      Same here! I even designed 3 adjustable, case head specific heat sinks. I can do everything from 223 to 300 win mag and everything between with them. It controls the heat travel so well it looks like the annealing stain is painted across the cases when they are stood in line. Probably overkill but they work....just couldn't find an interested investor.

    Just got one, a few days ago and it's so easy to use. Without even trying, I easily anneal 8 rounds per min. I normally reload 50 rounds for my local range. Therefore by the time I finish a cup of coffee my annealing is done. You get what you pay for plus your not using a naked flame in the house. As my house insurance will not cover me for high pressure gas in a cylinder or naked flame application.

      I have no form of background noise with my own. Could it be some form of vibration perhaps put a mat or towel below the machine. This might help

    My MKII is completely sufficient for me. I can do without the database. And the AMP is already hard to get hold of in Germany.

    Hi there, It's amazing how overpriced this new annealing machine is, for only doing 1 brass at a time. At that price, it should be automatic rotating & ejection don't you think.??? I anneal brass with my cordless RYOBI TEK4 screwdriver & ¼" socket. The best cordless screwdriver I have found for that & RCBS pro-2 brass trimmer. Have a awesome evening.

    This new version looks great.
    Please tell me something, after how many batches did you find there was less “fun” in annealing? “How much does that feeder cost?” 😝
    😢When I first heard of Amp, and then their price I wa surprised. When I mentioned it to an older shooter his response also surprised me. Rather than “you don’t need that fancy stuff “, he said, , “If I was just really getting into this sport I’d buy it in a heartbeat”.
    If you have the money go for it and enjoy. 😊

    • @CaptainCreampie69
      @CaptainCreampie69 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      What did you expect an unconditional lifetime warranty with no caveats? Some people are so dumb or negligent that they shouldn’t have their stuff fixed under a warranty anyway. If you shoot as much as someone who buys this does, you will more than get your use out of it.

    • @BrianClarkpharmd

      @@barts208I love reloading, I love bench shooting my bolt actions, but I maybe shoot 100 rounds max in a day, every month or two. I’d love to be able to justify buying one myself, but infrequent use and knowing there’s only 3 years under warranty keeps me from buying.

    I don’t have this model but the last version is amazing. If you want to anneal the best way possible this is it. For the torch guys - do you. Does a torch work? Sure it does. The AMP does it far better and far more consistently.

    Wish I could afford one of these, but then again I dont know if this vs the Ugly annealer will make a difference in what I do, and the ugly annealer is pretty much a hands free system. Just load cases, fire up the torch and flip a switch.

    For those that think the price is high, it's a free market. If it is too high then some one should enter into the market and compete with them. Even at the price they are charging, the unit is worth it for the demographic it is targeting.

    • @BrianClarkpharmd
      @BrianClarkpharmd 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed, until it quits working 3 years and 1 day after purchase and it’s a lead weight at that time. If it had a better warranty I’d be all over it. But 3 years sucks

    • @Danthrax66
      @Danthrax66 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Erik Cortina showed a few years ago that even large variances in annealing time produced similar tension results for cases, this doesn't offer any advantage over using cheaper propane annealers or buying a handheld induction heater and just lining up cases and annealing them by hand. The consistency isn't something that yields meaningful results and ends up just taking more time for this step which is very forgiving and can be accomplished much faster with other machines. Now if this was an annealing machine that also let you load cases into a hopper and it took care of orienting them and then annealing them without me having to handle each case then that would be a different story.

    • @StuninRub
      @StuninRub 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @Danthrax66 What he didn't show was the setup time. How long does it take to tweak a propane torch and monitor it for consistent temperature and gas flow? Gas storage? Start-up time on the AMP is less than 10 seconds. The fact that its fire hazard risk is mitigated to near non-existent levels is worth the money alone. There's a reason why Erik stopped using his gas annealer.

    • @StuninRub
      @StuninRub 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @BrianClarkpharmd There is no evidence that their annealers are failing at the 3 year mark. There's a reason why people stop using their gas annealers altogether once they get the AMP.
      Nobody is trying the AMP and then going; "You know HWHAT? I love how the brass tastes of propane and propane accessories. This induction annealing is nonsense, I want an open flame and extremely flammable gas near my extremely flammable powders. That's how our forefathers did it, and that's how I'll do it."
      Induction is superior to gas in every way and it's worth every penny in time savings and safety.

    • @massmike11
      @massmike11 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Since it uses induction heating, that greatly reduces the fire hazard

    Looking for info on a 7mm rifle build. I've boiled it down to 284 Shehane or 7mm prc. The rifle will be a heavy binchrest setup for 600 to 1760yrds+. Research is showing me the 7mm prc seems more available and cheaper. But the 284 shows more efficient pushing the same bullet gr at very close velocities to 7mm prc using less powder. I just wonder if there's any real accuracy difference between the two calibers. Thanks

    The bulky form factor and the annoyingly clunky manual work flow is so unimpressive, particularly considering the premium price.
    Can somebody please explain to me how this is better than something like the burstfire annealer?
    I like annealers that allow you to fill a simple hopper with the batch of brass and let it rip.
    I don’t think induction anneals any “better” than propane flame, but I estimate that many users of flame annealers commit the user error of chronically under annealing their brass by setting the duration of the brass dwell in the flame too short out of fear of “ruining” their brass and thus ending up with partially annealed brass which will have less consistent ductility. I find this ironic because the same people will be perfectly comfortable with allowing an induction annealer to expose their brass to a WAY higher temperature, much closer to the point of actual material degradation without any fear of ruining their brass despite giving up control to a device that is capable of melting the brass in short order and heats the brass to within fractions of a second away from ruin every time whilst also hiding it from sight. This is highly irrational.
    I am not suggesting that induction annealers do not anneal very consistently because they do… It’s just that there are other ways to fully anneal brass at a fraction of the cost with superior work flow for handling large quantities. There is room for more innovation here IMO.
    Cheers!
