Really nice bikes already with stock engine! Mine has also 1550 with some more power and I changed to the busa fork and that really transforms the bike😃
With nearly 150 horse power at the wheel you have 175 hp at the crank! Massive power gain over stock 👏 check out my old school gsxr 1100 on the dyno on my chanel 👍🏻
Nice video. I got one too. My engine was converted at Motospeed in Sweden. Stamps were delivered from J.P. Piston in California. Cams were also built higher there by J.P. The top was ported. Klutch springs switched to stronger. Full Akropovic 4 to 1. KN air filter. Powerkomander and Dyno. Also switched oil to fully synthetic 10w40. My got 155Hp and 156Nm on the rear wheel. Video will come next summer.
l would have bought one .......but the seat was 'Shit' like all new Bikes they are so thin for my Old & Fat Ass and they did not have a after market one just a Blow up seat ( it felt like a Blow up Doll lol , so the gsx1400 became my present to Me ,l just sat on it , it was the perfect height , no road test nothing , put $500 a month then at the last minute found a 1400 , l was so lucky to get this one ,they were flying out the door on special promotion at $12.490. not $13,990 , road it carefully to my mates warehouse and it sat there for two weeks , cos it was school break l worked non stop for two weeks...... 1st chance l got when out on the road l was shitting myself , but no it was HEAVEN man the Bike was "FUCKING AWESOME ".l still have her 9 years later l am "HOOKED"on her , l will only change her if Suzuki brings out a GSX1600 or even GSX 1800 with ABS on Brakes and Cornering like KTM did .
Power Commander allows you tune the Fuel mixture (air fuel ratio). So you can do airbox mods n improve breathing and similarly put in full exhaust system. Doing this will increase the flow of air n fuel thus ruining the AFR. Then comes in power commander which allows u to tune your AfR to 13:1 and then your bike makes more power and runs smoothly and safely. Too lean afr will make ur bike run hot n deteriorate engine life. Similarly bazaz ignition module also allows u to tune ignition timing. So these are ways to tune ur bike. Mapping means u map the entire rev range on the dyno n custom tune your bike to get exact afr numbers this making the most power. Hope this helps
@@RD-cd1cy Cheers I already have a K& N airfilter and delkevik exhaust and it runs fine as for the power im 63 and it certainly goes fast enough for me. Thanks for explaining.
@@stevedunn5546 If you´ve changed the exhaust and air filter to make it more free flowing then you definitely need to have it tuned, preferably re-mapped .. its more than likely now running to lean which in the long run is detrimental for the motor.
Wow awesome video l have a Black 1400k8 Standard ,as you can see my pic yes l am old man lol (63) and Love the thrill being out on the road just riding seeing you on your 1550 yeah felt a little jealous but hey l wish l was 35 years younger l would have done the same thing and spent lots of money , if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost the last owner ?? Mind you he was mad to sell it , oh well his loss your gain ha ha ha take care ride safe from me charlie ,Melbourne , Australia .
Hi buddy, yeah he shelled out nearly £4k on engine mods and further £1.5k on the rest and accesories. One of a kind machine indeed. Have a look at the other vid where i filmed acceleration of it, that's really ridicilous !
@@Adikxx l forgot to ask you about your thoughts on the handling , l find the front Tyre kinda rolls some times and that scares me cos l think l am getting / got a slow leak (Flat) but no it is fine , l find the rear suspension some what interesting, thank god for the Thick Seat to protect my ass , l still Love the Bike and would Not change it unless they (Suzuki) came up with a bigger Bore say 1600 or even 1800 then l would re think my options lol ( my tyres are Michelin road smart 3 ).
@@charles.stewart4422 my thoughts on handling are-it doesn't handle lol. That beefy swingarm makes it hard to force to go in the corner. It wants the bike to go straight. Every time i ride it i feel like i wrestle a pig. Huge downfall to me tbh but that engine....

You said the Busa seat was Crap after a long ride ,well it got me thinking why don't you get a couple of spare seats from written off Busa's (sorry all u Busa Lover's) and use your contacts in the Bike industry and try different thicknesses to find the most comfortable seat , l am guessing you still have the Busa l would love it to have the 1400gsx seat and storage. why Suzuki didn't do this l do not know pretty dumb huh .

Nice, but for sustained high speed riding the faired busa is the obvious choice, unless you want hulk neck muscles. Another great video thanks.

Ive had a 14 for 12 years. What does a power commander and remapping do for the bike? Is it worth the money?

Do you still own this bike?
No, sold it.

I have a 1550 and mine makes 150 at the back wheel at 7500 rpm with 113 lb/ft of torque, you are over revving yours,
