    Very good video and analysis of the problem. Looking forward to using my press for the first time (other than initial setup) on some 308 Win cases with various methods of case prep. Well done Matt, Cheers!

    Always love the videos. Using the AMP since 2018.

    Excellent. This explains why my new Lapua seating pressure is almost double the once-fired (with follow up annealing). Even thought Lapua is factory annealed, it is just too clean inside the case, which as Alex explains, increases the friction dramatically. And which is why some of the reloaders say to just shoot up new brass and then do load development on once fired or more.

      ROFLMAO. Clean brass has more friction than dirty brass? Hilarious. Try sizing clean brass and oxidized "dirty" brass.
      You DO size your brass after firing,.correct? If not there is your difference in neck tension i.e. "seating force".

    Any future plans of coming out with an app that will work on tablets like an IPad?

    Would it be a lower seating force if you annealed, then resized and still not brushed the inside of the neck? My understanding is you should clean brass, anneal, resize, use graphite or neolube 2 inside the neck, prime, charge then seat the bullet.

      You HAVE to resize after annealing. The whole point of annealing is to "soften" the brass so it doesn't split during sizing.
      What the hell else would you do it for?.

      @@deeremeyer1749 my statement was not about should one anneal or not or at what point they should… but rather how you treat the inside of the neck

    Do you see any differences after multiple firings of the cases?

    You guys wouldn't reply to my technical question email pre-sale. I'm really wondering what your support is post-sale...

      I have contacted AMP twice over the last couple of years. Their customer service is extremely fast and good. Alex is very patient and answered every question that I had.

    So you didn't anneal after firing..
    Like that press😉

      @annealingmadeperfect1257  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We actually did anneal the cases as per our standard practice but forgot to mention it.
      This would have also ensured that the hardness was the same for the virgin and once fired cases.

      If new brass owners lubed their inner neck ..problem solved too I guess...

      @@annealingmadeperfect1257 Did you / do you anneal also new cases? Just to make sure they are softened (at least) to same softness?
