I love this couple. They had an amazing pitch, a very sad but powerful story that backed up their motivation for the product and most importantly got the interest of all the sharks to the point that there was a whopping surplus of offers which never happens. I hope they succeed tremendously.

Gosh, her story about losing her mom made me cry, I lost my mom in a car accident 7 years ago. I already was looking up their website to buy it before she said that, and this is the first purchase I will ever make from watching Shark Tank. This seems like an amazing product, and I have severe anxiety coupled with depression. I hope I like it as much as I do just hearing about it, and that it will actually help me sleep more soundly and avoid the endless amount of nightmares I have on a regular basis. You also have to keep in mind that this is TV. Every sales pitch that is presented takes at least an hour or more. A lot of edits are made in order to keep the show within its respected time.

Why is no one talking about $99.99 ??? This thing looks worth about $30 MAXIMUM.
Well there are several things I could say here. One is that it's not the production that you're paying for, it's the IP. It's also a novelty gift kinda thing, so it could sell at a premium. Also, if it costs $22.50 to make, who would sell it for $30? Lastly, it looks like it's listed at $65 on Amazon now. They probably cost their costs down to low teens. Do you complain about the $2 soda that has 5 cents worth of liquid in it? Do you complain about the $5 ice cream that probably has 50 cents or less ingredients in it?
How/why do you think that?
It costs them $24 to produce I think they said. Selling them just barely over the cost to produce at $30 is a extremely poor business plan.

Great pitch. The couple is an Engineer and a Psychologist. They have expertise on how to convince people on the technical detail as well as persuade the minds of the sharks and viewers/customers using emotion and stories. They know exactly what they were doing, what to say, how to act. Are they authentic? I think so, and I would support them. But they could have fooled anyone easily.

The Mark-Lori combo is definitely what this product needed. Easy to argue "3 are better than 2", but it's not about the body count. It's about what those bodies represent.
