Easy to set up and get running when we have power outages. I especially like the dual fuel feature as I don’t need to worry about aging gasoline and keep both on hand. Live in Texas where web had some power outage issues the past couple of winters and this gives me peace of mind for the refrigerator or small appliances as needed.

Surprising results from the comparison! Good timing - only 76 days until Hurricane Season - I can't believe it. I've been thinking about investing in something like this for temporary back-up power in an emergency. I'd be interested to see how it performs on overcast/cloudy conditions too. Looking forward the Power Station review. 👍👍

I bought the Eco Flow Delta 1300. It came with two 160w solar panels. Today, I thought I would try out one of the solar panels on it. Quite easy to set up, though at first I had them facing backwards and pulling in 3 watts. Realized my mistake, turned them around right and the input power soared to 100%, then edged up to 107 watts. The Eco Flow was at 92% charge when I began. Got as high as 97% before the sun got lower in the sky and input watts dropped to 17. Called it a day and took it down, but I was fairly impressed. Hook up both panels earlier in the day and it should go even better.

I have the one up station look just like it. I have two of them and I’ve been running it off my Prius for the last two months due to California flooding but I would like to upgrade to solar panels so I don’t have to use my car all the time but my car pumps a little over 100 to it for my 18ft camp trailer was powered by it, including AC unit and refrigerator I bought both of them from QVC and now I ordered the solar panels. They’ve been a lifesaver. My place flooded out and it was even on the news.

The new 220 watt Ecoflow solar has bifacial sides which means it gets solar from the sun on one side and the backside it gets the UV bounce. They are under $500. They have a new power station too called the Delta 2 which has improved from 800 life cycles to 3,000 life cycles, worls of an app, has x-surge technology, and is expandable up to over 3,000wh. They are running a special bundle Delta 2 with solar.

Get all panels to face the sun perfectly, make some kind of pvc stand and experiment with tilt angle you will get closer to rated power. I backed the Kickstarter ecoflow r600 pro with the LiFe battery w 768 wh costing only 479$.
    Its an Awesome sogen.
As for your other aluminum frame panel the glass tempered glass and is usually rated to take hard hits. As for under side panels are usually installed in a way where nothing should hit the bottom side.

Your video convinced me that the EcoFlow solar panel kit was a good product. I am testing it now, and it works pretty much as you described it. It's a sunny day today, but there are clouds moving through. My EcoFlow power station is at about 50%. The display indicates six hours to full charge in full sun, indicating 100 watts or so, but once a cloud moved over the time estimate went up significantly.

The Jackery solarpanel is actually giving you more than it states, I got 112W at max from my 100W panel. Seen it in other reviews too. I don't like everything about the Jackery products, but the output of their solarpanel is really good - at least what I've seen and I own.

Power input to the battery is controlled by the charger as well . When the battery is near full , good chargers decrement charge rate , so battery does not warm up . You have to test power output using a known load , you can even short circuit the panel for short period of time and measure current .

I'm still undecided because where I'm at in kentucky and my 2 separated cabins both operate electric heaters and cook tops are 220 and the ovens are 220 volts. We've gone a week with clouds probably insufficient to heat and cook for over a few hours making these systems not beneficial for constant usage ! And then the air conditioning should be 220 and my 220 laundry electric dryer will run several loads of laundry to dry. These generators are really really not up to the demands of a house that is 220 summer and winter. Yet the need for sustainable months on end HAVE to be grid bound !! So these are great units but haven't reached the level of constant demand ,,,, yet.

    • @allthecommonsense

You can generally run 2 same size panels into EcoFlow, depending on which battery you have, because some can only take a smaller maximum input. They sell a specific adaptor cable that allows for parallel panels.

Actually the Jackery is jacked up, as it will not charge at the 200W of the 200W panels. Run the test on an EcoFlow River Pro and see the difference. The 160W EcoFlow foldable panel is still stellar, the Jackery, not so much.

  • @allthecommonsense
    @allthecommonsense 2 ปีที่แล้ว

2:03 so the solar panel is waterproof, but the battery is not. Charging cables are very short. How will you charge it in the rain? If light is not sufficient for charging in the rain, then why does it matter if the panel is waterproof?

Good video however comparing a Jackery to an Ecoflow is comparing apples to oranges, the Jackery 1000 uses old charging tech and only allows for a max of 163W input from Solar, so you do not get a true comparison when charging from solar however you do prove that the Ecoflow offers better tech.

Or do I have to stay around and turn it off once it's maxed out?.. • @tangoseal1

The Roof Mount is more than likely putting out 200watts or so ... the Jackery and the Ecoflow are just rate limiting the charge for safety reasons. If it were possible you could just hook up a 20KW solar panel and instantly charge both devices at the same time instantly. But ... in reality you would have explosions, burned circuits, etc....
