    It’s weird to see the two biggest blunders first and then a pretty good pitch. Pluto came in with a valuation they could barely justify, and then Lola came in with no sales. Those things will make sharks run faster than anything. The last company came in with good sales and a reasonable valuation so of course they got the deal they wanted with a good shark.

    After making a bed like 100 times in a row, you will have no problems with lining up the corners and it will be much more efficient than walking around the bed unzipping stuff. Also 15 feet long zipper will become a disaster after heavy duty washers

    Beddley is a fantastic product and I really think that if someone made an investment in a product and did a marketing and labeling the right way, they would make millions. Unfortunately it didn't happen.

    Its actually easy to put on a duve cover. You have the cover inside out, grab the corners of the duve through the cover, and then flip it inside out! Easy.

    Where do these people get their valuations from? They've only made 490k in their current year and slightly more than 400k the year before. half of that went to materials and shipping and they have to pay 3 staff with the rest if an investor owned 5% they'd probably only get a return of 5-10k per year at the current sales

      Once sales go up, they go up quicker and quicker , lets say you make 100k,2 years ago, 200k 1year ago, and 400k this year, you dubble the money you make evry year and based on that you can predict u will make 800k next year...

      That's how businesses work. If they sell at cost they wouldn't make any money and would go out of business, leaving us with no product to buy.
      Although ideally they would get that $30 cost down to increase their margins, it shouldn't cost that much to make a pillow once they scale their business.

      Also reminds me of the first Shark Tank pitch, "Mr. Tod's Pies." I don't remember what he said it cost to make the pies back then, but he is doing very well now and a whole pie costs $70 online. I considered maybe buying one for Thanksgiving but when I saw it was $70 I was like umm I don't think so.
      I've seen fancy, gourmet Cheesecake companiea that ship cheesecakes around the country for $40. I *might* consider $40 if it was a special occasion for someone who really enjoyed it, but $70 for a dessert is too much.

    They didn't understand Beddley because the sharks haven't made their own beds in probably 30 years. Her numbers were a problem, sure, but I don't think they fully grasp the inconvenience that the product solves.

    13:28 kinda wish you could do that duvet thing with the whole mattress for the sheets. It’s a pain trying to get fitted sheets on a bed that you can’t get all the way around.

      Sharks were harsh to her. Sure, her sales are terrible and valuation out of whack, but that hasn’t stopped the sharks from making offers in the past. She said herself she knows nothing about marketing, that’s why she needs a shark.

    It takes literally 30 seconds to flip the comforter into the duvet. Lola will also have to immediately compete with Chinese Amazon businesses that have a complete disregard for quality and drive the price down with polyester against her 100% cotton.
