Love everything about these videos - the frayed ropes, the onions hanging in the net, the old tarp over an old outboard, Barry's beard and worn out T-shirts, stitched-up tears in the main sail, and Barry's excitement mixed real sailing concerns. Does it make me want to do the same thing? Not on your life! But, that's a big reason I love watching Barry. Get to safely pretend.

We have been following your adventures for a while. When I complained why do we have to cart water containers on the dinghy to fill our recently acquired catamaran, the reference to your episodes where you carry all your containers to the island to replenish your water supply made it so much easier to cope with my complaints. Barry I really love watching your videos. Are you planning to come to Australia any time soon. If we are sailing anywhere in the proximity would love to meet you.

There was a 2:30 min ad at the beginning of your video Barry , I let run because that helps your stats. The 'broker' ad showed a 200' super-yacht with a just a young family and a couple of guests enjoying themselves on the yacht and jet skis in total luxury. But they were missing the point of having a yacht and cruising . Yes they were having fun but the exploration and challenges were non existent. They never even showed the excitement of visiting interesting or exotic places. The contrast was stunning. I'm so glad we have folks like Barry sharing real life and adventure, we need both but I much prefer to enjoy the Adventurers of an old sea dog! Cheers Warren.

Hey, you old farmer, I mean sailor, I think you just gave me an entre into the world of sailing; cleaning beaches. That could be a reason to approach the world of wet. I'd be a maverich though, in some respect perhaps. The precocious nature of water reminds me of a colder variant, namely ice, victim of which I was in a rollover this winter. Wonder if the risk is commensurate with my similiar pedigree, not necessarily in saltiness, but in age.
One of your best so far. Love how you pay homages to past explorers and passages. You're totally right, sailing explorers past were like modern day astronauts. Were it not for sailing we would not have even discovered and civilized our own continent. Thanks again :)
you are very brave and " Ballsy" to keep sailing the world by yourself. I have always appreciated that about you and the videos you create. I watch over 30 different youtube channels that are specifically about people sailing and choosing the boat life over the traditional land life of 9 to 5 and the chaos that is the world today. I believe yours to be the only solo journey channel that I watch . I would be worrying constantly about Pirates, bad weather, disaster etc . clearly you are skilled at the art of sailing and even if i had that skill I would be terrified of mother nature, the oceans of the world rogue waves, and everything else that comes with the life style you have chosen for yourself. I admire your strength and courage . I also admire your eye for good content on youtube. I have recently switched jobs and while I regret it now i am sure it will all work out but I often think about switching from the land life of the boring and infuriating 9 to 5 life and going to take some classes on sailing or just navaigating the worlds oceans on a vessle . In the end I believe this to be my destiny , I do not know when or how yet but i feel it in my bones. the more i watch your videos the more I feel this is my true destiny. to be out on the water, creating my own life , luck, and obstacles to over come . Seadog, I saw one of your vids where your grommet on the fore sail was just about shot. Here's a trick the American Indians use to tie their tipi to the ground. They use a small rock (I use a golf ball) stick the golf ball in the corner of the sail. wrap your line (sheets) around the ball. This is a good way to jury rig it.
