    Camera are now importable with Zbrush, I just tried with Mata 2018 & Zbrush 2020, great stuff

    If you click S to bring up the brush size and then Alt-click on the brush size marking menu, it will dock the camera setting for you.

    Thank you for making this video. Actually the zooming in on the model in Zbrush doesn't maintain the selected focal length, you can notice that when the "AC" starts to light up at the top of the screen next to quick save button. That means that zbrush is automatically cropping, so I don't think that let's say a closeup of a character's face in zbrush would really have the same focal length as in other software, even if the focal lengths of cameras are the same. Also the perspective in zbrush doesn't seem to be object related but scene related regardless of zooming in or framing a specific object. If someone knows if that's at all doable in Z - to have a true focal length maintained without auto cropping occuring please share!

    Kaoru Sakaki sculpts in ortho. He does anime figurines for 3d printing.I just realised that I've been sculpting in ortho for an entire year. Thanks guys.

    I'm now convinced that the main goal of the ZBrush devs is to take basic features that have existed in 3D software for decades and see how awkward and unintuitive they can make them. "I know! Let's put the camera under the Draw menu, set the focal length range from 0.15708 to 2062.5957, and stick a giant undo and redo button on there. Perfect, ship it!"

      @Zinogg I think you're right. I hold out hope they'll do a major rewrite at some point. Not likely, but you never know!

    This is really helpful to a hobbyist like me who actually uses ZBrush for their renders. If I want another pass at my subject with a different light (for compositing in 2D software) I can recall the camera to get an exact match. Whereas before, I would need to redo all the renders (without ever moving the view!)

    store camera didnt support ortho view thats why I still use timeline.

    Exporting cameras only in FBX (to maya) works now in 2022 :)

      Would you plz tell me how to export it as every time I try to export it gives me blank fpx file and no thing showing in maya

    Can you save these camera stores with the file? is it only with a full save vs a tool save?

    I just tested exporting the camera from Blender to Zbrush, but it doesn't work still. Tried various things with FBX format. Even imported it using USD format, but USD import in Zbrush doesn't allow a camera yet. Maybe in future.

    As always in zbrush. You are working with a list, but you can't see the damn list, you just have to remember that it's there.

    Why do we need to again RETOPO if we have zRemesh in Zbrush.... can't we use that for animation, rigging, or in game engine...???????

      yea, but its not always gonna come out 100% perfect all the time, you might have to go in and tweak some areas depending on your needs
