It's the ultimate version of an epic saga where everyone in the show is either pitted against themselves or merely a victim of circumstance. Mr. Robot was never about catharsis or anything along those lines. As a matter of fact, things always started going wrong whenever Elliot became self-righteous or passionate.
This is our personal hell. To re-live our worst decisions and when we wake up with better intentions, or leading a better life, we strangle it and make the same choices again.
It’s an under discussed element of the show, everything Elliot touched was poisoned. Everyone around him was left in a wake of pain, from his sister, Angela, Gideon, all his workmates, F Society, Tyrel, Price, Darlyn… god even his fish suffered.
We've all thought about taking someone out because they are evil or the world maybe better but, this shows we never have the full story and could be making a mistake.

Something just didn't sit right with me with Gideon's killer... If he *really* was a conspiracy theorist, why call Gideon both "patsy" and "crisis actor"? The former is not aware of the agenda, the latter is. He can't be both, right? It seems like 'Brock' uses conspiracy buzz words, so that passerbyes catch on to at least one or two. This scratches that part of a mind where random meetings like this doesn't happen. Not without a condition. That condition seems to be threatening Elliot with going with all information to the authorities. Leon shown that Elliot had protection and eyes of Dark Army on him in the prison, it's foolish to assume they didn't listen to his visits.
They mention the guy was taken into custody, whereas we know DA operatives will wipe themselves if they're compromised, so maybe he was just manipulated by them rather than being a direct DA operative?
