It is pretty ironic and insulting, both to players and developers, to make something great and then, suddenly,change your ways to laziness. Then, make a game that isn't original. They are always exceptions. This game for me, is in the category of "The most unique games". Combines an excellent story, strong and proper, likeable female protagonist (very rarely seen). In addition, it combines a large variety of mini games, racing, stealth,combat, puzzles. You name them.

I started this game that had been sitting in my Steam library for a while. I played the intro, and beginning the game with such an epic battle and music is a fantastic way to make you want to keep playing. I can already tell that the adventure I'm about to experience will be unforgettable. I hope I won't have to wait as long for the second installment as most people watching this video have.
I like how the last part starting at 4:47 includes the motiv from the final boss theme (its played at the "space fight" outside the domz base, so pretty fitting as an "approaching" theme). You can hear it clearly at 5:26. Same Baseline and the distinct bell at the beginning of a new 16 beat row.
This song is the very reason i never wanted to land on the platform with the Beluga on the moon. I just kept StarFox64-ing everywhere and shooting shit all day
I got this game for free a while ago on Uplay and I have to say, it's pretty damn good, minus the camera being a spaz. But I guess we Monster Hunter players are used to bad cameras, huh? ;)

The final war between Alpha’s and Army’s spaceships has always gave me goosebumps. That part of the game reminded me the Battle of Bastards somehow. The part when Jon is ready to engage combat with Bolton’s cavalry until his own cavalry joins the battle to protect him!
Shauni is the Domz name from Jade. The Domz call her Shauni and I think she was a Domz creature. They just want her back, or something. This is what I understood from the game. Thanks for the cool lyrics, Ascensiam.
Shauni was the name of the DomZ High Preist 'power source' it was what gave him and all his creatures power. However, Jade's parents and possibly others, under the rule of this oppressive race (At least from what I gathered) sought to kill the DomZ by taking away the power they feed on. However it didn't die, just feed off of lesser life forms misery and other emotions to survive. Hunting Jade/Shauni down to force her... it? not sure, back into the role as the 'food source' Currently, it's unknown is Shauni was a person or just a concept of power put into a human baby. What we do know is Shauni has enough power to bring back dead people to life, and still be fine herself. Meaning that she is possibly something else entirely that we have yet to find out.

I remember my dad playing this game and trying to beat it by myself too but I didn't understand english at that time so I couldn't beat it. Damn those were good times.

Man, with BG&E being reconfirmed, I really hope they show us some footage soon. Really hope they nail the music and general atmosphere. The gameplay can be as mediocre as it wants, but that is my one real hope for that game.

Justforvisit Actually, Duke Nukem Forever was made in a year. That being said, the fans were waiting 12 years for that game, well the most loyal ones were. And BG&E II started development in 2008 or 2009, maybe later.
It's funny how PS3 was brand new when they announced BG&E2 (2006-2007 IIRC). If you think about it, we're having a PS4 (maybe even next gen) game as the sequel of a PS2 game. It's impressive. I hope it'll be on PC like the first one - it would be a shame if it wasn't.

While that is true, that would only aply to your earlier argument if the teaser you talked about (there are two teasers now, by the way) came out shortly after the release of the origional game. In this case, the teaser came out a few months ago, long after the poor sales had become an issue. This renders the "Psychonauts dilemma" irrelivant; if Ubisoft still has believe in the sequel enough at this time to release the teaser, then they apparently have confidence in the sequel's success.
Not quite complete without Jade going 'ha! hiyah! Ha!' and the domz going 'graaar graaar graaar!' as they get pounded by the Dai'jo, but I s'pose it'll do ;P
