I do totally opposite in the US. Desi food is not that expensive but it’s better if you make it at home, unless you live in California or NY, so I always get Mexican or Vietnamese 😅

I agree, I also ordered and usually they send rice complementary with any curry but I wrote a note that please can you send one roti instead of rice and they did. I would never be able to make side requests to a non indian restaurant. I know they won't do anything out of order.
Why ? I might not like it with biryani but I drink it at the end to wash it down. Depends on the consistency of the raita really, if it's thick then what can you do ?
