Thank you so much for sharing your process! Your patches are beautiful, and so inspiring for someone who struggles to program the wavestate (but desperately wants to get better😅) thank you thank you! Can’t wait for more!

Had my Wavestate desktop just over a week now. No real issue with build quality - the sockets all line up at the back normally (note that the main chassis is actually plastic, and the front panel and rack ears are metal - I don't think that's going to be an issue - just feels a bit lighter weight than I was expecting). Being able to play the Wavestate V2 engine on a full size 88 key keyboard with the desktop unit at a nice angle directly in front is very nice.

I've been following your videos for a while but this one got you a subscription :-)
The '90s kid in me has really been feeling that ambient adventure and RPG music lately.

I love my Wavestate! It really is amazing for the price. Good demos here.

Dan Phillips (R&D at Korg) said that the raspberry pi module inside is actually more expensive than the usual components you find in synths, which is ironic considering people keep talking about it as if it's some cheap cop out.
Even with that said, the rest of the materials can't have been that expensive to produce.
If they'd made it similar in quality to Modal's small form factor synths that'd be amazing, however, personally I don't really mind the light build (I bought the Modwave and Opsix too).

Superb, you’ve absolutely nailed that sound.

Korg executives scratching their heads trying to figure out if this video is a positive or negative, haha. Really too bad about the build quality on the desktops, they do sound great and I might have considered an OpSix Desktop at some point.

This synth is wild to me. I can't deny that every time I hear it it sounds epic as hell, but for some reason, I worry that it seems all a bit "premade" or maybe too canned? This video is making me really consider one though, cuz these types of pads and ambiences are really appealing to me.

I have a hydrasynth deluxe and rev 2 and wavestate. The wavestate does things nothing else can. I’ll go long periods without touching it, but every time I go back to it I can keep the grin off of my face. You can load your own samples into it as well, so it gives you incredible flexibility with your sounds.

Korg should’ve just launched the SE version first, because that should be the benchmark. Especially since the engine is so great. Instead they go the cheap road, with plastic enclosures, flimsy knobs and awful keyboards, and when they launch the SE version, everyone is like “whoa, that’s expensive!”
