If that's true, I'm happy for them. However, if those are numbers simply provided by them I don't know how accurate they are. Everything finance related made no sense in their pitch. She had a viral instagram post and projected a 2 year forecast based on that single day of viral sales. Assuming your long-term sales will match your single highest day of sales is very strange, especially since it was clearly from a viral situation. Obviously they have a good product which is the most important thing, but you can't run a successful company when you are that out of touch with the numbers. They probably asked for 90% of the company because they had no faith they knew how to scale a growing business based on their statements.

But please, explain away how great of a decision that was.
They could had easily taken that million and put it in Bitcoin then and had 4.3 million at the end of last year. That doesn’t include the royalties they could had gotten from two sharks for the business which most likely would be worth a lot more today at the hands of two sharks than just two people who couldn’t get organize. The profits of the company with two sharks would have the company at a higher value today and their royalties would had been a lot more.
That’s just being a safe investor, anyone who actually would know what to do with that million and royalties could had flipped it in real estate for a lot more in 4 years span. They could had easily use the million and 10% royalties to get rental properties that is worth more than 7 million, which is the value of the company.
They could easily had negotiated and asked for an equity deal if the shark sold the company for a certain years just to safe guard the investment….
But please explain why you think it was such a great idea to turn it down, since you think I need to learn business.

They'll have to spend most of that on expansion, marketing, raw materials, so who knows if the founders are even taking much of a salary - maybe 100k each max. With Mark's deal he would've thrown millions at it, got it up and running, made deals with fast food chains. Ok I'm not sold on any of them except Atlas Monroe. The fact they turned down the $1M offer alone makes me want to try it. They made the smart decision. I was screaming NO DON'T TAKE IT. Because they offered that they would most certainly do what they asked yet didn't. They wanted to buy them out completely but give some equity. Yeah how about no.

They were all confused. Barbra didn’t say it in the best way. But what she said was right. They don’t have the orders. They have fake ones. They don’t have the inventory. If they can’t fulfill the order then it’s not an order. You’re just inflating numbers at that point saying well we do have the orders. No you don’t.

This couple is very smart to turn the deal down. It seems like the Sharks were trying to buy off the business for $1M with absolute power and control and only 10% royalty for the couple. That's a rip off.

Business Perspective for Mark and Rohan's Offer: It actually was a pretty decent offer. Offering a 10% royalty means that they get 10% of sales which is truly incredible. For example 10% on 100M of sales (which is a very realistic point to reach) would be 10M cash for them with no work. They could then put that money to work on another business venture supported by the guaranteed profits from the deal. (In short they would get a guaranteed stream of income from which they could build in the future)
