was too low and my baby was fighting at the breast. And I decided to pump again after 5 months of no pumping. And girl, It was stressful, but thanks God I had increased my supply back. ❤ my baby is 18th month I feel sometime that I have low pumping output becase before pumping I feel not that enty. But, as I said, I had increased in some way. I'm getting 4 onzas and I was getting 0.5 ML after😢
Hello Unfortunately my milk supply has suddenly dropped 10 days ago and I tried many things including using flange inserts with different sizes but I didn’t find any change! Any suggestions
There are A LOT of factors that can contribute to that. I’d recommend working with a professional who can get the whole picture to figure out what’s going on 💙
My baby has tongue tie issue and she is now 3 months old .she drinking milk from my breast accept morning one bottle pumped milk and night before go bed one 2 ounces and then at my breast .but when she drinks milk from breast .she will not empty my breast most of the time .does that effect on my future supply.I pump morning after she drinks whatever left from last night and before going to bed .is normal or should I pump more often .what you suggest? Thank you 🙏
Sorry to jump in just I thought I would give a suggestion that worked for me because in the beginning my son had poor milk transference and I would pump then pump at work. Anyway I ended up with a huge oversupply and it ended up giving me a clog that led to mastitis which hit my supply hard. I recommend using a gen 3 haakaa while nursing your 3rd breast (so start baby on a side and don't attach the haakaa until you switch sides once you switch sides apply the haakaa to the side baby already ate from then when baby is done then you can attach to the other breast) then when you are done you can either store it or put the nipple on to feed baby. Remember it is a pump so if baby is getting enough milk from the nursing session let your body regulate which normally happens on the first couple months because removing milk when you don't feel "empty" can cause your body to go off supply and demand and cause an oversupply so try to only do this when baby is not getting enough from nursing. This trick can spare you some dishes and keep you from overproducing from the extra stimulation.

You are basically narrating my breastfeeding journey going back to work with my first.
I'm determined for it to be different this time.

Would you recommend getting different size flange inserts on hand?
It wouldn’t hurt to have a few options!
